Please see letter to Mike below. Good evening Mike. Just so I'm clear, I will never recommend your services to anyone else. I wish I could give 0 stars, but that isn’t an option. You inspected our home and did not do a very thorough job by any stretch of the imagination. Because your inspection stated we had a working air conditioner and heater, our insurance would cover the fact that it did not work. The only rooms with working heating and air were one bedroom, the bathroom, and the kitchen. None of the other rooms or other parts of the house worked. Had you gone up and looked at the ducts in the attic you should have been able to figure that out. I'm not even a home inspector and it took me about 10 minutes to realize why we didn't have heating and air in the rooms. You also stated the heating system was only a few years old and was in great condition. FYI, the system was installed in 1994 and there was a tag on it showing that. When we went to get quotes for repair, all 4 companies showed me the tag for proof of the age. In addition, the air conditioner was in a non-permitted location less than 4 feet from the house and neighbors. Again, looking up the requirements online only took me about 5 minutes. It cost us about 25k to replace the heating system and move the air conditioner. In addition, you stated every window in the house had screens on them. The only window with a screen, was the upstairs bathroom. The dish washer didn't even work and if it weren't for our realtor, we probably would have had to pay to have that fixed as well. I will say one thing good about your services. You were fast about doing the inspection. Of course, that may have something to do with doing a half-*** job.
