Description of Work: I called them in for two issues with my dishwasher. The first issue was that the dishwasher was not draining. I had had another company come out twice this year for the same problem, but the fix never lasted, and with the rave revues for Lerman on Angie's list, I thought I would give them a try as this was the third time in 9 months I had the same issue. The second issue was that someone had fallen on the open dishwasher door, and the door was now bent at a downward angle so when you pulled out the lower dish rack, the rack kept going and dropped off the door on to the floor (breaking dishes the first time). Also the rack had to be lifted about an 2 inches up to get it out of the dishwasher, rather than just smoothly rolling on the door. | |The technician was quite young, and maybe didn't have a lot of experience. He was able to clear the drainage block, created a loop in the hose which he said was the problem as well as my user error, I was not cleaning off the plates enough before putting them in the dishwasher. It's been almost two months and everything seems fine so I'm satisfied with that part of the service. | |However, the technician failed to see there was anything wrong with the door and lower rack. He didn't think there was anything wrong at all, even though I had to physically stop the rack from crashing on to the floor or that I had to lift the rack up to get it out of the dishwasher. After some discussion and upon my suggestion that I thought the hinges were bent, he shrugged at the suggestion but agreed to order new hinges. He gave me a price which I agreed on, but I never heard back from them. I waited for two months, thinking he had ordered them and eventually called in another company who immediately saw the problem with the door and were able to fix it.

Description of Work: I needed my dryer repaired, looked at this site...said they repair in greater Los Angeles area....after calling and telling my story about my dryer...the girl asked where I lived and I said in Malibu near Topanga Canyon, and she just said, " WE DON'T GO TO MALIBU"...and that was it! We are right near sunset and Pch so it's not in NO MANS LAND?? I thought that she was pretty rude as to the tone she took. I think they should be MUCH CLEARER AS TO THE EXACT AREA THEY SERVICE..SO I DON'T WASTE MY TIME AND CALL.

Description of Work: They repaired our LG washing machine. When I signed up for the deal on Angie’s List, I identified the brand of the washer and provided other information that would help them with preparation in the comments. The technician came out on a Saturday. He explained that that this leak was common and if he had known, he would have already had the part ordered. There was some miscommunication and he never received the message. He ordered the part, came out the following Saturday, and complete the repair. In the end, everything has worked out fine.

Description of Work: I was charged $70 and told to buy a new dishwasher as the repair would be $1000 and a new dishwasher would be just about that.

The technician gave me the option of replacing it myself or having him order the part and coming back to replace it. I appreciated the options. I ended up doing it myself and had purchased a coupon through Angie's list so my costs were really minimal.

Description of Work: Replaced a refrigerator part. Originally said they'd schedule in 2 days but I requested earlier and they were out in 2 hrs. Arrived at the beginning of the time window. All done quickly.

Description of Work: They worked me into their schedule as i had discovered a problem with my refrigerator not cooling on a thursday afternoon. If found them on Angie's and called hoping to get someone out the next day (Friday) before the weekend. the accommodated me and by noon, had my refrigerator working properly.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for appliance repair. They repaired both the dishwasher and refrigerator. Everything was good.

Description of Work: Dishwasher wasn't cleaning like it should. Tech showed up and charged $120, then "fixed it" in 8 minutes. Literally... Said I needed to run a cycle using Dishwasher Magic. Did it. It's better, but not as clean as it should be, and at these rates tech should have had a bottle of the $5 cleaner.
