Pacific Coast Improvements did the work, and I know they did have other business names and locations. Location I have is 13120 Sheerman Way, N. H. 91605 Phone: 818-503-8005. First response was immediate. Subsequently, it took longer than estimated to get the job measured and finished. I had difficulty opening the windows because of my physical condition, but they were not helpful or sympathetic. Promised to return to help but I never heard from them again.
Description of Work: 2 sets of windows replaced, 2 windows in each.

Robert ("one of the owners..") came over ( 20 minutes late) to inspect my water damaged windows and give me an estimate. Or so I thought. We inspected my windows inside and out, measured them but then did not want to give me a written estimate. He said it would be between $4000 to $5000 and asked when I wanted to install them. I was trying to be nice, even tho' he was making me uncomfortable, and again I asked for the written estimate. I've been working with different types of contractors for months and getting a written estimate is the norm. He had some marks on a paper with the measurements and discussed it would be less for less windows or how I could install some at different times etc. He pushed again this time about financing and kept talking on and on about those details. I mentioned the new brown leak stain on my ceiling I had just found an hour before he came over that day and re-explained about my HVAC problems, and that they were the priority. Now Robert and I had discussed my HVAC issues the day before and HE also scheduled his HVAC guy to come the next day, Saturday. So he knew I had other major problems that needed fixing. I was in the attic addressing the leak issue before Robert came. I only came down from the attic because he was to be there soon. My point being, I would have found the leak myself if He wasnt coming over, but Robert went into my attic to find the leak. I guess he thought I needed his help. I had to direct him where the air cond. unit was. He lifted a duct and saw the leaky pipe. He said the leak was no big deal, I presume to get me to sign up for the windows, even tho he knew about the HVAC heating and air issues. anyway, he still didnt give me a written estimate. He said he "didnt have any invoices with him." That was very unprofessional and odd. He said he would write it up and we agrreed he could drop it in my mailbox Monday. (His office is about 8 minutes away.) He never did drop off the estimate all week. And whats very odd, is that he brought a briefcase AND a large zippered case on wheels into my house. In all that luggage, he didnt have a piece of paper with his company's name and info. on it to write up an estimate???.What was in all that luggage?? On Saturday his HVAC guy was scheduled to come at 2 PM. Robert confirmed it before he left. Well Saturday I scheduled my day around this appt. AND HIS GUY NEVER SHOWED UP. NO CALL. NO NOTHING. I called the office at 2:45 and left a message. Robert didnt give me his guy's cell phone number BUT THEY HAD MINE. I even hung around thinking maybe the guy would come later... Monday Robert called me around 11:30 but I was extremely busy and said i'd call him back. I never recieved the estimate and really did not want to hear his excuses about his guy not showing up.. If his guys are that unprofessional, or if he was upset i didnt "sign" with him immediately, I don't have time for games and unprofessionalism.
Description of Work: I'm writing this for other Angie's members, so they'll be informed. I dont want to hear back from the company or want anything "resolved". Just please post it for other members to read. thanx. I had an appt.to get window replacement estimate and an appt. the following day with their HVAC guy.

Overall, this was a pleasant experience. I was going to get 3 quotes, but the salesman had been selling windows for over 30 years and he had all the right answers. I had used Anlin windows before, so when he asked me if I had heard of them he automatically gained a few brownie points. He was very professional and thorough. I said no to his first quote, and he called his boss, who lowered the price by $800. I suspect they do this with every customer, so they weren't fooling me but I liked the 2nd price and bought on the spot, without getting other quotes. The installation was on time, and the crew was very efficient and professional. They ran out of time, though, so they did kind of a shotty job on part of the clean-up (a couple of the windows weren't clean and they left a little debris here and there). They also said nothing of the glue, which is very smelly and smelled like it was dangerous without ventilation - you they did not caution me about this.
Description of Work: New Anlin Windows installed in all windows (including patio door) of single-story home. The house had original windows from 1965.

I would highly recommend them to anybody. The 10 member crew did their work quickly and finished up on the painting of the 1400 square foot home in less than a week. They were very nice to work around my work schedule.
Description of Work: We had them install 16 double pane windows within our home and a new front door that has stained glass. They also painted the exterior of our home.

Katrina Elias, the certified window and Tex-Coat Specialist, did an excellent job in designing the new look for the house and making sure the work was done efficiently and on time. I also appreciated the flowers that she gave to my mother. The workers were quickly and efficiently. They always listened to our comments and were easy to get hold of. Pacific Coast Improvement always returned our calls promptly. The workers cleaned up their work area everyday. All the neighbors are commenting on how our house now looks brand new. Finally, they completed the work on time.
Description of Work: All windows in the house were replaced, including the sliding back window. Front door was replaced. The wood paneling in the front of the house and around the garage was removed and replaced with stucco. Exterior walls around the whole house were water blasted. They patched and repaired all breaks in the original stucco. They trenched around the foundation. New wood frames were put around the garage and windows. The house was then tex-coated in "sunny yellow" with white trim.

They made an appointment to come and give an estimate. A day before they were to come, their representative called to change the time, denying that the appointment was firm. This is not a good sign. I did not allow them to come.
