Method Doors & Gates

Description of Work: We had an old wooden gate that needed to be repaired so we could upgrade the lock. I called and asked if they could fix this. They said yes, but said there was a $45 service charge but that it would be applied to the repair. I should have been on guard when they wouldn't provide a free estimate but thought ok, it will be applied to the work. When the guy came out he said they only do steel gates (but I said it was a wood gate over the phone). Then he quoted me over $1000 to fix it - all it needed was a wood frame at the top - they seemed outrageously high. Then I asked how much a basic new steel gate would be and he quoted me $3800. He didn't ask me any questions about the gate details. I subsequently found another company on Angie's List who asked lots of questions about customizing my new gate and did it for less than half of their price.

Description of Work: Very professional, free estimate for Angie List member, did a great job and disposed of old gate parts, instucted us on the "how too" of the gate/electical information, etc. Price matched other estimates in the area... they did a great job!

Description of Work: I called in the morning and Norm answered. I had a gate latch that needed repair. He came out that afternoon and came up with an easy and affordable fix which required some cutting of iron and rewelding which he did on the spot. Very easy going and easy to work with. He also gave me a very reasonable bid on how to fix my Elite gate. I would definitely use them again and will recommend them to friends.

Description of Work: I worked with Noam, and he gave me a great gate at a great price. He was wonderful to work with and always on time, and he was equally stellar with his follow up phone calls.

Description of Work: Val, the representative from Method Gates was rude and unprofessional upon arrival. We did not continue on.
