Ironically, I was just about to cancel my Angies List subscription because I thought I didn't use it, lol. Woke up to a pipe spraying water under the house this am. I found this plumber here on the list and saw good reviews. They were nice and worked me in, sending someone immediately. Bill was very nice and professional. He fixed the leaky pipe so quickly that he went on to fix a leaky faucet for just parts. How often do you get more service than you are expecting? Made my day! :) So nice to find a company that does it right. I will only call this company in the future, and suggest you do the same. This is the plumbing company you are looking for, have no doubt!

I talked to a very nice lady named Jennifer:not an annoying answering machine, to set the appointment. They were booked up until the next afternoon. Don Willis is the lead plumber-he promptly came at the right time. He did the work our last plumber had not done properly. He was very nice and professional. He drained the plumbing numerous times and got the paper and such the other plumber left in the drains. Don also took out the filters from outside our house, that were keeping our water pressure from flowing properly. I would not hesitate to call this company again. I feel I can really trust that they will do the work well. I also think for what he did, the price was very reasonable. P.S. He also cleaned the bathtub of the gunk that was in it! Unheard of for a plumber not to make a mess or clean up after themselves. Thank you Jennifer and Don for making this a most pleasant experience for us.

Rob arrived within two hours after emergency call on 4th of July holiday, took about 45-50 minutes to clean out a bad, accumulated sewer main line plug. House has cast iron sewer lines. Rob was professional, helpful and prompt, especially for a holiday. Very please with the Angie's Lis discount and senior discount.

When I called Mike Kimble Plumbing, the person said they were very busy and couldn't come out until Friday, three days away. I said it was not an emergency and made the appointment. The plumber came on time and had the drain fixed in less than an hour. When I asked how much did we owe him, he said the office would bill me. The bill came a week later and was a little more than I expected, but, I didn't think it was outrageous.
Description of Work: Our bathtub was draining very slowly necessitating us standing in about 2" water when taking a shower. The plumber removed a wad of hair from the drain and that did the trick.

Since I have used them before, I dropped off the keys to allow them to enter while I was at work. They called me when they had finished and gave me instructions on maintaining the new sink. The site was in spotless condition. The sink looks beautiful and the installation was done very well. Recently, I used Mike Kimble Plumbing to install a faucet in my remodeled kitchen. At that time, they also reconnected the dishwasher and garbage disposal. Again, they did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I had a vessel sink and faucet installed in my guest bathroom. This is the third time I have used Mike Kimble Plumbing since I bought this condominium in September. Each time the service was excellent and the workmanship exceeded my expectations. Everyone that I dealt with from the receptionist to the plumbers have been extremely courteous and accommodating.

They were quick to respond to my call and arrived within 30 minutes of my call. Changed out the flex line and cleaned everything up. ||Very professional, I would use them again if I had a plumbing issue that I couldn't tackle myself. I gave a C on price but all plumbers charge an arm and a leg so they were no more expensive than most.

I have worked with Kimble plumbing for over 20 years with good results, but my last two experiences were not good. In 2/2012 a new water heater was installed as the result of a failed older water heater. This water heater was not installed to code, and when I asked them to come back to bring the installation up to code they told me I had to pay for it. We discussed this for a bit and finally agreed to split the up-to-code repairs. I didn't think I should have to pay anything, but my house was being sold and it needed to be brought to code. In August 2013, I asked for someone to come to put in a gas line for my wood burning fire place to convert it to gas burning/ceramic logs. I waited 1-1/2 weeks for an appointment because it wasn't an emergency. Mike told me someone would be out first call on that date. When no one showed up by 9:00. I called, and I was not on the schedule for the day, and Mike wasn't in. I explained that I had taken a day off work and they needed to come, someone finally arrived around 11:30. When I made the appointment I explained that the gas line would probably have to be run in the crawl space under the house. The plumber who arrived was physically too large to fit through the crawl space and he called another plumber. The second plumber arrived about 1:00 and put the line in. The first plumber didn't leave, but stayed and didn't do much for the rest of the day but stare at the fireplace. I was told by the second plumber that it would be necessary to have access behind the face of the fireplace, I agreed to an entry through the wooden side of the fireplace. They insisted that they needed to go through the brick face of the fireplace instead and I agreed when I was told that Kimble Plumbing would have someone come out to repair the face of my fireplace. The quote was "we will make it look all nice again." The installation took a full day's time spread over two days and I was charged for the time that both plumbers spent on site, though one didn't do much if anything. I called to speak to Mike to make arrangements for the fireplace face to be repaired and Mike told me about a man he would have the man call me "who does small patch jobs for US". Two days later I called because the person hadn't called. I called the office and was given the man's name and made arrangements for him to come out. He came and explained it would take him a full day's work to fix my fireplace face. He wanted a deposit and I told him that Kimble was paying for his work. He said he would talk to Mike. He subsequently called back and said that Mike said that I would need to pay for the repairs to the face of my fireplace! Enough is enough! I have never written a negative review before, but I have now had it.

I called on Monday at 1:45PM. The person who answered was covering for the receptionist who was on a lunch break. He seemed a little confused and was trying to juggle several calls at once. After putting me on hold several times we were able to set up an appointment for the following Wednesday morning between 8:00 & 9:00.I called again on Tuesday to make sure that the appointment was scheduled. The receptionist was friendly and was able to confirm my appointment first thing on Wednesday.I received a call at 8:00 on Wednesday and the woman asked if she could send the plumber out now, and about 20 minutes later Don arrived. He was personable and he set about installing the valve I wanted replaced. The space he had to work in was very tight, but he said that in spite of some challenges he'd get it installed. He was able to finish the installation in about 3 1/2 hours. I was very happy with his work and can do attitude. A couple of days later I received the bill. There is always the fantasy if you don't know the price upfront, of what it will be. as I didn't ask beforehand. My fantasy was between $60 and $100 per hour. They charged $96.00 + parts. I checked average plumber prices in California and they ran between $50 and $167 per hour. It looked like the $96 was about average for a good plumber.
Description of Work: My wife had purchased a Delta Shower faucet to replace the one in her shower. I chiseled out around the front and seeing that I couldn't get enough of an opening in the shower, I cut a panel out behind the shower to gain access. My original intention was to install the faucet myself. After really looking at the tight space I had to work in, I figured if I was sweat fitting joints I would probably burn down the house. So I decided to get a professional. After seeing what he had to do to do the job I knew I'd made the right decision.

Great experience and he is now my # 1 plumber. Very professional. Willing to show what is wrong and explain what it would take to fix. I really thought the cost would be much higher and I would have paid it for the professional work. But it turned out the cost was lower than I expected. He came very well prepared, including a simple approach to stop dirty water running everywhere, and completely cleaned up.
Description of Work: While it reads like a simple drain rooting-out effort, the pipes are in a 40-yr old home with some serious rusting inside the original galvanized pipes. Mr. Kimble came on-time with a helper and worked the problems on three different drains PLUS rooting out the main drain almost to the street (basically, as far as the rooting line was long).

I called and left a message on a Saturday, and someone called back within an hour for the details. We made an appointment for Monday morning, and Mr. Kimble himself showed up to evaluate our needs. Within only a few hours, two workers had installed a new water heater. Excellent installation, excellent clean up, and not a bad price for the water heater we decided to purchase. I will definitely call Mike Kimble again.

Plumbers from Mike Kimble arrived on the date and time scheduled. The work was performed in less than two hours and was of very high quality. The personnel performing the work were very thorough and did a good of cleaning up. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised when the final cost came in under the initial estimate. Overall, I was very pleased with the work performed and will definitely use Mike Kimble Plumbing in the future.
Description of Work: After reviewing plumbers on Angie's list, I called Mike Kimble to have a drain unplugged and get an estimate for replacing my water heater that was 10 years old. After reviewing the estimate for the water heater work, I scheduled both the drain and water heater work. Both jobs were started and completed on 10/3.

Needed a new toilet and found the angle stop starting to leak when I tried to turn the water off. Called Mike Kimble Plumbing because I had used them before and was happy with their work. Carl arrived within the time frame I was given and went right to work. He changed the angle stop and supply hose, then installed a new toilet. His work was neat and fast. Also asked him about a hot water heater valve that I thought might need to be replaced. He assured me there was nothing wrong with it and didn't need to be replaced.

I called the day after Thanksgiving. Mike promised someone would be out between 10 AM and 4 PM. Tom arrived after 12:00 and was finished and on his way by 2:30 PM. He repaired a link from my main water line replaced the plastic valve shut-off with a brass one. In addition he replaced another broken plastic shut-off valve with brass as well. I had paid more than twice this amount for just a main line leak repair with another company a few months prior, which took the other company three separate attempts to finally fix the problem. Mike Kimble Plumbing was responsive, quick, reasonably priced and got the job done right the first time! Mike Kimble Plumbing is my new Plumber.

We got 4 estimates and selected Mike Kimble Plumbing because he seemed to have the most reasonable, level headed approach to our needs, with a top quality product (did our research on-line). The staff was professional, courteous, and ceaned up after the job eas complete. They listened to our needs and didn't try to up-sell the job. We got a great product and great service, so we felt they get an "A" on all levels. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate calling them again for any plumbing need.
Description of Work: We had a 9 year old tank water heater that started leaking, and since it was located inside the house, we decided to up-grade tank-less system. After getting 4 bids we select Mike Kimble Plumbing. Everything went smoothly, installation was done in one day. After a small leak was noticed the next day, they returned immediately and quickly resolved the problem.

They were very prompt in getting a response. 45 minutes after I called someone showed up and went right to work. Replaced the flex pipe, vacuumed up the area and cleaned the area. Very happy with the work performed and will definitely use in the future. My only complaint would be the cost seemed a little expensive ($95.00 per hour) but again, my problem got fixed in a very timely manner and very professionally.

It feels like I have a new BFF ! Thank you Angie' s list----The technician came right on time, was respectful of my home as well as the quirkiness of our ranch's plumbing issues. He explained the visit-didn't promise to fix it saying he had worked on other brands of tankless heaters, not the one we have. Well, he was able to fix that water heater as well as unclog a bathroom drain. Hot water again-yeah! I felt helpless without it--laundry, bathing, animal care. Billing seemed very reasonable and was based on an hourly rate. An A+ for Mike Kimble Plumbing!! I am certain to use them in the future as we frequently have plumbing problems.
Description of Work: Came out the next morning to look at my tankless water heater that wasn't working. 2 other plumbers said on the phone they didn't know anything about tankless water heaters. The tech from Mike's plumbing was able to fix it as well as clean a slow-draining bathroom on the same visit. It feels like I have a new BFF ! Thank you Angie' s list--

I you don't mind being low-balled estimates by as much as 100%, take several visits to complete a job, be told falsehoods by rude individuals, and listen to bosses blame their employees - this is your plumber company!!
Description of Work: We asked for the leaks in our bathrooms to be fixed - they fixed the shower spouts but not the tub spouts - we had to call them to come back and finish the job. We had a new kitchen sink put in. The first time I turned it on it flooded under the sink, When the plumber returned he indicated it was my fault - even though I had done nothing but turn it on (the leak was in the pipes under the sink). Our water heater went out. The plumber told us it would be about $300 for the new unit. It was almost twice that. When we inquired, the man on the phone said it was a language problem, that the plumber who installed it could not speak English. However, it took three hours for the work and and I spoke with him most of the time. No language problem at all.

During our 30 years in business, we have always strived to satisfy our customers. We never like to hear that a customer is unsatisfied. We feel that there was a miscommunication between our on call / after hours technician and the customer in regards to the price. We do believe that the work we performed on a weekend was done at a fair and honest price. In regards to the tub spouts not being repaired on the first visit. Our response to the situation was to return and promptly make the repairs at no additional labor cost.

I have used Mike Kimble for a variety of plumbing issues of my new home in the last few years. They are prompt and courteous and I know what to expect to pay before any additional service is performed. They even saved me a visit by telling me how to fix my garbage disposal myself to avoid a home visit charge. I have no hesitation to recommend their services and trust their judgement.

I called and explained that I had a hot water pipe leaking. I was offered same day service but decided to wait and had him come the next day when I would be home. He showed up on time and assessed the issue. He didn't have the standard 1" connector that was required to fix the piping so he had to go back to get the part and unfortunately I was charged for that. Other than that, service was very good and very professional...and in a pinch I would no doubt call them again!
