Description of Work: I left several messages over 2 days without getting a call back. I finally reached someone who set up an appointment time and said he would call before to confirm. Never got a call, no one showed up. I called again, but got no response. Had to ask Angie's List for a refund on this Big Deal.

Description of Work: The provider came on schedule to look at job and provided an estimate. The cost estimate was much higher than the original $1499.00 deal that I signed up for.We tried to bring down the cost by making some adjustments in the total work involved, but it was still beyond our budget. We than called topaz the contracter and talked with Abi to tell him we are cancelling the original deal.

Description of Work: I've been out of the country for a month since I purchased this service. I returned Sunday. I called Topaz twice to obtain more information about their service and to schedule a visit for them to view the job. Did not receive a call back. Today I reached Preston who said he would call back and hasn't. I read the latest negative reviews today and found Angie's List had removed this provider form their list. I wish to obtain a refund and search for a recommended provider.

+ 0 moreI purchased a deal;$1,499 for a Ceramic Tile Shower Replacement, Including Labor and Materials. I was asked by the office manager to send photos and a description of my shower and he would forward them to the appropriate contractor.That contractor was to contact me the office manager said.No one contacted me.I text the office manager two days later to ask about not being contacted.My phone showed he read the message,but he didn't reply.Regardless of that I went ahead and made an appointment for someone to come to my home 7 days later.No one came at the appointed time.I received no phone call of explanation.No one answered the phone calls I placed.I sent a text to the office manager regarding this.Again,my phone shows it was read,but no response.I called the next day saying I was doing what I felt was a courtesy to them.I was asking Angie's list for a refund of the money I had paid due to their poor customer service and communication and obvious lack of concern over wanting me as a customer.The office manager asked if the owner could call me.Soon,someone saying they were the owner called and kind of apologized for no one showing up at my appointment the previous day. I'll paraphrase the conversation.The owner said he was losing money on every job he got from Angie's list.His salesman was tired of talking to people that day(the day he stood me up) and just didn't want to deal with any more customers.The owner didn't seem sorry at all I wasn't going forward with the work. A long conversation condensed.Lesson learned.I am glad Angie's list exists to support those who are being taken advantage.

Description of Work: Set up meeting at my home for bathroom remodel for May 14 at 6pm. The company representative did not show up. I called their company the next day to ask why. Operator/secretary advised me that someone will contact me shortly. No call from them. I also email them my complaints of above on 5/16. Again, no response from them. I do not want to do any further business with this company if there are already so much problems with initial consultation and communications.

Ron from Topaz construction came to our property for inspection and said to my brother that he will send a contract to sign. We did not hear from him or received any contract so called again. He said we need to call owner. After few phone calls my brother finally got hold of owner. He stated that he can not do this job with the price quoted on Angie's list as he has to put $1000 out of his pocket. He stated that Angie"s list forced him to advertise at this low price. He said he will refund the money and suggested to make a deal out of Angie"s list. We wanted to remodel 4 baths for our rental properties if this deal went alright. I would like to get full refund. Already lost few hours of my time for nothing. Jatin

Description of Work: I could not get anyone on the Topaz Construction phone to schedule a job walk. So, I send an e -mail to them via Angie's List to schedule a job walk. On 5/7/2015, somebody from Home Improvement called to schedule a job walk date. I agreed to meet with the caller who did not give his name, on Monday 5/10/15 at 3:00 PM. At the end of the phone conversation the caller informed me that my wife must be present at the job walk. I told him she cannot as she is out of town. He was argumentative at this point. I waited at the house for one hour for the contractor to show up (between 3:00 - 4:00 PM). No body showed up nor called. I left the house. Someone without a business card showed up around 7:00 PM at the house for job walk. He lied to my brother who was at the house that the appointment was changed to 7:00 PM. After the job walk he told my brother that the job will cost $2500 - $11000. This is a small shower with 3 walls 3' x 8' and partial wall around the door (< 110 sq. ft.). Fiberglass panels on the walls and tiled shower pan. These guys are not professionals and my short experience with them is very bad. I do not feel comfortable dealing with them. Please refund my $1499.00 prepaid. Thanks.

Description of Work: Added in new charged that don't make it a deal anymore. They didn't communicate with me when they were suppose to show up. Mbr would like a refund and start over. He didn't like being added in for the shower pan and permit but he did think the plumbing was a fair additional charge.

Description of Work: Did my pool with National Pool Designs and re plastered it to get ready for this summer and I absolutely loved their work. They also paved the cement on the back yard with nice texture. They have excellent customer service, prices are low compared to other bids from other company's and they have a wide range of tiles and options to make your pool look great. Pool party season here we come!
