+ 0 moreDan was very considerate and very prompt in coming to provide an estimate. His fee was slightly higher than another licensed contractor that I spoke with, but Dan was much more thorough in planning the project and also came up with several recommendations to improve its appearance, which is why I selected him for the job. The final cost was $300 more than the original estimate because they had to build the wall higher than originally anticipated. The result was a very solid and nicely built wall. I would not hesitate to use him again.
Description of Work: I hired Dan Markush of Universal Construction to build a low retaining wall on my property. They first had to remove an existing chain link fence and a large tree stump that was in the way, manually haul all of the cement and blocks into my yard (there were many steps), dig a trench that was deep and wide enough to support the wall, and then build a block wall. They also cleaned the site after completion and arranged for all debris to be hauled away.
