Fine for an estimate.

I originally purchased a "Big Deal" to repair our flat roof. The estimator said our entire flat roof needed repair (which I was not surprised to hear). The "Big Deal" was a 50% savings (we paid about $150 for a $300 value). The estimator credited the amount we had already paid ($150), but declined to include the approximately $150 savings we would have had with the "Big Deal". When it was time to sign the contract, the office manager could neither fax nor email the contract. We had to drive to the Ocean Seven office to sign the contract. The workers came as scheduled. That evening, on one of the hottest days of the summer, we learned to our dismay that our air conditioner had been disconnected. No one told us. We also found that, when the workers moved our home phone line, our phone line became so static-y that we could not use it. We had to call the phone company to fix it. It took a week, which meant we were without a home phone for a week (I work at home, so this was a major problem). The phone company said it might cost $55, so when I paid Ocean Seven's bill, I withheld $55 (out of about $3,360). I got an angry phone call from Ocean Seven about that (they refused to take responsibility for the phone line, although they were the only ones to touch it, and this had never happened on our phone line before). Eventually, the phone company did not charge us, so I sent a check for $55 to Ocean Seven within 10 days, completing our payment. I was very disappointed by their lack of responsiveness and professionalism. I cannot vouch for the quality of the work, because it has not rained since then.

The estimator who came out measured my roof wrong and calculated the roof to be 200 square feet over what it is .He have me a total price for the job and it was $400 more than any other contractor in my area .

Went largely as expected. No real surprises. Although the initial cost was well exceeded 5k vs 10k. Slight disappointment a thorough cleaning was not assured. However experience had us procure a magnet from harbor freight tools to guarantee the driveway was nail free - and we did find nails. Otherwise O7 seemed competitive and did satisfactory work. Re-hire for another job, yes would at least allow consideration for bid.

No complaints with the Big Deal. Ocean Seven was willing to honor the contract, though I was slightly annoyed by the inevitable add-ons (in this case, a spray foam under the roof coating) which more than doubled the price. Ironically, the discussion regarding an SPF roof led to our (the homeowners) expanding the project scope to include installation of solar, which resulted in us choosing an alternative cool roof system/technology. In fairness to Ocean Seven, I was premature in purchasing the Big Deal -- I should have done more research first.

He was very nice and gave me some fix-up tips about the rest of my house like patching the stucco on the outside to prevent rain from getting between the walls. As a first time home owner I didn't realize the cracks could create much damage. He was enthusiastic and helpful and tried to get me the best deal if I ever want to re-do my roof.

I talked to the gentleman and he agreed to come look at the work. He said he would check to see if there were any additional charges. He said it would cost $13,500. He explained that I have a shake roof and that accounts for the additional cost. I explained it was a little high and I wanted to wait a week to think it over. He really wanted me to agree to it right there and charge the extra amount at that time. I got a second opinion and the other company quoted $10,800, which also included attic insulation and a lifetime warranty. He even threw in an attic fan for free. I just felt the salesman for Oceans Seven was a little pushy. They got upset that I canceled the deal and overall they were not receptive to my communications. For example, they told me there is no such thing as a lifetime warranty, even though I was getting one from another company. He offered to renegotiate the price and I thought that should have been offered initially.

Went well. Had to get back to finish a few areas.

They did a great job with coming out and giving me an estimate. I kind of knew I needed their further services but I just can't afford it right now so I know I'm going to use them in the future but right now I'm not going to continue with that project. So the inspections was a really good job, I was very satisfied with that they did. He was very thorough and he was very knowledgeable, he gave me a lot of information that I did not know, his explanation was easy too comprehend and he did a great job with explaining everything.

I didn't feel like the surface they wanted to put down was suitable for walking on. It seems like they had a lot of experience with roofs but not decks. They were a little expensive but not outrageously expensive. It's more than I wanted to pay. I just think they were selling me a roof and not a deck. They were very professional. It was kind of a mixed experience. They were prompt and professional and it looked like they could have gotten the job done and on time but again, I don't think their solution was appropriate.

sRon was easy to work with. He was very punctual in providing a quote and warranty information. The estimate and completion time were reasonable. Once the service date was set, his crew was on time if not a little early to start the job. It took about two and a half days to complete the work. The workmanship was very good and the foam roofing seems to keep the house a little cooler. I would use his service again and recommend him to friends.

I'm pleased with the work done by Ocean Seven. The workers were on time, skilled, and they cleaned up after themselves each day. Ron was an attentive foreman, and was eager to see that the work was done to my satisfaction. My new roof looks great, and I don't hesitate to recommend Ocean Seven.

Reliable for sure. Tough to rate quality of work though. I think we overpaid

When Ron spoke with me he said what I needed was not repairs but a new roof. I knew we needed to replace the roof eventually but I had used the money saved for the roof on a new furnace when ours failed completely during a cold spell. He gave me an approximate cost of $14,000 to have it done and we discussed attic dormers, etc. so it was by no means a firm figure. I told him we would probably be able to have it done in a few months and I asked him to fax me a written estimate. I never heard from him again. In the meantime when I spoke with my husband, he decided to take funds from our retirement account to do the roof. When I heard nothing from Ron I must admit I was kind of miffed. We went with another company to have the work done. Ron made a very good impression, was very polite and knowledgeable but to me seemed to not be interested unless the work was done immediately. It's too bad that he didn't follow up.

After being ripped off by 2 previous roofers It went great! Everything Ron said he would do he did. We are very happy. Cleaned up perfect. Showed up when he said he would. This is our first time using Angie's List and we are very satisfied. We will be using Ron again:)

Ron showed up exactly on time for the original estimate and for every other appointment as did the roofers. Despite intermittent rains, they stuck to the schedule as closely as possible. They were always on time, always thoughtful and very knowledgeable and professional. It is hard to find companies in the LA area that are experienced and knowledgeable about foam roofing.
