Description of Work: We had been having trouble with our electric gate not opening. Repeatedly had the last company who previously addressed problem try to remedy again. They wanted even more money after not having solved problem over a year and a half of trying. Pacific GD and G came out and added antennae. The gate has opened since. Hope it continues. :)

Description of Work: Excellent work on my driveway gate. Fixed motor without needing to replace it. Also fixed my front door gate that was out of alignment so it could lock properly.

Description of Work: Drew and his crew installed a new garage door along with a Liftmaster motor in roughly about a week since he first quoted. The crew were very reasonable in price and professional from beginning to end. I searched for several vendors here on Angieslist and received several bids and Pacific came out on top. I would high recommend them for those who are on the fence about who to use!

Description of Work: I called Pacific Garage Doors and Gates because of the good reviews I read on Angie's List. I called to make an appointment and asked how they charged. The secretary explained that they charged $75 to come and that amount would be applied to the repairs. She scheduled a time the next day. At the appointed time she called to say they would come three hours later. When the two gentlemen arrived to fix our driveway remote controlled sliding gate, they unscrewed two screws, pressed the restart button and the gate proceeded to open and close beautifully. Jokingly I said something about an easy $75 dollars. No, he said, that'll be $150.00. I explained what the secretary had told me and he did not back down at which point I went in and called her. I reiterated what she had told me over the phone but she insisted that the $75 charge was just to come to the house and then there was a charge of $75.00 on top of that. Needless to say, I was appalled, and merely said I was writing out a $75.00 check and that was that. I have only run into 1 gate person that was reasonable and competent and unfortunately I have lost his name!

Description of Work: My garage mechanism broke and I called Pacific Garage Doors. Shawn, their technician came right as scheduled, figured out and explained the problem (broken springs). After I agreed on the estimate, he did the work while explaining what he was doing, explained what I should do and test in a week to make sure work was properly done. Job was completed within 1 hour. I am very happy with Shawn's performance and am happy recommending this company.

Description of Work: I called for Service around 10:30 am this Saturday Morning,and received a technician here by 12:00 pm to repair my Garage Door. Gustavo has an Exceptional Work Ethic, and explained to me the repairs that were needed thoroughly, and then followed through to completion with an Excellent Job. He performed general maintenance to the Garage Equipment in addition to the needed repairs. I am very satisfied with the caliber of service Gustavo provided, and will definitely be utilizing Pacific Garage Doors & Gates in the future again. Thank you for providing my family & I with both an expedient and excellent service.

Description of Work: Sean came out to fix the door which was working intermittently; he pointed out that the problem was attributable to some items sitting too close to the sensors, which was easily fixed. However, he pointed out another potential problem--the door had no way of being opened from the outside in the event of a power outage. He installed a lock with a cord attached to it and showed me how to use it. I would use them again for problems with my garage door or electric gate.

Description of Work: Called their office based on the reviews. We are looking to design and install extensive fencing in our front yard, along with 2 new automatic driveway gates. Their office could only schedule appointments based on a 2 hour window--like they are the cable company! I have never been asked to wait around for 2 hours by a contractor that I will be spending thousands of $$$ on.

Description of Work: Shirley and Drew are both very courteous , which I appreciate. Drew was on time for the estimate, but we hit a snag regarding our stamped and color-tinted concrete driveway. I asked that since they said they'd have to "break open" the stamped portion to install 1 or more posts, did the company guarantee that they would fix the concrete back when they were done. The answer was that they "do not do that type of concrete work." Our stamped driveway is relatively new, and in good shape; our concerns were only that any new cracks or damages were repaired, and is not unrealistic. Not comfortable working with any company that won't commit to repairing any damages they might cause in the course of their installation.

Description of Work: The service technician diagnosed the garage door problem and adjusted the door motor and managed expectations around life expectancy of the garage door moter. Technician was personable, on-time, informative and efficient!

Description of Work: My 25 year old electric gate was not working, as apparently the receiver was not picking up or transmitting the message from the controllers. The problem was identified, and a fix was made, although in the process, the technician shorted out the primary unit and the entire system had to be replaced.While this was upsetting, the company gave me a good price, and the new gate arm works much more effectively and quietly, so it was probably time for an upgrade anyway.

Description of Work: I needed high cycle springs for a roll top insulated garage door. They were the most reasonably priced and were here when they said they would be here. He explained the process and was finished in about an hour. Very pleased with the service and hopefully with the springs. Time will tell on that.

Description of Work: The first repair was to the garage gate remote receiver. After determining that the receiver was ok, the technician attached an antenna extension to it. That fixed our problem of remotes not opening the gate. It works every time as expected now. The second repair was to the loop detector that keeps the garage door open when a vehicle is underneath. Also, lubrication was applied and chains adjusted to make the gate more quiet when opening/closing. All of the work was completed for the above price. Everyone at our condominium is very happy with their service.

Description of Work: I got home from work on Saturday about 3:30pm and found out my garage door would not open. I called and Drew answered, called me right back, quoted me a price for my door repair (springs for $240.00) plus two remotes ($35.00 times 2=$70.00) for the gate next to the garage that I was planning on getting. Tal came really quickly, explained everything and finished the job in a very timely manner. He was knowledgeable, personal and professional. These are the guys to use when you have a garage door or gate problem.
