Last Sunday after giving the kids a bath, I noticed that the drain in the bathtub was not draining. The past couple of weeks it has slowed down considerably and I put in some Draino, but nothing significant. So in the afternoon, I found an ad online for drain cleaning $69.00 with Rooter Buster. Called and they gave me a 2 hour window, wished it was faster, but couple of other places I called said they were not going to be able to get to me until Monday, since it was Halloween and a Sunday. In any case after couple of hours a plumber named Cloyed showed up. He ran the snake and couple of minutes later, the culprit was found, my sons mini GiJoe toy and bunch of hair. Well since Cloyed was there, I asked him to see if he can unclog the backyard draining system. Since the rainy season was coming. He said if he can unclog it with the snake it would be $69, if not he has to hydro jet it. Poor guy tried but it did not work. He used a camera and we had a large tree roots and all kind of hard surface build up. He called his office and had the jetter brought over and within 30 minutes we had perfectly draining back yard. I think almost every plumber could have done this, but, the reason I am writting this great report for Rooter Buster is when it came to settle the bill. To my calculations, I had 2 drains @ $69 each plus a camera inspection what would normally be $99.99 plus the jetting fro $295, so I was preparing myself to haggle on the price. But what Cloyd said was that since they had to use the jetter, they would not charge me for the drain cleanings and since he had a coupon for a free camera inspection with any hydro jetting, he would only charge me for $295. And he gave me a biological drain cleaner for weekly use to keep the pipes clean. So i thanked him, gave him some Halloween candy called it a night.
