Zodiac has always been excellent with customer service, installation, the quality of work and their professionalism. Everyone one from the office staff, to the installers, to the owners are very personable and professional. This work was done on time, for a very fair price. I did get competitive bids. I plan to use Zodiac for all my Heating & A/C service.

How did it go.... Well it's still going. Still not fixed.

It went excellent. They have been doing work for us for almost 8 years. I have not ever had a complaint.

The A/C unit never properly cooled the rooms in the addition. Addition was properly insulated, but they blamed 2 French doors facing the West as the reason why the rooms couldn't be cooled properly. They did try several things - they replaced the outside condenser with a larger one (3 ton instead of 2.5), added a duct run to the largest room and even tried a fan booster. They even capped off a vent to my workshop (which I really wanted). That didn't work either, Their final statement was "You can only expect to reduce the temperature to about 20 degrees below the current OUTSIDE temperature", so when it was 100 degrees outside, I should expect only to be able to cool the rooms to 80 degrees. I found out subsequently that was incorrect. The statement should have been "You can only expect to reduce the temperature to about 20 degrees below the current INSIDE temperature", so if the room is 88, I should be able to cool it to 76 easily. However, I could never cool the rooms to below 88 degrees. | |I worked around the problem by installing a standard 11000BTU window air conditioner in the large room (625 sq. ft.). By itself, the window A/C easily cooled the large room by itself without the central A/C on. | |A different A/C contractor a few years later inspected the inside A/C evaporator unit and said that the cooling coil was obviously too small. Even though they increased the outside condenser unit's capacity, the interior coil (and associated air circulation fan) was the problem. However, that unit is installed in the attic and so the labor involved in replacing it with a larger one was probably more than Zodiac wanted to give me, so they made up the excuse. | |Zodiac is a small company, but their workmanship is good. Just get a guarantee that if their work doesn't adequately cool and/or heat, they will replace WHATEVER equipment and/or ducting necessary to get it to work. |

It stopped cooling the house down after three years. They have come out twice and said that nothing was wrong with the unit. I would not recommend them to others.

There was a small problem and they exaggerated it. The high voltage capacitor was damaged and it needed to be replaced and they said they had to check everything as well. They were late to respond with the quote and I wasn’t happy with their prices. I ended up calling a different company and found that they were less than half the price. I was surprised that their quote was so expensive. My intentions are not at all to damage the companies reputation, but to let them be aware of the this issue.

What I liked the most was their ability to interact with another worker that was here at the same time in a way that was diplomatic. They were very timely, personable and pleasant. It went wonderfully.

Do choose Zodiac for installing your new HVAC. They are professionals.

We bought our house two years ago and needed to remove the existing furnace that looked like it was the original. An acquaintance recommended Zodiac to us so we called them and we thought that their prices were competitive. They had a subcontractor of their choice come out and remove the old duct work that had asbestos, installed new furnace and AC. They put new registers and vents as well. In the process of installing the new air ducts they punctured a hole in our ceiling which at the time, had the cottage cheese ceiling. The guys didn't apologize and it looked like nothing would have been done had it not been for my husband calling the owner. We were extremely disappointed with their solution. One of the guys went out to a hardware store and sprayed on something to make it look like cottage cheese ceiling to match the existing ceiling and then smeared it to try to make it blend in. It didn't and it looked awful. Luckily their services included a 1 yr warranty on their work because during the winter time when it started raining, our roof was leaking. We had buckets in our living room. Our roof was brand new when we bought the house and the home inspector at the time gave it two thumbs up. My husband went up into the attic and found that the leak was where they had placed the AC. The Zodiac installers came out and fixed the problem. Overall their craftsmanship was just shoddy. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I thought their pricing was very fair.

They were very competitive. They are very punctual. They do everything they say and I could not be happier with their work.

They did not do a good job at all. They installed the heater improperly, and it took them six months to remedy the situation. They were having troubles getting the heater to work. They would be out for five hours at a time. I felt like the people they sent out to fix it didn't know what they were doing. I have yet to discover if the air conditioning works how it's supposed to.

I thought their price was competitive. They respond properly and they come on time. We will continue using them.

I am not satisfied with the job that they did unfortunately. Great personality but terrible service. It was installed on March 21. When it was 112 degrees in July the central air was not working properly due to incorrect installation. It took them another week to come out, hopefully they remedied the situation. I sent all the warranties back and ask that they be pro rated from the time the equipment was actually working. They damaged some of my ceiling. It was a challenging situation.

THEY WERE PROBABLY THE SAME THING AS THE ELECTRICIANS. THEY WERE RESPONSIVE. THEY WERE ALL PROFESSIONALS. THEY CAME IN AT A GOOD PRICE AND THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS AFTER THAT. IT WAS PROFESSIONAL QUALITY WORK. YOU COULD TELL IT WAS PROFESSIONALLY DONE AND EVERYTHING WORKED GREAT.
