Ventura Stone

I’m a scientist, so I expect a fairly high level of accuracy and precision from contractors who work on my home. I started researching materials and contractors a year before beginning the renovation of a kitchen and two bathrooms. Roberto was very helpful and patient to answer all of my questions during that time. I chose Cambria Notting Hill quartz for the countertops. The kitchen was challenging; a structural beam ran through one set of cabinets which necessitated a 127 inch long slab of countertop to be fitted around it. Ivan precisely measured the project. I appreciated the opportunity to work with Mick to approve the layout of the design so the dark veining against the white background was used to my satisfaction. Mauricio and his crew did a masterful installation. They precisely notched and slipped the piece in around the beam thus avoiding a large seam at that juncture. The other pieces of countertop were also fabricated and installed beautifully. I would recommend Ventura Stone to anyone who is seeking a professional experience with their countertop projects.

Ventura stone is simply the best. Mick was super informative and knowledgeable. He paid attention to details that I didn’t know where even in play. The installers were amazing and were able to solve problems that arose with their professional experience. If you are looking for professional countertop sales and installation I recommend checking them out.

I had a fantastic experience with Ventura Stone. TLDR: They offer very straightforward pricing with their one or two slab specials. They work with you and explain things well, I had specific desires for seam placement which required a crane lift and they were very accommodating to get me exactly what I wanted at a very good price ($7,099 for up to 65sf at the time I purchased). I renovated my entire kitchen and this was the only portion of my project that I didn't do myself. I visited or got quotes from multiple competitors (Pacific, Coastal, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. as well as buy slabs from X and have Y do the fabrication). HD was the cheapest but their fabricator (BlockTops) insisted on excessive seams and their customer service team couldn't explain why and wouldn't accommodate my requests to remove them. Local shops charged too much ($10k+) and getting quotes seemed more complex than it needed to be just to get a quick price for comparison. I visited Ventura Stone thinking that their Silestone specials were limited to only a few choices (Calacuta/Gold), but they were able to provide me the exact slab I wanted (Ethereal Glow, the most expensive tier at Lowes) under their tier 2 special pricing. I asked up front if seams could be limited and they agreed with my desired layout. Everything went smoothly from measurement, to templating to install. The cherry on top was that during the install, the installer asked why I didn't get a quartz windowsill above my sink. I told him I didn't know it was an option. He called Mick, who said that they could do it at no extra charge. The next week they came out again and installed a new sill and addressed a few other minor concerns I had. Like I mentioned, I did a ton of research and went to a lot of different countertop shops. Everything about Ventura Stone felt right from the moment I stepped in. The whole process was smooth, easy, and well communicated up front. They really treat their customers well and I would highly recommend them.

It couldn't have gone better or smother! Mick and his staff are extremely professional and they did an outstanding job! The granite is beautiful and the installation was done quickly and efficiently.

They quoted doing some new counter tops in the kitchen for us. I don't know if we are going to do it at this time. We have not proceeded with it yet. We are going to get some other quotes as well. They gave us an estimate of around $8000. They had an ad out that was indicated that it could be under $4000. We have a lot of counter top, a lot of counter area. We knew we probably wouldn't get it for that price, but when it was double their introductory price then we were not so sure we were going to do that. We talked to one other outlet and it was going to be a couple thousand more than that. It was probably a fair price but more than what we want to spend right now. I don't see anything wrong with what they did. They have a good selection of material. They offered all the services, all of the stone and granite type services. I think they are probably a top notch company. The best I have got right now is Venture Tile and Stone but that is more money than we want to spend right now. If we have it done they are most likely going to do it. But until we get another good quote were not going to go ahead, even then.

Excellent! The granite was ready for the projected install date on time. Installers were on time, very professional. They were careful not to damage floors, walls, etc. They left no mess to be cleaned up.

It was excellent! They really do nice, amazing work. They came out, they measured, and they kept in touch with me. It was a good experience. The materials that I used were probably kind of high end, but I think the price was good because I had another product before and I would say that this is much better than the previous granite. There were a couple of instances where it took time for somebody to get back to me.

Aside from our paperwork going missing for a few days (which set us back by a week), everything was great. The installers were fantastic -- on a pre-visit to take the final measurements, the installer recommended that we put another 3/4" piece of plywood on top of our existing plywood just to raise the counter a bit and have more space between the dishwasher and the counter. This proved to be an excellent suggestion! The three installers were courteous and very clean! The did a great job on the undermount cast-iron sink. I will definitely use this company again when I redo the counters in the bathrooms!

They are expensive, but very good. It is very difficult to get them come out, but they did a great job. They were neat. I would use them again in the future.

They were just fine, not great. The guys that did the installation weren't too bright. I had to get the owner involved for areas that were not good enough. He did come out once or twice and he agreed with me that everything needed to be fixed right. The owner was great and very professional but the installers were not good.

Ed and his crew arrived on time and ready to work. Very professional crew and had lots of knowledge of how to work with granite in every aspect. After completion of work the crew cleaned up everything as nothing had ever happen. Very happy with there work attendance and work ethic. My wife and I would recommend them to anyone who need granite work done to their home.

We went to the store on Colt St (not Cold St) in Ventura. Looking through the stone remnants, we found two that we liked. One was a black marble with gold flecks and the 2nd was an orange/red fabricated stone. The company came out an took the measurements, fabricated the stone and installed it quite quickly after our purchase. The black stone showed a flaw at the seam line but they quickly sent a repairman out, who spent a considerable amount of time buffing it until he and I though it was right. I would definitely use them again.

After giving the go ahead and providing the downpayment $4000 they kept postponing installation. Then they came late and worked late causing damage to newly stained cabinets and sloppy caulking. They created a significant problem by instaiing double 3/4 inch plywood which created an unstained 3/4 inch gap. Mick the manager said that they would provide a solution. After payment Mick stated not our job, abandoning his word. They trimmed the mirrors in the baths to fit over the new granite back splashes. They forgot one and said they would take care of it. After payment they said that is not our job. They borrowed and removed a family memento and when Mick was called stated that they would return it. Mick then stated that it was left on the porch a week after completion which was a blatant lie. Ventura Stone has a long standing ad stating granite for a low price. When one reviews the stone connected to the ad one realizes the stone available at that price is is sparse and largely undesirable. In sum, run from Ventura Stone . There are better people to deal with without headaches.

There were no problems. We found the granite slab in another company and they were over and picked it up and manufactured it. No hassles whatsoever even if we did not buy it from them. When it came time to install it, they put paper carpet throughout the house to trap any dust or dirt through the house. The job was done quickly and on the scheduled time. We are completely satisfied with the work.

I liked their service. They were really good. They cleaned up after themselves everyday. They had a problem with the one piece. The one piece was big and I met the guy at the door. He said never mind it is junk. I go ok but you haven't even seen it. He said but I just listened to the way my tried to fix something and it is junk. So he came in and looked at it. He just called his store. He had like six or eight sheets of marble. They brought another one out in a couple of days and finished installing it. They did a great job. I am really happy with what they did.

Mick came out within a 24 hour notice of when the vanity was installed to take exact measurements for fabrication. Within 4 days, his intallation crew delivered and installed the countertop and sinks. They carefully measured to ensure perfect fit and were very precise about the drilling the holes for the faucets. I was happy with both the rapid service and the quality of the work and material as well as the price.
