This company did a great job for us! They did the work in way so the task won’t need to be redone within the next few years. This means that they truly solved the problem instead of just putting a band-aid over it. I think the final cost was a little pricey, but well worth it given the quality of their work.

Their work turned out very well. The technician repaired the door efficiently and effectively. He even went a little above and beyond, which I thought was nice.

On time, called ahead, detailed, fixed the problem... did not do more work than necessary. overall good experience.

Drew is extrememly professional. He gave me all of my choices, provided a web-site for me to check out what they do and answered all of my phone calls, e-mails promptly. The price for all three projects was also exceptional, as I got two other estimates that could not compare. The work was accomplished in a punctual manner. As a first time home buyer, I have learned that for the most part things do go wrong on almost every project. The difference in the experience and the outcome is how the company handles these snafus. On one occasion, the cut-outs for my hinges were measured incorrectly and there was some gap between the hinges and the frame. I called Drew and he had his worker redo it promptly. There's the difference. Drew never flinched, he just took care of anything I felt was unsatisfactory. I'm thrilled with my new gates. They are gorgeous and everytime I open that gate and drive through it, I smile.

My gate has been not working properly for over a year because no one has been able to fix it. I have had numerous people come out and look at the system and even though each started out saying it would be easy to fix, not a single person was able to. I decided to look on Angie's list for a referral. I called Pacific Gates and spoke with Drew. Over the phone, he helped diagnose the problem with the motor and we discussed options. I was prepared to buy a new motor and Drew convinced me that it would not be necessary. Tom, one of the servicemen who came out to do the job was extremely knowledgeable pinpointed the problems immediately. He was able to fix what no other technician had been able to do. I would highly recommend Pacific Gates and would use their services again in the future.

They were reasonably priced, responsive and punctual. Whenever we had any questions they were able to explain the reasons why things were done in a certain way in a professional manner. We didn't love the paint job they did on the gate, but it's acceptable and the gate itself was well done. All of the workers were nice, knew what they were doing, and on time. The work was completed very quickly as well. Would recommend this company.

Very well. Service provider was very polite, professional and informative. Arrived within previously agreed upon time frame. Handled work in a timely manner. Would use this vendor again. While I am far from an expert on garage door maintenance, I thought the cost was a little high - I could be wrong about that. I did know the cost up front and agreed to it. My biggest concern was working with a reputable vendor and that expectation was met. Thank you Angie's List!

I didn’t have them do any work related to the garage doors. They quoted me $200 for their service. There was nothing that really stood out to me about them. I got several bids, but I ended up doing the work myself. They were very good. This is an apartment building and not my own house. So, I just had to look at it from the cost perspective. They did a very good job and they were very courteous as well. Their responsiveness was very good. Their punctuality wasn’t an issue. They were very professional too.

The tech cleaned all the chains and electrical components, found a way to save me a lot of money to do a clever workaround instead of a replacement (which I'll eventually need to do someday in the future.) Got it working great and fast and made suggestions as to what to do and not to do in the future to keep it all working great. Very positive experience. As there were no parts involved and the work went fast, I was a bit surprised that it cost $150... but he saved me about $500 in what others would probably have replaced instead of repaired. Good folks, fun, nice, fast, and I'd use them again.

The 2 man crew was on time professional and completed the job in approximately 3 hours. They tutored me on operation and helped code the door opener switch in both cars.They then hauled away all the debris from the original door and left the garage spotless. I was very happy with this company.

It went very well. The doors were plywood on the back and cedar trimmed with luan panels on the front. Each door has 4 windows. Tom kept telling me to paint the doors ( they are considered paint grade ) but I really wanted to stain them and I think they turned out pretty well. It's an old house and adjustments had to be made during the installation because nothing is square. They figured out each challenge and I am very happy with my doors.

From consultation to post installation Drew could not have been more professional. I was very specific re: the type of door and design I wanted and he sent me PDFs of the door design so I could sign off on it before I accepted his offer. He also explained the process of installation and what we would need to move in the garage to make the installation work. He sent us a very fair quote which we accepted and then worked with us on scheduling installation to accomodate my travel schedule. His installers were so kind and hard working and....they were amazing! After installation I got another email from Drew asking how my installation went....something I really appreciated.

Though the project initiation was delayed due to whether & a host of other reasons, once the project started it was finished very quickly. The results are impressive and we are very pleased. Feedback from everyone has been very positive, "the best thing you have invested in" is the response we keep hearing. Some adjustments were necessary and Pacific took care of them in a reasonable amount of time. We live on a busy intersection and the added security & peace of mind is worth every penny.

They came out within a day and installed the keypad. Great job.

Pacific Gates came out the same day (within 1 hour) of my call and diagnosed and replaced a damaged control board in our electric gate opener. I was very pleased with the customer service, response and quality of the repair. Both Shirley and Drew from the main office are very accomodating and responsive to customers needs and I will use them again in the future.

My problem came from the oil spill on the driveway which occurred when the repair person opened the hydralic motor attached to the gate. The spill was substantial and ran 6' down the driveway. If I had not broached the subject the repair person was clearly going to pretend the problem did not exist. After waiting to the end of the appointment to see how he was planning to deal with the mess I finally asked him how he was going to clean the spill. His answer was, "I don't know. Do you have a hose?" Water was the last thing the grease needed. I can't imagine that this company does not deal with oil and grease in their motors so this was a surprise to me. He did not mention being sorry that he had caused an ugly mess on a pristine drive-way, particularly problematic because the house was being shown later that day to a potential buyer. Upshot was, nothing really got fixed and I had to shop for and buy grease cleaner, scrub the drive and pay $330. plus $20 tip to the company.

Pacific Garage Doors and Gates came to inspect the gate the day after I called. They provided me with an emailed estimate for a new mag. lock that afternoon. After a phone discussion with Tom, I agreed to have the work performed and PGDG came the following day, on time, with all the parts, and completed the work as planned. Afterwards, Tom spent time with us and reviewed each item that was completed and patiently provided us with detailed operating instructions. It was an excellent experience overall.

Drew was very professional, nice, on-time, prompt with follow-up and easy to work with. The crew did an excellent job. I couldn't be more happier with the service and the new motor and key pads.

My front gate hinges and spring had rusted off their wrought iron post so I called Pacific and they were very courteous. They set up a time for their man to come to my property. Tom showed up on time and gave a reasonable estimate so I asked him to go ahead and do the work. He said he'd call with a date as they were very busy. A few days later I still hadn't heard from them so I called and they gave me a time for the following day. Yanni showed up on time and did a great job. I would use this company again!

They came out for an estimate on the same day I called, and were very professional and curteous. Sean gave me a rough estimate for a new door, as well as the cost of an insulated door and the cost of installing a new garage door opener. When I called back to confirm that I was interested, he returned, took exact measurements, and didn't pressure me to change my mind and get an insulated door or a new opener (neither of which were needed). He wasn't totally clear that it would take about a week to get the new door in and then an additional couple of days to prepare it, but it is possible that I misunderstood. They were very clear and responsive when I called to follow up a few days after the estimate. They were flexible in selecting a day and time that would work for me, arrived on time on the scheduled day and completed the work quickly and efficiently. The contractor who came out even took the time to sweep up the garage and dispose of all of his trash. I would definitely call this company again.
