BOYD & ASSOCIATES

I was a loyal customer for 6 years and had to cancel because we were moving. I spoke to a representative on the phone and also sent in a written cancellation note with my final payment for year end 2014. I moved and never heard from them and now in July 2016 I received a letter from their collection agency saying I owe them $436.07 or they were going to ruin my credit if I don't pay for the service that I cancelled in 2014 for a house I didn't live in. I called the company and they must have this happen a lot because the girl in accounts receivable read a statement about they have fine print that renews your contract automatically and even though I cancelled in October 2014 I still owe them most of an entire year because I cancelled one month too late. She actually was laughing and thought it was funny. I would not recommend them and you should look at their website and you will see this is a common complaint for them. You should be able to cancel a contract and not be liable for services for an entire year that you don't use if you have to move or you don't like the company. This doesn't even seem legal. I would think twice about recommending them with your company as the saying goes....If you sleep with dogs you end up with fleas! I filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs for Boyd & Associates.

Positive experience, no hard sale type of behavior. I continue to be satisfied with Boyd as both an installer and monitoring service.

I CALLED THEM TO DISCONNECT THE ALARM FROM THE WINDOWS AND THEY CAME AND DID IT. THEY CAME BACK WHEN IT NEEDED TO BE RECONNECTED AND THEY DID JUST FINE. THAT'S THE WHOLE DEAL.
