Their service was terrific. They had timely service. They did the work at the price and time they said it would be.

Their service was great. This is the third time I had used them. They have been very good. They have been attentive, punctual and professional.

Before checking Angie's List, I priced one out on-line at Home Depot, and also had a rep from Mesa come over, I guess because they advertise so much. Then I read the reviews of Mesa on Angie's list, and so much for Mesa. I should have checked the reviews first. Then I did check Angie's List, and contacted Pacific Garage Door becuse of the good reports. The estimator was on time, and did his work quickly. There was no pressure for me to purchase a new garage door motor nor a more expensive door model. Very shortly thereafter, I got an estimate via e-mail, for $938, several hundred less than the other estimates, and less than I expected to pay. Sounded good to me, and I gave them a 20% down payment. A few days later, they called me to say the door was ready (much sooner then I expected), and could be installed early the following week. The installer team (man and wife) were right on time. Very friendly. It was obvious they had done this many times before, as the installation went quickly and smoothly. He repositoned my old garage door motor so that it could be used with the new door. They cleaned up nicely, and the installer gave me some advice on how to get more milage out of the door my telling me how to lubricate it. The door looks great, and operates smoothly.

I can highly recommend this company. The owner is a hand-on manager, and what he said he would do... he did. The project was completed on time, and on budget. You can't go wrong with this contractor.

Great, as usual. Always on time (if not early!), always honest, always friendly. They even fixed the garage door for free!!!

We were very impressed with the initial contact person (Drew). He offered ideas and alternatives for the gate installation (we have a driveway that has an incline, so some special care was required), and we were able to agree on a price and approach with him. The other gate company we interviewed was not flexible, and offered no alternatives. Pacific has a number of different offerings for gates, and we were able to select one that we liked and met our price range. The gate was installed in July 2011 as scheduled, painted and has been operational for 7 months. We had a remote control keypad installed as part of the project and we encountered intermittent problems with it working correctly. We contacted Pacific and they came out a number of times to deal with the problem. Eventually the location of the keypad had to be moved and it has worked perfectly since it was relocated. Our garage door did not open one morning (and our cars were inside the garage). We were able to open the door manually, but had to leave the garage open because the door was inoperable. Pacific Garage Doors came exactly when they said they would. The person who repaired the door identified the problem immediately, had the correct replacement part, explained what had to be done, did the work in 30 minutes, put everything away and checked to make sure the garage door operated correctly before he left. He was extremely professional, courteous, punctual and efficient. I highly recommend this company.

Contacted Pacific Garage Doors (PGD) because the welding on the bottom hinge on one of my metal gates became detached. The gate slid to the ground and I couldn't even lock it. Spoke with Shirley and she said she could provide an estimate if I sent her a picture of the hinge. Since it was dark when I came home that night, I took a picture next morning and emailed it to her. Called her a few hours later and she said the welder would be back from lunch and she would call me with an estimate. Shirley called back a few hours later and said it would cost $650 to fix both hinges. I told her the other hinges are fine and I only needed the bottom one fixed. She insisted both (even though I have 3 hinges on the door...just assumed I had two) need to be repaired and it would either be all or nothing. I chose nothing and went with another company that actually sent someone to my house for a visual inspection and fixed the problem for $350.

Punctual, efficient and courteous. Got straight to the heart of the problem, provided the estimate, and fixed the problem in very little time.

Performed maintenance and repaired my garage...it was all done in 2 hours from the time I called until the service man left. The service was perfection.........i'm very pleased with everything.

Sounds like a simple job, but gate is controlled by several sources, including another keypad from a different manufacturer and wireless remotes. The person on the job was very careful to check all specifications to make sure that voltages would be appropriate. He checked in with his home office who contacted the manufacturer. Everything worked fine, and has continued to work fine. I believe this is an excellent outfit.

Despite there was a miscalculation for the front gate, I was happy that the technicians were able to resolve the issue. For the back house gate, the IPE wood gate was turned out really well. Overall, I am please with this company and will recommend to my friends.

Very meticulous in measuring the work. Some delays in contacting us on updates, but workers appeared knowledgable and hard working. We would use them again.

Great Experience overall. We had Drew provide an estimate for a new garage door and driveway gate & opener. Prices were very fair, but we ended up going with a different company for the driveway door (needed it ASAP, and Pacific had a 1 week lead time). We selected Drew for the driveway gate and opener based on his professionalism and responsiveness. Drew came by for an estimate, came back for final measurements, and our new wrought iron gate was completed in 2 weeks, ahead of the 4-6 week estimated delivery. They came back to install the gate, and then again another time to install the opener. Lastly, a painter came by to put on a finishing coat. Drew provided good recommendations for which type of gate and opener to select. Shirley who answers the phone is a sweetheart. Very accommodating to our hectic schedules. Will be using them again for additional gate work on the other side of the house.

The technician was at our house on time and made the repairs to the driveway gate. The price was fair and the technician was helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend Pacific Doors and Gates.

After parking my car in the garage, I tried to close the door with my remote,however, it the cables broke and it stopped working.I looked for garage doors on Angie's list and called Pacific Garage Doors at 8:00 P.M. Thet were very accomodating and senr someone out the next morning. Sean temporaily fixed my door.... as I live at the beach, everything gets eaten away by the salt air.He advised me to replace my door which I did. The estimaye was approx. $1000.00The door was ordered and replaced the following week. They did a fantasic job... They were on time, came in under estimate.. I will use them in the future....

Jim arrive in the stated time frame. He was very professional and courteous and accommodated his gait to mine (I am disabled) made me feel very comfortable (some others had made slight expressions, body language, etc. to show impatience) listened to me, explained what he was doing and calmly waited until my son arrived to continue with the repair, allowing me to return inside. I found Jim to be honest and felt at last I found business I could depend on which gives me hope.

-The woman who answered the phone was polite and try and schedule a free inspection ASAP. -They came assets the job and the very next day finished the job. -The technician was polite and knowledgeable. -The gate works better than ever and the job seems to be done properly. They are official the company who will service my gate in the future if need it. -I strongly recommend them.

I was very pleased with their service. It could not have gone more smoothly. Their estimate was $2,500.00 lower than the first company I priced. When I first called them they gave me a date and time as to when they could come out. The day of the estimate they called to confirm. They arrived on time, assessed the situation and emailed me an estimate a few days later. A few days after that my old gate broke yet again. They were kind enough to come out and see if they could do a temporary fix. It was not possible. They had to rope the old gate in order to insure it didn't fall onto the street, Then a further kindness. They finished the door a week early and installed it (it took 2 days, exactly how long they told me it would take) because I had explained to them I usually arrive from work in the middle of the night and hate having to park on the street. The installation went very smoothly, in fact, I wasn't even there. My neighbor who manages the building across the street checked in on them a few times, called me and said I had nothing to worry about that they really knew what they were doing. My experience could not have been better. I would use them again in a heart beat and so would my neighbor who is very savvy when it comes to this type of work.

Very expensive, I will never use Angies List Again!

They came out, took the electric gate motor apart and discovered that a ripped curtaing had gotten stuck in the chain. They removed the curtain and lubricatted the whole system. What I feared to be a big repair was just quick and relatively painless repair.

From start to finish, the process with Pacific was really a pleasure. We contacted them based on other Angie's List reviews, and I also got a couple additional estimates from other companies. Pacific's price was in line with what the others were charging, and we felt comfortable with them based on the reviews. On our first meeting with Drew, we felt he understood very clearly what we wanted and was very patient and thorough. Ultimately, he took a drawing I made several years ago and turned it into a beautiful solid panel steel and steel mesh driveway gate and matching pedestrian gate. The gates were even finished a few weeks early, much to my surprise! Throughout the process, Drew made a few visits to the site to show us materials and double check measurements. Installation took 2 full days, with painting requiring another 2 days. There was a team who delivered and installed the gates and then another team to handle all the wiring and programming of the gate motor and call box, which was actually a more complex operation that I had imagined. All the guys we dealt with -- there were probably 5 or 6-- were very personable and professional. Shirley in the office was always very kind and eager to help. We especially liked the painter. He was meticulous! And the quality of the metal work is superb. These gates have brought us peace of mind with the added bonus of serious curb appeal. We're so glad we chose Pacific and look forward to working with them again.

The gentleman who came was very nice, and did great job. I’ve already recommended this company to my neighbors. Also, I think the final price was very reasonable.

Their work turned out very well. I really enjoyed that they had a sunburst pattern available, because I live on Sunburst Street.
