I've used Lerman many times for problems with kitchen appliances (dishwasher, frig); they're always punctual, knowledgeable, and professional - this time was no exception.

They are consistently great. Sometimes the jobs were simpe fixes, other times more complicated. But the technicians know their stuff and are honest and efficient.

i want to be very honest about this review. I called this company listed in the Neighbor to Neighbor book that came to my mailbox. I figured since there was only 1 appliance repair listed that they had done the "homework" for me......not so Technician Mike showed up during scheduled time... that was all the good news i have for them. $60 later, he couldn't find the model on my old Whirlpool stove and gave me an estimate so "out there" based on the fact he couldn't find the model #. He also had an attitude which does not help transactions go smoothly and spoke to my husband and I as if we were idiots when i asked him to explain something to us. I am disappointed and out $60. Oh and his parting words ---If i can find the model # they can come back and repair it based on what they find and --oh---i'll get the $60 applied to labor----r u kidding me??????

I have a very, very old dryer that just died. It's located in an enclosed space with the washing machine. I called Lerman Appliance Repair and told them about the age of the dryer and that the depth of the dryer was shorter than the dryers that are on the market now. I asked if they thought it could be repaired. The lovely lady who answered their phone was so knowledgeable and helpful. She and I agreed that it was probably a bad timer and she looked though all her suppler websites to see if a new timer was available to order. She checked everywhere and because the dryer is so old, none were available. Then she said she'd check with a technician when he came back into the office to see if he had any work-around solutions. She'd call me back. She did call me back and they all were wonderful. The only part available was a used part and it couldn't be guaranteed and it was very expensive. She made two suggestions for new dryers that might meet the required depth to solve my problem. I will check them out online but in the meantime I had to write a review to let anyone know how far they went out of their way to help me find a solution even if they didn't come out. All this advice and caring was over the top. I will call them first with any appliance problems I have in the future. I can't remember getting better service. Bravo.

What is the standard which is above that of excellent!!!! Joseph, whose name I see with compliments in other Angie' s list reviews, was everything anyone would want from a service tech; timely, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and an expert in his craft. Would recommend him, and if he is representative of their other staff, Lerman Appliances to anyone who needs servicing for dryers/washers!!!!!!!! Hard sometimes in this day and age to trust on-line reviews; but know you will not be disappointed!!!!!!

Family owned business. I spoke with one of the owners who scheduled the appointment. Tech repair person, Sergio, came on time(Rare in LA!!!), was pleasant, professional and most helpful. I would definitely use this company again.

Spare parts are too expensive, might as well buy new ones when able.

Estimate of fixing the dishwasher. The most costly part of the machine has failed. The cost was high enough that a new machine was purchased instead.

Lerman Appliances was very professional and courteous from the first call until the job was done. I called multiple places and had a couple people come out. Lerman was by far the best. The repairman was on time, knew exactly what to do, and quickly finished the job. He explained everything very simply. I will definitely call them first with any appliance repairs in the future.

Diagnosed the problem and then ordered the replacement work. Jospeh did a good job of explaining the problem and what required repair.

We have a 36 inch over the stove microwave that was broken. They came out and gave us an estimate to repair. It seemed expensive but a 36 inch microwave is no longer made and to put in side fillers on a 30 inch was not cost effective we chose to repair the microwave. All went well but it took a long time for the parts to come.

He was on time! He showed me what was wrong and how he was fixing the problem. He was very good at explaining things and was honest about the condition of both my appliances. I will definitely call on Lerman Appliance again when I have a problem.

I called about my washing machine that wouldn't spin. I had a tub full of wet soapy clothes. I received a prompt response and an appointment was made for that day, around my ridiculous schedule. The motor needed to be replaced, so the tech ordered it online and went to Van Nuys to pick it up. The next day was his day off, yet he made arrangements to come and install the motor. It doesn't get any better than this. Reasonable pricing. Very knowledgeable!

Very well. I have used this company for almost all of my kitchen appliances. I have always been satisfied and Mr, Lerman had to find the necessary part needed for the repair and he did so quickly. After he installed the part it was fixed very quickly. I thought the bill was high but I have no way to compare because I've always used his company. But then I always know it will be done correctly which is worth a lot.

AS you'll they were professional, knew what needed to be done and had the parts to do the job.

Needless to say I was nervous being right before the holiday and my first time hosting turkeyday. I called Lerman, they had someone out the next day, they diagnosed the issue (both oven igniters were failing), had parts on their truck and had my oven fixed in just about an hour. Pricing was discussed and approved before proceeding and i felt the cost was reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

The freezer was too old to be repaired and the repair man was honest before allowing me to waste my money.

The motor in our dryer was on its last leg and i described the problem to them over the phone and they were able to diagnose the problem. I made an appointment with them and they came out as scheduled right on time. They are an awesome bunch of folks and I have used them in the past for our needs. I definitely recommend them to anyone needing repairs for their appliances!

Great! Joseph arrived on the early side of his appointment window. He is VERY knowledgable, courteous and fast. They guaranteed completion in time for my holiday dinner party and delivered (even though our non-standard oven required special parts to be ordered).

Very well although it’s a pricey part to order.
