I called to schedule an appointment because our single overhead garage door had disengaged several times upon opening and closing. I thought maybe the track or motor needed replacing because it was about 10 years old. Also, our double overhead door was very noisy whenever opened or closed. The office set up an appointment time convenient to me and their technician, Shawn, arrived exactly on time. He tested the single door many times but it never disengaged while he was here, but it was very noisy and squeaky. He suggested doing maintenance on the hinges, rollers and tracks on both doors before thinking about replacing the track or motor unit. After the maintenance work, both doors were much quieter, smoother and working great. He also gave me tips on what to do to keep the doors working properly. I was very impressed that he didn't push for an expensive replacement of the motor / track and instead was able to get everything working more smoothly. He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeabe! Both doors are working great and they're so much quieter -- my husband even noticed it when he came home!!

The company representative was punctual, and checked out the situation thoroughly. While the problem ended up being larger than just my unit and another company was chosen to replace the entire system, I was satisfied with the work Pacific did. The only thing that could have been done better was the communication from their office regarding the follow-up search for the replacement intercom. I did need to call them several times to follow up, when they had told me their front office would contact me. However, when I did call, they always were ready with information and an update.

We were very pleased with the work. They were pleasant to work with and completed it quickly. The paint looks nice and they left some paint behind. Everyone was great and professional. I was pleased with the service. The woman at the office was really nice and helpful. They were able to schedule the appointment quickly. They were very prompt with our emergency situation.

I was not there during the time of the service but everything turned out well.

They also did a gate repair a few months before when one of my tenants bent the gate while driving into the parking lot. I would highly recommend them.

I compared several places, and went with Pacific because they were solid and simple. I also liked that they worked out of a suite rather than a shopfront--ie., they represent no vendors and thus had no desire to up-sell me. Everything was pretty straightforward. The Project Manager (Drew) came by a couple times to discuss the gate and take measurements; I was emailed sketches and information during the entire process. I told Pacific I was tired of DIY projects, I just wanted to write them a check and come home to a pretty new gate. I am a Set Designer for TV and Theater, and I know how to estimate a construction job: Pacific's prices were very, very reasonable. To illustrate, the bulk of the invoice was simply the Viking Gate Opener--something I could easily spec online. Pacific's markup was less than $50, less than it would have cost to ship (if I were trying to build the gate myself). The rest of the invoice could not have been much more than simply materials and time. I could not have done the work myself for anywhere near the price Pacific billed. The bulk of the work was done on location. This is the correct way to do any site-specific job, allowing the pieces to be adjusted exactly. Pacific's team installed the gate posts and laid the wiring. The posts were set into holes & filled with concrete, then bolted to the existing structures (house & fence). The wiring was cut into the existing driveway then sealed with tar. By the end of the first day, they had roughed in the gate and mechanics. The second day, they attached redwood siding (to match the existing fence). They sealed every seam and screw with rust-proof primer, and painted the entire gate to spec. (Note: the team was prepared to wire the gate into an existing junction box, but I said I would take care of that myself. I provided an extension cord to test & operate the gate.) The workers hauled away all the trash from the construction and the demolition (a nasty old chain-link monstrosity). Addendum: I was concerned that my gate seemed heavy and prone to lean a little. Drew came back before the end of the week and inspected everything. He had his team re-bolt the post, and re-inforced it with a central spine of concrete and rebar. There was no additional charge for this visit & service, he considered it merely "finishing the job." (If anyone says "why didn't they do all that to begin with" I would reply, in my capacity as a Set Designer: the least tech is always the best tech--to wit, do as simple a job as possible. I standby Pacific's work.) The final gate functions flawlessly. It looks fantastic, but draws no attention to itself--it just fits the look of the house and yard. Such a simple thing, but such a dramatic improvement in quality-of-life. Worth every penny. I look forward to having them back for future projects.

Pacific Garage Doors and Gates were very easy to deal with. We just moved into a new home and needed to have an automatic gate opener installed on our driveway gate. They gave us a few options, let us think about which option would be best for us, then came within a week to install a Viking G5 arm and wireless keypad. It took them about four hours to complete the work (in the very hot sun). Cost was about $2,000. I highly recommend for a fast, professional installation job on any gate.

Great company. Came, took a look, sent me an estimate. We arranged a date for installation. They arrived exactly on time, performed the service pretty quickly. Totally neat and professional. They explained houw to use the system, gave me the manual and when I had additional questions, called and they were easy and quick to help with with the issue. Great company to deal with!

I provided the parts myself and their Supervising Technician Jim came to finish the installation. I was very pleased with the way he performed his task; he was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. This was my 3rd attempt in trying to get this gate fixed and wish I had thought of Angie's List in the first place. Thanks Jim! Will call you again the next time I'm running into gate troubles.

my locksmith was having difficulty helping me reset my garage code. Pacific garage doors came out free of charge (I just offered a small tip in appreciation). He was great. Problem solved.

The entire experience with this company was excellent. Drew showed up on time to give measure for an estimate, provided the estimate via email with a proposed design and scheduled the work to begin expediently. I was very impressed with everyone at the company. The gates look beautiful and too my surprise I happened to run into Drew a couple of days after the installation. He stopped by on his own volition to take a look at the gates and to make sure that I was happy with the end result. A++

Great experience. They worked with my general contractor who raised a concrete wall in conjunction with the gate install. They completed the project as promised and the estimate was right on.

I was happy with their service. I initially emailed Pacific the photos of the two wrought iron pedestrian gates that I needed the widths cut down to fit the new openings. I received a call back in which I discussed the scope of work and was provided with a price to perform the work. An appointment was scheduled and the service person came during the agreed to time window. The service person was efficient and performed the cuts and re-welded the gates back to the fences. He re-installed the receiver posts and primed the welded areas. The work was done in less than two hours. I inspected the work and was satified with his work. The area was cleaned up thoroughly. I will definitely consider using them again when I decide to have a vehicle gate installed.

Everything went like clockwork from my first contact. Within 48 hours, I had a polite young man survey my property and give me advice about the equipment I would need. He was very knowledgeable about gate openers and the safety issues involved. I had and email estimate by the close of the neat day. After some research, I decided to pull the lever. After accepting the contract, I was given a tentative start date. The crew was able to come two days earlier. My setup required two gate operators, a ground loop detector, an infrared detector and wireless remote controls. The work started at 9:00 AM and was completely finished by 5:00 PM. Three men worked in the hot sun all day and did an excellent job of installing the equipment. Pacific Garage Door and Gate is a well managed company with enthusiastic employees. My experience has been A+.

Initial phone contact was good and I was able to get a convenient appointment. They were very good at explaining the problem and suggesting alternative repairs. Repairs were in line with estimates and I appreciate the follow-up call to make certain I was pleased. When I had a different problem with another gate I called them to come over and do whatever was necessary. I have never been present when they were here but have full faith in their workmen.

Drew, the company's representative, initially came to our home to provide us with a free estimate to add an electric motor to our existing gate. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Drew was very knowledgeable and informative. He evaluated our gate and situation. He recommended an electric motor he thought would best fit our needs. He was very thorough and professional.Less than 2 weeks later, we arranged for the installation of the electric motor. Installers Jim and Josh arrived on time. They were VERY professional, courteous and respectful of our property. They even offered to do the touch-up paint needed on our gate after the install. We were very appreciative and they did a great job! They thoroughly cleaned up the jobsite after completion of the install. Finally, the installers took the time to explain how to work our new system. They even programmed our existing remote controls in our cars to open the gate. Approximately 2 weeks after the install, Drew followed up with us via email to make sure all was running smoothly.We have had alot of construction at our house this past year, and this company provided us with the BEST customer service of all!My contractor needs to take a lesson from Pacific Garage Doors and Gates.THANK YOU.

I called Pacific on a Wednesday and they were here on Friday (the date I requested) at precisely the appointment time. Josh the service provider was very professional and efficient completing the job in the time suggested. I will use this service again if the need arises.

After calling for an estimate, I sent in photos take with my phone. I was told how much it would be to repair the visible damage on the electric arm and to repair the metal gate. They also recommended replacing the old arm because they couldn't be sure if replacing the wiring would fix the electrical problem or if there was more extensive damage. We were just moving into our new house so we didn't really know the history of the gate. I decided to completely replace the system and the gate was repaired as part of the new installation cost. I made an appointment to install the new gate and have the work done that week. I haven't had the new gate long, but I was very happy with the service and work provided.

I called them at 7 pm at night. It turned out that the remotes needed to be reset. The man answering their phone said he could send someone out, or just explain to me how to do it. He walked me through the steps, and the remotes were reset and working again. No charge. A wonderful experience in this modern day. I would use them again for a real repair. I owe 'em one.

I chose the company from the reviews on Angie's List. I told them I was usually available. We set up a time. i arranged to get all the remote controls from the other (condo) owners. Jim was on time, friendly, professional, and got the openers working well. The office agreed to hold my check until our HOA sent them one. Great service!
