The manager made an effort to come out and get exact measurements before order was placed. We had a time line before city inspection so they made a big effort to get it done in a timely manner.

$265 for 10 minutes of labor replacing a $30 part, no thanks. If I didn't know the cost of thepart, thus mi GB t seem reasonable. But I do know the cost.

They were very professional. Did not try to up sell like other vendors. In fact I insisted on roller change, else they said it was fine but I did not want future problem. The garage is now working smooth, hardly any sound. I am a very satisfied customer and will highly recommend this company.

This company is horrible!! I purchased (for $120.00!!!) a "Garage Door Tune-Up, Roller Replacement and 11-Point Safety Inspection". What I got was a huge sales pitch and a salesman who didn't want to do the work I paid for ( the work was clearly listed in the description of the package I purchased for $120.00). This Garage Doors 4 Less guy insisted that it was futile for him to do any of the work (that I had already purchased!!) and he said that what I really needed was a new motor. I told him if I wanted a new motor right now, I would buy it. For now---I ONLY want what I've already paid for--- A TUNE=UP! I DON'T want a sales pitch and being told the tune-up is a waste. The garage door motor clearly works! That is what counts and for now---all I want is a tune-up. That is why I bought the package from Angie's List! This guy from Garage Doors 4 Less seemed angry and annoyed that I didn't want a new motor -- he then spent all of 15 minutes at the most working on the garage door/motor---and then announced he was finished. I asked him to configure my newly purchased garage remote to the motor. He said no--he couldn't do that. Later, after he had left, I just had my handyman come over and he did everything for me easily, for way less I might add --and without the sales pitch. My handyman confirmed that my motor was fine. It was old, but worked fine. My handyman took care of what this Garage Doors 4 Less guy wouldn't/couldn't do. This company was a WASTE of my money and time, and I hate wasting money. If you want a huge sales pitch for your $120.00 then go ahead. But this company is terrible in my book and shame on Angie's List for selling these sales pitches in the form of an actual service!

Not good. I felt instantly before he even started to do the work that I had already paid for--that he was using this as an excuse to "upsell" me on a whole new everything. He kept insisting that I needed a new motor and garage door. Yes I know my garage door and motor are old - but they work! I can understand if he did the work I hired and paid for and THEN started talking to me about buying new - but this felt like a "shake-down". I even had to ask him if he was going to perform the work I hired him to do or not!! He spent no more than 15-20 min total on "aligning" the door and whatever else he did (not much). In the end, he did not sync up my remote to the motor. When I asked why, he said he wasn't able to, despite the fact that I had done it many times in the past. He was rude and his lack of professionalism really irritated me and I felt that I was ripped off. Never again. Folks - it doesn't pay to use Angie's List for this sort of thing. I have yet to be happy with the outcome. AL seems to be all about giving vendors an opportunity to promote their business and is not about real, honest customer input.

It went Very well, corrected some problems from previous service, but didn't try to oversell it.

One of the panels was damaged, so he replaced it and also gave me a new opener when I told him mine didn't work well.

Installation was quick and easy, and they even came out a second time to accommodate a special request. Fantastic.

As soon as the new springs were obtained the tech contacted me and came over and very efficiently replaced them. The garage door has been working very well.

The young man who came was polite & courteous but for some reason the springs he used prevented the door from completely closing. He had to call someone else from the business who finally fitted the correct size springs the next day. I have had spring replacements in the past and it's always been a quick job with no problems for much less expense.

The technician recommended 2 new springs for equal balance, which made sense, plus new metal chains at the base of the springs, plus adjustments. I Sometime during the repair, I asked how much it would cost, so I could make out the check, and was told $500 which I thought rather high. Unfortunately, there were no coupons for a first time service, or other "specials". The repair seemed to go smoothly, although the door is stiff to open (we've never needed a door opener) and does not close completely flat due to the new tight springs, and that this would probably improve with time, or so I was told by the technician. Hopefully this is the case. The more I thought about it, I felt that I had been overcharged. . . my fault because I needed this taken care of right away, and I didn't call at least 2 other companies, which I usually do. So later I called 3 other "A" rated garage door companies, explaining in detail the service I'd had. The charges quoted for the same service were between $275 - $300 "under $400 at most". It really pays to check out at least 3 businesses before making a decision! After calling the company another person came the next day and replaced the springs with different ones which worked.

The customer service representative was unprofessional, argumentative and extremely rude. I am planning to speak with the owner of this company. The company's representative that I spoke to today, Scarlet, I believe was her name, because after I called back to ask her name, she refused to give it to me. When I asked to speak to her manager, she said NO. She ended the conversation saying that we should find another company to work with..despite the fact that I told her that we are already CUSTOMERS, having purchased a new garage door and motor from them in 2015 and a recent garage door service in 2016. (Our review online for them previously, an A.)

We purchase new garage door and new opener, they have the best price. They came on time and the all installation take less than three hours. We are very happy with the final result :-)

Garage Door 4 less Sent out their representative promptly to my home with samples and a brochure to coincide. The sales representative -Mitch was wonderful. He measured thoroughly and explained everything in detail They price matched a competitor AND did an amazing job and provided what I felt like was a better product and service than a competitor.

This is a fabulous service provider in the best spirit of Angie's List. I called for an estimate. Mitch arrived at the time agreed on. His personality was wonderful. He was genuinely funny but took his time to explain all the options and made his suggestions. We agreed on a model, opening system and window styles and most importantly, a price. My wife wanted to be sure of the window so I phoned Mitch. No problem! He'd get an actual (glassless) frame. He dropped it off two day's later. It was perfect. Now I'm a hoarder...the garage was a disaster zone. Mitch sent a tech out to explain to me the exact area the truck would need so it could retrieve the old door and the interior space needed for me to clear the ten feet, wall to wall, needed for installation. The tech was very tactful but specific in how the space should look. This delayed to job for a week but again, no problem. By this time I'd gotten to know the office staff ladies, all sweet and patient and very professional handling all my requests. Today the crew, Dennis and Oscar arrived and three hours later I have a state of the art door that is everything Mich said it would be, extremely quiet, great looking and safe! Dennis and Oscar were amazing to watch. It was like a ballet and I couldn't resist photographing as the old door disappeared and the gorgeous new one appeared piece by piece. They were extremely skilled and effecient and finished three hours on the dot (after carefully sweeping up every speck of sawdust and scrap of cardboard). A truly wonderful experience and my sincere Thank you to everyone involved! Joe Viola
