Greener California

The sales guy came to the door an sold us on insulating the walls of our home. He said we had a 3 day grace time after signing the contract to check other vendors. We signed and paid the down payment on a credit card. We then checked other vendors, only to find that Greener California did not know that much about wall insulation, and was about twice the cost of other vendors. I called Greener California the day after signing to tell them we did not want the work done by them. They said they would send out a check to cover the deposit that I had paid on the credit card. A couple days later I found out they had actually charge the entire job to the credit card instead of the deposit. They said they could not refund the credit card, but would send two checks one for the deposit and one for the rest of the job they had charge. When I deposited the checks the larger one bounced, so the bank charged me $15 fee. Greener California said oh we are sorry, deposit it again and we will send you another check to cover the fee. The check did go through the second time, but I am still waiting on the check to cover the bounced check fee. Please Note that this happened several years ago before Greener California was listed on Angie's List, which is why I am only just now posting this review.
