+ 0 moreDave Sizemore and Alex Kytlica are masons of the highest quality. Their workmanship is dazzling. Dave and Alex showed up each day on time, worked tirelessly, and paid great attention to detail. They used their expert knowledge to lay a four inch foundation of gravel, evenly lay the sand layer, and place the pavers in a way that provided visual interest. Despite the fact that DRS Masonry was working on a fixed fee contract , they suggested using a diagonal rather than a rectangular pattern, which resulted in cutting many more bricks. We also wanted a french drain installed below the pavers and this was completed to our satisfaction. Not only did we hire excellent craftsman, but we were given outstanding design advice that enhanced the final outcome of the project. We feel extremely fortunate to have Dave and Alex on board to help us with a backyard project that will stand the test of time.
Description of Work: Dave Sizemore, of DRS Masonry, installed 650 square feet of Ackerstone pavers in the backyard. One part of the project was a patio with curved edges and a large curved step. The other part of the project involved 35 feet of pavers ending in a curved barbeque pad. The patio step, which leads to french doors, was bordered with Pennsylvania flagstone, at Dave's suggestion, that perfectly accented the pavers. Dave also suggested a Pennsylvania flagstone path to connect the two areas of pavers. The result is a very attractive hardscape that fits in perfectly with our landscape design.

+ 0 moreDRS is a great contractor, and his work has tremendously enhanced the value of my retirement estate. I know we will be able to entertain in our backyard year after year without any worries about the hard-scape looking tired or in need of repair. I would highly recommend DRS Masonry to anyone who wants a top notch, professional job.
Description of Work: Dave installed numerous small walls in my backyard, and completed a slumpstone perimeter wall as well. While he was performing this contract, he started a paver driveway for my residence. It was also completed on time, and to this day looks fantastic. I like the fact that DRS uses green service companies. His concrete pumper used bio-diesel exclusively in his equipment, and my son was fascinated with the design of the pumper truck. Once the walls and driveway were complete, Dave came back a few months later and did a beautiful patio and patio cover to complete the backyard.
