FRED MORROW PLUMBING

I called them in the late morning and they were able to send Pete in the early afternoon. He was a very professional and nice person. He's been with their company for about 30 years, I believe he said.... I totally trusted them and highly recommend them. The total cost was $105 for the service call but discounted by $10 since it was my first job with them. I also provided the faucet which cost me about $25 at OSH.

Our kitchen sink was clogged over the weekend and we calked them based on the other reviews. They explained over the phone since it was a weekend it would cost more. We agreed on a time and they were punctual, professional and walked us through what we can do the avoid any future problems. We would use them again.

The plumber was polite, courteous and he took a few minutes to listen to all of the issues and then got right to work. He showed no sign of trying to milk the job, he was ALL business. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and Kohler is not the easiest stuff to work on but he was an expert. Oh yeah, I should add that this was my first experience hiring someone off of Angie's List and I am so glad I did. This was a great experience and we are so happy. Thank you!!!

The plumber (it drives me crazy that I can't remember his name) came and snaked out the line. He also fixed a couple of faucets that had reversed hot and cold, and explained probably why our washing machine wasn't getting cold (he was right!). In other words, he did what he came for and a little more, all for just over $100.

This was the 4th plumber I had review our problems with poor flushing toilet and leaks. Tony & assistant, Jose, were timely (kept appointment for same day as requested help), realistic, professional and very tidy in clearing after job. Besides explaining the problem and realistic alternatives, Tony most importantly saved me making the mistakes I would have made with the other plumbing advice amounting from about $1,200 to $5,250; instead was $142. We will have to wait a couple of weeks to be sure we are past the problem consistently, but at least we know the alternatives and they are nothing like the costs we would have had on taking any other advice. I believe this company can be counted on for what they say; fair, honest & helpful.

It could not have gone better with Mike, at Fred Morrow Plumbing. His attitude was so positive and personable. He got the main line working and showed us how much junk came out underneath from the trees.. The house was built in 1945, and went through many kinds of upgrades I before bought it. When Mike said that he could fix it, he did. He and another plumber got to work and things were looking good. He called me and my brother outside and showed us what was in the way....it was a lot of twigs tangled up and looked like seaweed. He said that it was unfortunate that I did not have a main line in front of house. We asked what could be done from preventing this from happening again, and he said that were going to have to have a main line installed at front of house. He said that what I did not have to do, was to run and put it in immediately, buy try get is done sometime next year. He quoted me $1,700. I will never use anyone else but Fred Morrow and Mike. They left everything immaculate. They just picked 3 new clients, me, my brother and a friend of mine that asked if I knew any god plumbing services. They get an A+++! Loved these people.

Dasha took my call and, upon hearing my description of toilet noises, said she would have Fred call me back, that Fred could tell me whether I would need to buy a new toilet. Fred called within a couple hours. I was disappointed to learn that there is a travel charge from Van Nuys to Pacific Palisades of $157.50. That's pretty steep. Fred's hourly rate, if I understood correctly, is $105 for the first hour, $52.50 per half-hour after that. Fred was generous in discussing with me the various possible causes for pipes banging when the toilet is flushed and for the occasional tank noises without flushing. Couldn't understand some of what he told me because he was on a cell phone. I suggest that vendors distinguish in their profiles between areas serviced and those that are services but which incur a travel charge. I had spent a great deal of time researching plumbers and choosing Fred Morrow. Had I known of a travel charge, I would have saved my time and Fred's and called someone closer to home. The details are helpful in choosing from among the many good vendors now on the List.

This is an awesome company from first contact to service rendered. The lady in the office is so nice to talk to. They want to know all the details of your problem so that they can have the parts you need on their truck. Stahl came out and he was on time, professional, very knowledgeable, explains everything. Everything he fixed he rechecked to make sure it was done properly. I've had lots of plumbers through the years, but I've never had such good professional service and also reasonable prices in my life. I feel so grateful to have found this wonderful company. I am impressed with this company's integrity.

After reading many positive reviews here, I decided to hire Fred Morrow Plumbing. They came out the next day to clean a clogged pipe. I even used my Angie's List Coupon for a discount. They did not exceed the quote I received on the phone. For that, I am a happy loyal customer.

Our tub was slow to drain after a bath, and we noticed that the shower was backed up as well. I called Fred Morrow Plumbing and spoke with Tony on the hone. He was very nice and agreed that a sewer cleaning was probably necessary. He informed me of the rates and asked if he could call back when he learned of his crew's availability. He called me be promptly and give me 9:30 AM time, which was perfect. Mike showed at 8:50 AM, early, which was even better. He had one number wrong on the address, but called and was only one house away. I showed him the bathroom where the problem occurred, and then the clean-out in front of the house. He ran water in the bathroom to fill the line. By 9:00 AM, the cleaning was started. He then had me adjust the water in the house to prevent getting dirt inside, much appreciated. Around 9:10 he informed me that there were a lot of roots, so he was going to run it back to the street one more time. He was done around 9:15. Mike advised me to run a yearly cleaning because of the number of roots in the system. Also to have someone run a camera when we want to replace the line, otherwise the distance / complications are not known. There is 30 day warranty on the sewer. He was nice, quick, and efficient. I would definitely use Fred Morrow again.

-Same day service. Shal arrived an hour after I called. He checked everything, diagnosed the problem, offered a quick solution with a reasonable price. He performed the service quickly and tested everything at the end to make sure the problem was truly fixed. As I was paying, he reminded me of the Angie's List first timer discount and applied it. All in all, really good customer service, but as he said when he left--I hope I don't see you again too soon!

efficient and professional.We had an insta-hot faucet on our bar which leaked and finally could not be turned off at all which meant shutting off the water to the faucet and not being able to use our ice maker. This faucet came with the house when we bought it and we had no idea it wasn't a proper bar faucet. Even when it worked, we never used the instant hot water function. I described the problem to Fred who was very accessible and he sent me to Plumber's Warehouse for advice. They advised me to get a regular bar faucet and I bought the faucet they felt would work best with the existing sink. Stal came to do the install. He removed the old Insta-Hot unit and installed the new faucet without any glitches. When he found the angle strap at the bar sink not to be working for hot water, he crawled under the house and found the line to be cupped. He suggested we consider a heating unit be installed under the sink since the cost of extending the pipe to the bar area would be prohibitive and we are exploring that possibility with Fred. I was very pleased with Stal's competence and efficiency, as well as his advice with respect to the hot water issue.

He is very direct, he explains things. I called him at 10 til 3, he was here at 10 after 3. It was even just before labor day weekend.

Service and quality is of the utmost importance - and that's what I received from Fred Morrow Plumbing. I initally called wanting to know whether Fred Morrow Plumbing could replace an existing vanity with a rusted out sink and leaking pipes. Fred Morrow personally came to my home that afternoon of my morning call and assessed the job. Amazing the promptness of the response! After Fred explained the job the job would take a contractor (to remove the old vanity - which would involve wall damage and repair) as well as a plumber - the cost would exceed what I could afford. It was suggested that I replace the sink. That was the best and most affordable and viable option for me. During the initial visit on Friday, Fred, cleared the drain, fixed the toilet handle of the tank, and ordered the sink for installation on Monday, August 19th. On Monday, Stal arrived promptly at 9:00 am and began the work - and it soon became apparent that the sink that they were given - was the incorrect sink. A call was made - and he promptly went to pick up the right sink. Within 20 minutes Stal had returned and continued to complete the work, including new angle stops. A complete testing of the new sink was made and everything was good to go. Stal was professional and the area in which he worked was cleaned when he left. When given the bill, I was not charged for the time for Stal to go get the correct sink - as it was not my error. He represents the company extremely well with being customer oriented and ensuring the quality of his work is spot on. I highly recommend Fred Morrow Plumbing and will continue as a customer of Fred Morrow Plumbing. In a service industry - that is lacking, service, quality and integrity - I can say without hesitation, MY FAITH HAS BEEN RESTORED WITH FRED MORROW PLUMBING. Thank you so much.

They came out the same day and did a great job. He swung by on his way home and it was a great experience. The price was very fair. I will definitely use them again.

I'm very happy with the service provided by the Fred Morrow plumber (Stal). He was punctual, friendly, efficient and was careful to clean up as he worked. He was also great at explaining the work he did and was clear in giving me options and pricing. I know little about plumbing, but I feel like I learned some really useful things today! The cost included approximately $80 in parts plus 2 hours of labor. I also used the $10 off coupon from Angie's.

The roto-rooter man, Mike, came early, and it turned out our main-drain opening seemed inaccessible for his large rooter, due to a tree blocking the front pathway, and a water spigot blocking the rear one. I asked if I could help him lift the rooter over the faucet blocking the rear path, since the other plumber wasn't due to arrive yet. He said absolutely not (insurance issue), and proceeded in pivoting the big machine on its wheels until he found an angle whereby he walked the rooter over the spigot. Brilliant! He was done with the main drain, sink and tub within an hour and, instead of charging the advertised $99 for two hours work, he billed for one hour, $85, and the added $30 charge for the big rooter. A total of $135. The second plumber, Stal, arrived on time, installed the kitchen faucet, replaced the bathroom faucet stem and installed the water filter in the shower. I also asked him to examine my water heater, which had been cited by the Gas Company for a faulty installation. He fixed the top vent, which was the aspect of the original installation cited by the Gas Company, and will have Fred Morrow himself get back to me with an estimate for the rest of the repair. Stal billed me for 2 hours plus parts: a total of $265. Both of Morrow's men were professional, courteous and clean about their work. A small item which I believe is indicative of a person's work ethic: When my prior kitchen faucet had been installed, years ago, that plumber left the contents of the cabinet below the sink spread out on the kitchen floor, amid the mud from his boots. When Stal left, last Monday, not only was the kitchen floor clean, the contents of the sink cabinet (a LOT of stuff) was returned to the cabinet, organized better than I could have done. I wish I could attach a picture. These guys are good. RK

I called after 6 pm the day before and opted to have the plumber come out the next morning. The plumber showed up this morning at 8 am and performed the service professionally and within 30 minutes.
