Made an appointment for a repairman to come to the house 2 days from my phone request. Chris arrived within the time frame quoted. The problem was due to one of the counter weights starting to disintegrate but didn't need immediate replacement so he gave me a quote for when I decide to have it replaced. He did notice a gas smell coming from my dryer and there was a leak at the gas valve. He had the part on his truck and was able to replace it.

Their "showroom" is also their warehouse and repair shop. So despite how that sounds, you get to see repairs in progress on the other brands. Just looking at the exposed guts convinced us we were better off with the simpler (and steel parts) of the Speed Queen. Back to the Winklers. The younger brother handled the sales process quickly and simply. He turned to a wall calendar where the install/repair jobs were penciled in, and we found a delivery slot within 2 days. The older brother arrived on time, with all the necessary parts and tools (not that there was many). He had the dead machine out of there in under 10 minutes and the new one in place shortly after that. The whole install, hookup, testing (twice!), and sign off was done in less than one hour. We have been using this monthly (there is a drought here) for more than a year and everything is still solid. Nothing has shown up with the installation.

But since it is also their service shop, we also got to see which models were in for repair and why. The younger brother is not a salesman, so we felt like we got the straight scoop on the models they carried, of which the SQ was just one. We decided on the model, and then asked about the interior machining oil issue that is so prevalent on the web reviews. He explained that it was a failure in the manufacturing process and was addressed by the end of the 2010 model. Ours arrived and was squeaky clean inside. The older brother promptly arrived Friday morning to deliver our unit, installed it, leveled it, checked all the water and drainage connections, and hauled away our old clunker - all well within the quoted time of 2 hours. In fact, my mom slept through the whole installation process, it was so fast.

I had told them that it bangs and moves around in the space alotted. He came to repair it but did not fix it. I have called mulitple times with no reponse. I called about a month ago and told him it was acting up. He told me I was filling it too high and was not filling it with like type clothing. He didn't address the fact that his work wasn't correct but pushed it onto me as if it was my fault.

I called yesterday to get an estimate for fixing my washing machine. I called around 9:00 in the morning and got a voice message stating that they were attending other costumers, to leave name and number (the usual). I left my name and number twice in the message, just to be sure it was clear. No one called me back. I'm giving a and quot;Cand quot; just to fair and give them the benefit of the doubt. I just don't think is professional not to return a client's call within 24hrs. By the way, obviously I hire another company for the job.

Chris arrived on time and was knowledgeable and courteous. I was lucky in that the problem was able to be resolved in about an hour. Price was reasonable and consistent with other local appliance repair companies. Would definitely do business with again. The only downside is that it took about a week to get an appointment - but to me that's the up side of having a good business that people want to use, to be in such demand.

He found the problem and fixed it very quickly. Price was reasonable considering that it would of taken me a few hours to diagnose and repair. I'd use them again.

They were within the two hour window. I told him what I thought was wrong, but that didn't matter. He took the entire oven apart only to find the same thing. He didn't have the part to fix it. He told me he woul be back at a certain time, and he was. He installed the new part and had to turn the power off. When he turned it back on, he checked everything in the house to make sure other appliances were running and everything was working. I was very punctual and prompt.

Provided wonderful information by phone before possible repair. Referred me to great new appliance providers.

My GE side-by-side suddenly lost it's ability to stay cold. (read: PANIC - wasted food!). Of course it's Saturday, and I was uneasy about finding someone who could come in on the weekend. I called WInklers Refrigeration and Appliance and spoke to a LIVE person (the owner, Larry) who told me that they were booked up for the day (it was almost 11am)... he proceeded to ask me a couple of technical questions - also my location - and then told me that he could and would pull a man off a job and send him over to me! (When I inquired about their previous commitment, I was told the other job was at a vacant dwelling whose work could wait until Monday - yay for me!) Chris (owner's son) arrived just 25 minutes later and he got right down to work. Found and replaced the defrost/heating coil unit (and showed me the broken part) and had everything running again in under 45 minutes (maybe an hour, tops). Conscientious about cleaning up after himself, too - always a big plus! Not so sure about their pricing, and frankly I have NEVER had to call an appliance repair person for anything (how's THAT for luck?!) but for me and my predicament, I was very happy and satisfied with how Winkler's handled everything from the word go. I would definitely recommend them (I just did!).
