 + 0 moreKnowledgeable and patient advice from Ron. Installers seemed professional, but apparently they improperly installed the pads and/or carpet on our stairs. It started wearing much more quickly than it should have.. Ron came out and said the installers had not done the job correctly and that he would look into it. We were past the warranty period, and we never heard back. We are definitely dissatisfied with the lack of follow-up.
Description of Work: Replaced carpets in 5 rooms and stairways.

 + 0 moreMarbella was friendly and swift in finding styles I liked because she was a good listener. She discussed the pros and cons of different types of carpet based on my needs. It was an impressively swift process from my first foray into their showroom until the delivery of my rug. My rug required a cut-out on one of the corners to fit around a built-in cabinet and I provided the measurements and diagram instead of having them cut out to measure. The rug matched the measurements perfectly.

I was able to take samples home - and he was able to deliver the product on time. He was very courteous, professional and helpful. And when it came time to measure, Jaime came out to our home for that. He was great! Such an awesome young man? We were very pleased. The gentlemen that did the installation were skilled and efficient. For our carpet needs we would definitely choose Barry Carpet again!

 + 1 moreIt was a big job and took several days to install the workers were competent, accommodating, and polite. There were a couple of glitches that need to be dealt with and were handled entirely to my satisfaction. That's how I judge a company and Barry Carpet (Carpet, hardwood, and vinyl) did a great job, came back and took care of the two areas that needed additional service, and it turned out beautifully. The redoes were a combination of communication and special circumstances and were take care of at my convenience. I am very pleased with this company, and my consultant Marbella Fuentes.

 + 0 moreIt was a big project for us and we did a lot of research on carpet materials. We also shopped around extensively for carpet and got estimates from several vendors. Marbella at Barry Carpet provided advice and information that we appreciated. She was responsive from the beginning and saw the project through to the end. It wasn't a bargain but a fair price as we leaned in shopping around. It's been about 6 months and we're very happy with the result and we receive lots of compliments on the color choice.

 + -1 moreWe went to Barry carpet for our office.. They had a nice selection and great quality, however, we were looking for just a basic carpet for our office space. We ended up getting our carpet from Home Depot, while nothing fancy, we are very happy with quality, the free instillation, and price. Frankly, unless you are looking for high end carpet, I would definitely check out Home Depot.

 + 0 moreWe were hesitant to go through packing our "stuff" so kept postponing the installation. But with the Barry Carpet salesperson, Ron Roth, advising us, we finally did it and found that things went much more smoothly than we'd anticipated. The installers were very good. One of our larger closets had not been included in the estimate for ordering carpet, but luckily we were able to use the old carpet there. That was the only problem other than some damaged baseboards, presumably a normal outcome.
Description of Work: Advised on carpet purchase. Removed old carpet and installed new carpet in five rooms, stairs, and hallways.

Once we have settled on a product and padding and negotiated a price, everything went very smoothly. The workmen were very professional and resolved every Issue with the installation. From the customer service when I walked in the store, through the selection and pricing phase, then I didn't have to wait a long time for an installation date- where they showed up on time, installed without any drama, and removed the old carpet and then they left my house looking perfect. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

This was a large investment for me, and I felt totally comfortable throughout the process because of the attention and professionalism of the Sales Associate, Marbella Fuentes and her team of installers. The product was beautiful....just was I had envisioned. The budget was in line with other suppliers I reviewed before hiring Barry's Carpet. The installation was not a simple one due to unforseen problems in the underlying floor, but the installers handled it professionally and the final product was great. The installer's work was impeccable, and they cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished. I highly recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: I found Barry's Carpet through Angie's list. Their service at every level was superior. I need to select wood flooring and have it installed in a condo under real time pressure after the closing. Marbella Fuentes, the Sales Associate, was extremely helpful. Together, we reviewed many, many options. I took many samples to the condo and she came over and talked me through everything to consider before making a choice. She helped me tremendously. Once I selected the product, she arranged everything: she worked with my building manager to learn all the building regulations, hired her regular installers, ordered the product, delivered it on-time, and the installation began. The installation supervisor was excellent, as was his team. They encountered some unforseen problems in the underlying floor and were able to figure out what to do ...and do it...and still complete the project on time and on budget.They cleaned up thoroughly when they left. I checked in with Marbella each day and she knew what was happening at all times, which gave me a real level of comfort. I checked into the condo every day and saw that everything was proceeding well.

 + 0 morePerfect. There were no surprises. They said what they would do and did what they said. They showed up on time. They worked quickly, and there are no defects. Barry Carpet gave guidelines up front for what various kinds of carpet cost per yard. There are other carpet companies that do not talk price up front. That was one of the factors that made me more comfortable dealing with them -- that and the fact that I found them on Angies's List and they had an overall A rating. Now, I see why.
