TriCounty Aire & Fireplaces

After moving into our home, we were in desperate need of a new HVAC system. We found TriCounty Aire at the home show in Ventura. We met Shanna the owner and she was awesome and down to earth. She scheduled us at the home show to have Dan come out the very next day. Dan came over and he built us a quote for a system that would save us money in the long run. We wanted a ductless AC system in the office since it was separate from the house and a split system that ran independently for the rest of the house. We only wanted to cool the areas in our home that needed cooling. If our kids weren't home, it would only cool the living room, then only the master bedroom. I wanted a variable system that was quiet and saved money.Dan made it happen by bidding us a system made by Trane and Fujitsu along with a zone system. The price was affordable and thousands of dollars less than all the other bids we obtained from competitors, My husband and I strongly recommend TriCounty Aire and will continue to use them for our future service needs.

I contacted at least 6 different companies, most of which were referred to me by friends and family , but none of them could match the kind of service these guys at TriCounty Aire did for us. I had the HVAC system and ducting replaced for my home and these guys were not only reasonable with their price, but have also gone out of their way to accommodate my requests. They were able to help me get installed quickly so that my family didn't swelter in the summer heat. TriCounty Aire handled everything professionally, their technicians and installers are all experts. They ran new lines to my attic and took care of all the city permits. The manager, Britny even ensured that we had the A/C in time for my daughter's baptism! The owner Shanna called us during the installation and supervised everything. This company cares about their customers - quite rare these days as most are just out to make money. I can't rave enough about this company as they really are a gem in Conejo Valley and I intend to have them as my AC company for many years to come.

I have used Valley Aire for many years for heating and air conditioning installations as well as maintenance. As an out of town landlord, I need to be sure those expensive Heating/AC units are functioning well and the filters changed, as I cannot rely on the tenants to do this. Valley Aire will call the tenants for me and set up the appointments, so this is one less thing I have to take care of. The prices are fair and they have extended discounts to me for ongoing services. I feel I have avoided costly breakdowns over the years by using their maintenance programs.

The senior installer and assistant did a superb job of removing the old equipment and installing the new equipment. This included building the connection boxes for the two new systems in the attic that interface to the existing ducting. We were very satisfied with the final professional appearance and performance of the two systems. During the installation testing, we discovered that one of the thermostats was defective. The provider immediately replaced the defective thermostat with a new one. A few weeks after the initial installation, we noticed two problems. From the attic, when we were upstairs standing beneath one of the furnaces, we would sometimes hear and fell a noisy vibration when the upstairs heating system was running. The installer quickly returned to secure metal straps between the upstairs furnace and the wood beams in our attic. Problem #1 solved. The second problem was a bit tricky because it only happened once in about 10 times when the larger furnace was running. We would hear a very high frequency sound. The provider sent a technician out but we could not reproduce the problem, so the technician suggested that we schedule a gas company technician to come out, again no luck. We then called the gas company and spoke with a supervisor. She suggested that the high frequency sound can happen if the gas supply line [short flexible metal hose] is not a large enough in diameter to service the gas supply demand of the furnace. We advised the provider of this information and the original installers returned and replaced the short metal gas supply line with a larger diameter supply line. Problem #2 solved. Since then, we have no further problems.

What can I say. They were great, from the first contact to the finished product. I reached out to Dan for an inspection of an AC unit for a home we were thinking of buying. He came right over and inspected the system and gave us an honest answer. We ended up buying the home and had his team replaced the entire heating and cooling system. I was on a tight schedule and TriCounty Aire was able to schedule around it. The day of the install arrived and his team was on time if not a little early. Extremely rare with a lot of companies. Alfonso did an excellent job. Extremely professional and honest. They cleaned up the entire mess from the install. I couldn't even tell they were here. They also kept me informed throughout the day. I will not go anywhere else for all my heating and cooling needs. Great guys, great office staff and overall a great company.

hymie and his two assistants were always on time and friendly to my dogs.they always left the job each night clean and tidy. the job was well done and they explained how to work everything. it was a pleasant three days.

We did not like having to air condition the whole house to get our bedroom cool enough in the summer. The existing unit has a leak where the ducting connects to the furnace portion. There is no access to fix that. It was very costly to air condition the whole house just to get the bedroom cool for sleeping. Tri-County provided experienced and knowledgeable people to estimate the project and to find the best-value solution. One company asked what others had provided as options as they could not come up with a solution. All of the work by Tri-County was performed with highly-knowledgeable people, who kept things clean. The work looks great and has saved us a lot of money in heating and air conditioning costs. To this day Tri-County provides periodic maintenance with very pleasant, experienced personnel. I highly recommend them for any work you need performed.

My heat pump was making straining noises, so I wanted them to check for problems. The technian came the next day at the scheduled time and gave me options. I chose to replace the motor for the fan since it clearly was the issue. They came back the next day with the part and did not charge me for the intial visit. The problem is corrected, they are very professional and puntual.my unit got a second lease on life.

Our air conditioning system wasn't working properly - it might come on for a moment or two, then stop, so our house wasn't getting cooled. We called and a technician came out that afternoon. Wires had apparently been damaged by rodents, so a complete rewire from the furnace/fan in the garage to the ac unit outside had to be completed. A different technician came out the next day to complete the re-wiring. The unit was working again. I had to ask the 2nd technician to please check that the system was indeed cooling, which at first he was reluctant to do (because it wasn't on his work orders). Fortunately, he did come in, and even checked the ducting which he'd noticed was coming apart when doing the re-wire job. He obtained an estimate for the ducting replacement, but we have yet to decide if we can shell out another $2000-2400 right now. One small issue: Tri-County no longer exists, really. It was purchased by Valley Aire (last year?) and they maintained both company identities for a while, but are now switching over to Valley Aire completely. Not that it would have made much of a difference to me, but it would have been nice for that information to be revealed up front.

Their office help are very nice on the phone,but their salesman did not inspire confidence. He didn't even arrive with a small ladder to check in the attic on the heater and vents, etc. I had to go to another location and get one for him or he wouldn't have given me an estimate. He faxed an estimate with all sorts of options, but didn't explain any of it. I had to call and ask questions and he had to call me back. I decided to use another company for the job instead and was very pleased with their work.

THEY WERE SO PROFESSIONAL. THEY TREATED ME LIKE A HUMAN BEING, NOT JUST BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO PAY THEM. I FELT THEY WERE HONEST. THEY DIDN'T TRY TO LOW BALL THE PRICE AND COME UP LATER. THE QUALITY OF THE WORKMANSHIP IS SOMETHING TO BE ADMIRED. WHEN I CALLED THEM, THEY CAME OUT QUICKLY.

TRI-COUNTY WAS JUST OKAY TO DEAL WITH. THERE SEEMED TO BE SOME EXTRA COSTS ALONG THE WAY. I DON'T LIKE SURPRISES, ESPECIALLY WHEN I ASK FOR THE FULL PRICE FOR EVERY THING.
