My front door deadbolt was bent. I have been using Plaza Lock & Key of Encino for years and knew the father and mother. Recently they were asked to fix a bent deadbolt on my front door. Adrian came on time, installed a new deadbolt, charged to rekey it, charged $70 for labor and $65 for the trip charge. I was told the total was $187.56 and wrote out a check while he was still writing the bill. Handed him the check as he was leaving. After he handed me the bill, there was a charge for $45 to replace the batteries on my Wyze lock. He was not told nor did I want him to replace these batteries -- I do this myself all the time. In addition, he took MY batteries out of my hand to do this. Called the office to protest and the lady that answered and the bookkeeper agreed that this should not have been charged. She said I would be getting a refund of the $45. It still has not come. I am a 77 year old senior citizen and evidently this business now feels it is right to take advantage of seniors.

It went great and continued which is why I hired Plaza for 2 more projects. Plaza Lock and Key is a family business with a store in Encino. Joel, the dad, did the emergency repair on my front door. Maria, the mom, did the scheduling and has also made keys for us in the past, and their son Adrian installed the touchscreen deadbolt today.

I picked the safe at his place of business. He came to my house on time, installed it neatly and efficiently.Took his time explaining how it worked. On July 31, 2012 I was having trouble closing the safe. I called him.He called the safe company and one of the safe company representatives called me back and solved the problem for me over the phone. Great service. I would definitely recommend using Plaza Lock and Key.

They were very good. We had no problems with them. They were professional.

THE REPAIR TOOK ABOUT 20 MINUTES, AND THE WORK WAS DONE PERFECTLY. THE LOCKSMITH SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WAS RESPECTFUL. HIS WORK WAS NEAT AND HE LEFT THE AREA CLEAN.
