septic tank
 + -1 moreThe first 2 servicemen arrived at the agreed-upon time and located the septic tank using a water probe. They dug down to the tank covers and prepped the site for the tank pumping. The actual pumping was done by a third serviceman who arrived shortly after the first team had left. He removed the tank covers and pumped out both compartments. Since I'd had no previous experience with septic tanks, I had a lot of questions which he answered very professionally and thoroughly. When the tanks were emptied, he hosed off the tank walls, replaced the tank covers and filled the holes over the tanks. He cleaned up the area thoroughly before he left. All the workmen were pleasant, responsive and clearly knew what they were doing. When they were through, I felt very reassured that I could deal with having a septic tank rather than being connected to sewer lines. In addition, I should mention that the entire process of dealing with this company was pleasant and professional. From my original phone call to gather information, to the appointment setting, to the couple of times they called me on the actual work day to keep me aware of their time-lines and to make sure the work was proceeding as agreed, I could not have been happier. I will certainly use this company again as needed and will recommend them to my neighbors.

 + -1 moreThey were very nice! We contacted them first on facebook and asked questions. Their response was very quick and thorough. Monica answered questions and also called us to explain further and set up an appointment. She gave us a time window and then called us about 30 minutes before they were going to arrive. The technician was friendly and explained the entire process before he started working. He answered questions and gave us tips for things to do and/or avoid in the future. If we could give more than an "A" we would. Very friendly, helpful, and professional. We will definitely be using them in the future!
Description of Work: Located septic tank using a water probe, dug up both sides of the tank, removed covers, pumped out both compartments: liquids and solids. Rinsed off tank walls and backfill. Replaced the concrete lid on the tank.

Description of Work: We have a huge pine tree growing over our main sewer line. The tree roots crushed the main line finally completely blocking the line. Over the years we have priced many plumbing companys to put in a new line, 99% of them told us we had to have the tree cut down. This tree is huge, shades most of our house in summer, and it's beautiful. For close to 20 years we have babied the sewer line to keep the tree as long as possible. Last week the line blocked and we had no choice but to put in a new line. I called several plummers, and all but 2 insisted we cut down the tree before they would even give us a estimate. Hi Tech Rooter and Plumbing was one of the 2 that would come out and give me an estimate. I got an estimate for 2 options AND both would save the tree! The other company that came out finally sent me an estimate 2 days later (2 more days we would not be able to flush our toilets, take showers, etc.) and the estimate they sent was for 1 way and would cost over $1,000.00 more then Hi Tech Rooter and Plumbing! The work was started the next day, imeditly we could use the toilet and shower. They worked for 3 days trying to run the less expensive route, but the damage was to much. But instead of putting in the longer, more expensive route, they found a way to run the new pipe next to the old charging us only $600.00 more, and finishing 1 day earlier then expected. Still much less the the other company! Hi Tech Rooter and Plumbing is now our only plumber and will be who we use in the near future to re-pipe our whole house. I strongly recommend Hi Tech Rooter and Plumbing!
