I called at 8 am on Monday they were able to come out at 11:30 the same day. The price quoted was similar to other costs I saw on the web. The repair man arrived on time. It took a little over a hour. It is a more complicated process than replacing the springs on a swing up door. I can't complain about cost or time. The swing up door needed new springs every 2-3 years. The springs on the roll up door lasted over 13 years. Just be sure to mention if you have an insulated door, it is heavier than a non-insulated door and the springs are 2-3 times bigger. Fortunately he had a pair on his truck and did not need to go back to get them.

Drew was extremely professional and responsive from the estimate visit all the way throughout the process. Drew and Alex and their entire team did a fantastic job explaining everything to me and answering all of my questions. The demo and installation went very smoothly and was completed in a timely manner. All concerns were addressed and we are very pleased with the final product. I would definitely use them again for other projects.

We especially appreciated that our sales person (Drew) was involved from start to finish and always available to answer any questions. The finished product looks great and is working well.

Pacific Gate and Doors did a fantastic job. We bought a house with a driveway gate. The motor shut off, and the gate was scraping the driveway and not closing properly. I got a bid from the company that had a sticker on the motor and they told me the motor would need to be replaced (at a cost of $3,000 just for the motor). I then found Pacific Gate on Angies List. They came out and told me that I probably just needed to reset the motor, not replace it. They also pointed out that access to the manual lever that can be used to open the gate in the event of a power failure had been welded shut. Most importantly they worked with me on several different ways to lift the gate so that it did not scrape the driveway. This was not as simple as first appears, because the driveway is sloped, and we wanted to have the minimum clearance at the bottom so that a a dog could not crawl under the gate. They worked with us to angle the hinges just right to make sure we had sufficient clearance, and address our concern about not having too big a gap at the bottom when the gate was closed. They were right that the motor just needed to be reset, not replaced. They "un welded" the emergency lever and put a key lock on. Everyone on the team was extremely courteous and had great follow through. Drew did the initial estimate/evaluation and was very professional. I don't remember the other team members but they were all great. After they were done they showed me how to reprogram the codes on the keypad and use the telephone entry system. Terrific people to work with. I highly recommend them.

Everyone I interacted with (Drew/Gustavo) were total pros at Pacific Garage Door & Gate. They installed a brand new complete garage door and motor where there previously wasn't one. They showed up exactly when they said they would every time they came out. Once I accepted their bid (bid against two others I found on Angie's List and they were very competitive) they came back out to double check their measurements to make sure they got it right the first time. When I asked for a paint chip of the garage door, Drew had it hand delivered to me the same day. The garage door was installed yesterday and it looks great and works perfectly. They even hauled away the old doors... Drew promptly answered all of my emails with questions and requests and I could not be more satisfied with the job they did. I intend to install a new automatic gate early next year and will absolutely use them again.

The repairman called to say he was on his way. He was on time and very pleasant. Repaired the gate quickly and explained what he did. The cost of the repair was very reasonable. I would use them again.

After they quoted me $365.00 for what they told me would be an hour long job (labor only, no parts needed), I expressed my displeasure with the amount, given the limited amount of time that they'd spent figuring out the problem, and since it seemed that the only thing that needed to be done was to put a cable back onto a pulley. I told them that at that price, they charged more than most doctors for an hour of service! They told me it was because of their trucks, insurance, and the difficulty of the work -- as if the work was so much more complex than that of any other contractors that I've hired in the past. I told them that I would pay for the repair since they were already there, and I needed my garage door fixed. After a minute the repair person came back to me to say that they couldn't work for a customer who was unhappy about the price. I told them again, that no, I was not happy about the price, and would probably not use them again, but that I needed the job done and would pay for it. He then said that he couldn't do it since I wasn't happy, got into his truck, and left. It was the oddest, rudest interaction I'd ever had with a contractor, and I've used many. To the company's credit the owner did try to reach me later that day to discuss, but I had already decided that given the attitude I would not feel comfortable with them working at my home.

Although Pacific Garage Doors and Gates does not serve Torrance, the gentleman who answered was extremely polite and helpful, and I appreciated the level of courtesy extended even to someone who was not a potential customer.

I had some other company over and they wanted to change the gate's circuit board for $750.00. But this company's technician fixed the gate without changing the circuit board for $100.00. He was very nice and punctual.

Work done on-time and professionally. There was an initial challenge with the intercom system; Pacific repaired the problem on the next day.

I love the gate! This is what I say every time I come home. It's beautiful, fits in well with the property, and is easy to use. Drew Dagan was my point of contact. From the beginning, he was very responsive and quick to resolve any questions or concerns. His crew - installation guys and painter - were professional and meticulous about their work. The process from start-to-finish took several weeks. First, they came out to discuss the requirements. Then they sent me a design to approve. They then had to go build the gate. Meanwhile, I had to hire an electrician to run electricity out to the driveway to power the gate. Once that was complete, Drew's guys took a couple days to install the gate and surrounding fencing, and then another two days to paint. When all was done, they trained me on how to open/close the gate with the clicker and gate operator. They set the gate to automatically close after 20 seconds. I also had them set up codes for our service workers, and that's when we realized that while the service workers had a code to get in, there was no way for them to get out (since the gate closes behind them after 20 seconds). Drew & crew quickly resolved this by installing another keypad. I would highly recommend Pacific Garage Doors & Gates to anyone who asked me. The quality of the work is outstanding and their customer service is top-notch.

When the workers showed up and I described the problem, they already knew what the problem was before even looking at the door. They were prepared to replace the springs and their was nothing else proposed. My garage was not exactly 'car ready', so even though I'd cleared stuff out of the way beneath the opener and track, we had to move stuff away from the sides; the workers helped me do this. They also offered to move things back in, but I didn't want to just put the garbage back in without going through it. The whole thing took maybe 1/2 hour and the door is now opening and closing fine - and much quieter! I would definitely call Pacific again if I needed more work.

They quickly came out to get the installation details, followed just a few days later by the installation . The new door is fine, and they also took care of framing and molding repairs. Gustavo did a great job on the frame and door installation and also the molding.

Arrived promptly for estimate. Removed and disposed of old gate. Built and installed new gate. Several measurements taken for accuracy, which was appreciated. Scheduling appointments were days only - never an estimated time of arrival given - so constantly had to be on "standyby". After initial estimate, 90% of contact was done through email which seemed to draw out the entire process.. That said, primary contact person was patient with changes and careful to confirm options/changes for accuracy. Each and every employee was friendly, courteous, and professional. Applied advertised Angie's List coupon to final cost when requested, without hesitation. Satisfied with work and will use this company again for future projects.

The original installer had long since vanished from sight, so I called Pacific to service my system. Jessie from Pacific was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he managed to keep the current system working. When the system does finally flick it in, I'll be calling Pacific to install the replacement system. Hopefully I can get a couple more years out of this one, though.

They were fabulous. They responded right away, came when they said they would, fixed my problem and were very professional.

The man came to do the measurements and they later followed up with a quote. It took a few days. We wanted a wood gate but he said wrought iron would be cheaper. I thought that was odd. They quoted us about $1000 which I thought was outrageous. I could buy a gate for $200 from the hardware store and install it myself. I would never use their services.

He was super nice, very professional, easy to work with, honest about the work that needed to be done and about how long it would take, did the work quickly and efficiently.

Jessie and his team were great. They first came out to maintain our existing gate operator but being that it was so old we had them come back a week later to replace the mechanism. They credited us the maintenance cost of $175 toward the new gate operator which I thought was great. They spent hours working on the gate in 100 degree heat and did a great job. They paid attention to the small details like painting the new gate parts to match the existing. Because they took their time I feel that they did an outstanding job. And now we finally have a gate that works perfectly!

From the very beginning, Drew, the estimator did a very good job in explaining the job detailing how long it would take and what the costs would entail. They came about a week later to do the install and the only reason I am giving a B on punctuality is that they came almost two hours late and I had to call them to figure out that one of their techs had called in sick that morning. Both installers could not have been more professional and nice and described exactly how to operate the system. I did get a few bids and they were good on pricing also. UPDATE - One of the transmitters was not working after a few weeks, which happens so no fault of theirs. But, the important thing is that I emailed Drew early on the Tuesday after Labor Day and he had a someone there within HOURS to fix it. I revised punctuality now to an A!!

The guy was great. He came out, and was able to fix my garage door opener. Didn't try to upsell me on something I didn't need. Showed up on time, very easy to work with, very professional.
