I will not claim that I have had a lot of experience dealing with a lot of drywall companies nor contractors for that matter. This much I will say though: I have had many business dealings in different fields and if there is one word that would describe my experience with Clark Drywall, that word would be "flawles." From the time that he came over and did an estimate, he was able to identify things that was missed by others. His attention to detail was impressive. On the scheduled day of the job, they started on time and finished much sooner than estimated. The job was excellent; as if nothing had happened.

From estimate to completion Matthew and his crew did an outstanding job. Arrived on time ( 7 am ) on a Thursday with a crew of seven, moved furniture, prepped the entire house and even ran the protective plastic outside and down the walkway. He brought all the right equipment to deal with vaulted (18 ft) ceilings. They completed the scraping, texturing and cleanup by 3:30 that afternoon. The only sign that they had been there was the lack of popcorn and moist ceilings which were left to dry from Thursday afternoon until Saturday morning at 7 am when Matthew returned with his painters. The paint crew laid down plastic and prepped the area in a similar manner to the scraping crew, they applied a coat of of KILZ like primer and a coat of Dunn Edwards Whisper White paint to the now dry ceiling. They cleaned up and put all my furniture back by 2:30. They even moved my 200 lb. exercise machine upstairs to it's new home. ( Don't tell them I told you that ! ) The products they used did not leave any noxious odor in their wake so I spent every night at home during the period the work was being completed. No overnight hotel stays! Matthew and his crew did such a great job that I have hired him to do some work at my studio facility in the media district in Glendale, CA. So far I am batting a thousand with the contractors I have hired from Angie's list referrals. This membership has paid for itself many times over. Matt was responsive and professional from the jump. He made an effort to consult and provide an estimate very quickly after my initial call. Whether through phone calls, emails or text messages he was quick to answer and was always cheerful and helpful. His business presence inspires confidence, and his business practices are in sync with the impression he makes. His work crews are skilled, polite, and good-natured. Removing an acoustic ceiling is unspeakably messy but the workmen left no trace of the job inside or outside my home. The finished job makes me happy every time I look up at my flawless white ceilings.

They did a really good job. I actually called them back for a second job because he was on time and was really clean. Drywall is a really dirty job and he was very clean. He did just what I asked him to do. I was happy to use him. He was a bit expensive, he wasn't the cheapest estimate I've had.

Matt and his team were extremely considerate and did a wonderful job. They arrived on time and carried out the job in an efficient and professional manner. Matt even went to the trouble of having his guys come back the next day to take care of something else for me. He is definitely a "customer comes first" kind of guy.

Good quality work all around, kept the work area very clean, and completed the work at a fair price. Employees are very attentive and responsive.

I turned my garage into an office. My carpenter didn't feel confident putting in the drywall ceiling. I called Matt, (I found his company on Angie's List) we agreed to a price. Matt and his team came the following week, on time, exactly as agreed. Matt's workers were ultra neat and very polite. The job took one and one-half days. Matt came several times to oversee the work. The ceiling is beautiful. I couldn't be happier.

They worked long and hard at it. In the end the result was beautiful. Can't tell where the holes were in the ceiling and walls. I would use them again for sure.

Of all the trades to work on our home, they were the most careful in how they performed their work. They also work well with other contractors when working concurrently on the job-site. Matt and crew arrived at 7 am right on time. Unbelievably they had the whole house done by 4:30 the same day! The end result is a great, smooth ceiling and no mess! I don't know why we waited all these years to have it done! Looks amazing

Fantastic. Matt has an exceptional team of men and managed the job, along with his assistant in such a professional manner. He has hand picked his guys and has phases done according to the guys' expertise. I don't write many reviews but this is truly one of the best oiled machines I've ever seen. I own my own business so when I see a company that runs the way I run mine where the customer comes first I have to recognize them and this company is really exceptional. They made suggestions to save us money because they knew we were working with a limited budget and the job came out beautiful. We were renovating an old mobile home and it looks fantastic. If you're looking for a superior company, with talent, this is the company. I recently used them also on a condo I had damaged drywall in and they came and knocked it out in a day. Just amazing.

I contacted Matt Clark from Clark Drywall early in the morning and he was able to come to the property the same day. He gave me an estimate that was considerably lower than a previous estimate I had received, and was able to commit to starting the job very soon, which worked for me with a tight move-in schedule. They did not require a deposit of any kind and started work on-time. They were able to correct a few minor framing issues that had been exposed by the mold remediation as well, which was a big relief and made the end-product really great. Matt was constantly updating me on the status. They had hoped to finish in just 3 days, but their crews had some conflicting jobs and Matt was very clear about the delays, which were acceptable and still well within the deadline I had given them. Matt even offered some helpful advice on some work I had decided to do myself to save some money. Clark Drywall is a real pleasure to work with!

Came when promised. Work was finished as promised and clean up was done. Went really smoothly.

I made an appointment for an estimate with Matt Clark, the owner of the business. He showed up along with another associate, at the agreed upon time (actually a few minutes early), and did a thorough analysis of what it would take to drywall, insulate, create a ceiling for my garage and a few other enhancements I had requested. They carefully measured the dimensions and were very up front about the types of material that would be needed, the time it would take, and the total cost. Their professionalism was impeccable, yet they were approachable and extremely helpful in making recommendations. I was given a written estimate within a few days. Over the course of the following week, I decided to make some reductions to my original plan for budgetary reasons. I should add at this point that contractors frequently lose untold hours driving all over creation giving bids to unserious potential clients and in the process also incur huge, uncompensated fuel costs. It goes with the territory, but it is a perspective that is never considered by the other side. The reason I mention this is because when I communicated my desire for a new, pared down estimate to Matt, there was no problem, no drama, no attitude. He was more than happy to come out again and re-bid the job. Matt's attitude, professionalism, courtesy and experience were enough to convince me. When the agreed upon date arrived, the crew showed up on time and began to work their magic. They transformed a bare bones garage built in 1953 into a near palace for my car and tools. The garage interior not only looks better than any other garage on my street, it looks better than any room in my house! (Thanks a lot, Matt). At any rate, I would grade Clark Drywall as BEYOND the gold standard in that they exceeded not only my expectations, but they also exceeded the level of product they promised to deliver. (How often do you run into that?) My recommendation: hire them and enjoy the ride. You'll be glad you did.

Matt, (the owner), called me promptly after I left him a message. He was very courteous on the phone and worked with me on scheduling the estimate. He was very prompt for the appointment and very professional in describing the work that would need to be done to repair the hole in our drywall. His guys came out and did a perfect job. They were careful in not making a mess and cleaned up thoroughly after the work was complete. You can't even tell where the work was performed because it was such quality workmanship.

Matt came out to give an estimate on some drywall repair following a plumbing project that required some walls to be opened. He's a ways from where I live in Burbank, but despite the fires going on out near where he's based in Oxnard, he braved the traffic and came and gave me a very fair estimate. I didn't use Matt, but honestly, the only real factor that led me to go for another contractor, was how close by he was. I felt comfortable with Matt as well, and wouldn't have hesitated to use him.

g and clean-up.Mike knew what was wrong right from the start. Came back with his helper and did a great re-plastering job. Came back 2 days later and did the final sanding and clean up. the whole job was a pleasure.

Initial appointment was missed to due because workers were tied up on another job. When Matt - the company owner - found out the call and apologized profusely. He assured me that is not how his company does business and he would do whatever it took to make things right. Normally when workers miss an appointment I write that company off as one of the way too many flaky operators out there and move on. However, after talking to Matt, I was impressed and decided to give them another chance. Even the best companies can have an occasional glitch. They showed up promptly at the rescheduled time, patched and textured the wall, cleaned up, and made an appointment to return after the work dried to repaint and remount hardware. They showed up slightly early for the follow-up appointment and did an excellent job matching the paint. You would never know the wall has been patched. I am doing some remodeling at my office and will definitely be using Clark for the framing and drywall work. I recommend them highly.

Their service was excellent. The guy gave me a very good quote, but it is not within my budget so he lowered it. His work was fantastic because he negotiated with me. He did my whole house skim coating and drywall. He did it all in about three days. They cleaned up after themselves, which really surprised me. His service was just great. If you are not satisfied with the service, you can call him the next day. I did not have to call him at all, but he did call and followed me up to see if everything was fine.

Matt was very courteous on the phone. He came out promptly and did not hesitate to do the work for us even though it was a small job. He was neat, polite, did an excellent job.

I spoke with Matt about my acoustic ceiling removal. Although I caught him while he was traveling, he was very responsive and attentive. He knew I wanted to get it done ASAP and had sent out one of his guys to give me a quick estimate that Saturday (while he was out). I called him on Monday and confirmed I wanted to get it done. His team got to work on Tuesday morning (7:30am) and was done by Wednesday (3pm). Even though his business is based out of the Valley/Oxnard and I live in the SG Valley he was quick to the job and got it done flawlessly. He quoted me a fair, competitive price on the acoustic removal and he also removed some wallpaper from the wall for me. They also have this special texture for the ceilings that my fiance really liked. I've been told by most contractors that if I want the ceilings completely smooth it will cost me substantially more. Matt has a guy on his team that does this hand texture, which is the closest I've seen to smooth yet still considered textured. Overall, the ceilings look great and I'm happy with it. I would work with Matt again.

i removed the acoustic ceiling myself, under the acoustic was plaster that i wanted to be smoothed out for a nice finish..wayyy too much work for me to do myself, so i decided to hire someone to do the work. After calling a couple different people for estimates on a Saturday morning...i called Matt which is the owner, he came from Oxnard which is about an hour drive to my house just to give me an estimate on a Saturday morning..i thought that was Plus #1..he explained to me the process of the work he was going to perform. ex. how many coats, how they prep, estimated time of completion, and final product. also gave me tips on how to paint the ceiling for a nice painted finish. He started work at 7 am prompt and on time just as he said he would...him and his crew worked hard all day in 100 degree heat with no a/c in the house.. they smoothed out two layers in about 1000 sq ft of ceiling in one day...they let it cure for a complete day and returned Wednesday morning at 7 am as he said he would to apply another thin finish coat and sand to a smooth...smooth finish..The final product looked GREAT! just as i was hoping it would turn out. I would definitely recommend Matt and his company to anyone that needs drywall repair.. PRICE was fair.
