.At first I felt confident with John. He had done a small bathroom for me and it was fine. It ran over budget but I was okay with that. Then he began this huge project for me that cost around $100,000 and he was not listening to me. He procrastinated and put things off; he would seem to be too busy with other projects but charged me for overseeing his sub-contractors but was not there or did not always oversee the final product. When he was done and I had issues with the pavers, gate and the walkway after a short period of time, I texted, emailed and called him numerous times to have him come and fix his work. It was hard to get him to come back. He put me off. He was rude and condensending. When he did return he fixed the gate but nothing else it caused the gate to not close properely. I have dogs that can get out so I called him to fix it but he did not answer my calls, so I sent pictures. He said he'd come by after a month of me bugging him. However, he has NEVER come by or called. His walkway was so badly constructed it is cracked and they cemented a portion of the flagstone over the top of the water main so the water department cannot remove it. I have tried everything to get him to return and take care of these issues but he ignores me. Now I must have another contractor come out and repair his work. I had a gate company come out yesterday and fix his repair from October and it cost me $125.00. I would not recommend John Clark to anyone. He does not guarantee his work, his work is not thorough and professional, and he is rude and insulting to other contractors that have been at my property when John is here, and he is especially rude to women.
