FRED MORROW PLUMBING

Called the office and said my sprinkler valve was leaking. Said I had to leave in a few hours, so didn't know if I could be home for them. I've used this company many times, and since I'm a customer, she said if I wasn't home they would just send the bill out to me and I could leave. Couldn't believe a company could be so nice and accommodating. Stal came out before I left and he, as always, is so knowledgeable and professional and fixed my proiblems. He always explains exactly what he is doing. They treat you like family and I'm so glad I found this company. I've been so happy every time they have come out. Their prices are very reasonable, also. They really do value their customers.

All went perfectly. Took about an hour and a half from arrival to finish. While not at all an issue, the email copy of the report promised took about a week to receive, which is why I rated as "good" on responsiveness given am paying top dollar. Bottom line is that I find they consistently do very fine, efficient, professional work through all the multiple experiences that I've had with them, but you have to pay for that level of quality and service.

I was hoping this job would be done along with another, more-involved plumbing job to possibly save some on service call, but was told that wouldn't work. It was scheduled within a day; they worker arrived 15 minutes earlier than the window given. He spent about a half hour fixing the faucet, then also a leaky valve under the sink and also took a few minutes to test water pressure. About $105 for the service call, the balance for parts. Not cheap, but excellent quality and customer service. I feel the job was done extremely well. Would rather pay extra to have it done right by real professionals than not.

When Morrow did great work almost 3 months ago snaking my clogged main waste line, it was explained a 4" access was needed to cut through any possible roots and to then run a camera to inspect. I was told a 'special crew' would do the work. The flat $1,700 (minimum) seemed a lot, but I trusted Morrow having used them quite a bit with very favorable experiences. There was confusion about arrival time--perhaps I misunderstood--but it was only 45 minutes from when I thought they were to arrive, so not terrible. It wasn't a 'special crew,' though. Two gentlemen arrived, one was the same as last time. They were very courteous and professional, explaining what needed to happen and taking care to protect nearby plants. I asked how long the project would take and a half day was estimated; still the same flat $1,700 I was told, regardless of time. Five hours later they completed the job, left, and had done well. I suppose I should have shopped this whole project up front, but found from well-rated Angie's List plumbing contractors that $1,700 for the job was significantly beyond the norm. Fred Morrow was very responsive when I brought this to his attention and offer a partial refund. He did explain, however, that to retain the very best plumbing professionals, his staff compensation package needed to be competitive. To some extent, I feel there is a "get-what-you-pay-for" element here, no doubt. And Morrow comes across as sincere and knowing his stuff, taking time to explain things. After the 4" access job, a hydro-jet clean out of the drain line was recommended within the year. The verbal quote was about $800, and after reviewing with Fred, we worked something out though still not at all cheap. I could try out another good Angie's List plumber for that hydro-jet work, but unless there is a Morrow misstep in the future, I would rather pay a premium for quality work than waste time and money gambling elsewhere then regret not using Morrow.

Fred Morrow Plumbing was recommended by a neighbor as well as Angie's list. Spoke to Fred on the phone regarding concern with leaking toilets. Fred recommended Pete on his team to work with me since he was familar with older Kohler Rialto toilet. I had replaced complete inner workings of all three Kohler Rialtos in 2013 with another plumber with the appropriate Kohler upgrade kits. Additionally in August 2014 spoke to Kohler Service Center several times on the phone regarding leaking toliet condition. They felt there was a potential installation issue and as a courtesy sent several replacement parts. I had little confidence in the former plumbing company. Very glad that Fred Morrow was recommended to me. Pete arrived as scheduled. Introduced himself and I immediately felt at ease when he explained his simple diagnosis with a demonstration. The water pressure appeared to be too high causing too much water coming into the toilet. In other words was not necessarily just a flush valve issue. We went outside and checked water pressure which was double what it should be. Pete determined that the Water Regulator needed to be replaced. Showed me the old part, date, etc after removal. After installing new Water Regulator, installed new Kohler replacement Flush valves on two toilets and adjusted the fill valves on all 3 toilets. Pete advised that I could probably leave the installation work of the former plumber alone since the Water Regulator was the primary issue. However, per my conversations with Kohler, and their recommendations, since I had the replacement parts felt it was best to reinstall. Pete did everything respecting the clock and rechecked each toilet water line with precision. Well it has now been 10 days and the three toilets work fine. I mention this since I had been advised to change out these toilets and replace which clearly we now know thanks to Pete this was not necessary. Nobody ever mentioned the Water Regulator before. Water pressure was the first think Pete mentioned after he entered the home. Ironically last year we had a big main pipe blow out in a lower section of my street. This had impacted Water Regulators of neighbors in the immediate vicinity. Thank you Pete and Fred Morrow Plumbing for a quality job. After Pete finished we discussed some additional plumbing work I plan to do. Will definitely be calling Fred Morrow again to handle the job. Of course requesting Pete again!

Fred Morrow had been working with us for a few months unclogging the main lateral sewer line as it would get backed up. They rootered it the first time and then hydrojetted the line a few months later. It became evident that the 4" main line was at end of life. I decided on their recommendation that it was time to replace the sewer line. This was a big job and I had concerns, about time to complete and access to the driveways. The job took 7 days to complete. All Burbank City permits and inspections were completed to satisfaction of code requirements. The onsite guy Dave kept everything very tidy and organized. Residents had access to their garages during prescribed times. The sewers were always operational daily except when they had to cut it over to the new system which took a few hours. Over all experience was good. All workers on site were courteous and considerate of the residents. When the concrete was replaced, a very good contractor was hired to do the final pour. A lot of prep went into the concrete including a well built lattice of rebar to keep the new concrete structurally sound and strong. Over all a very positive experience for a project that could have easily gone side ways had there not been proper expertise and experience. Cost is considered about right for this type of project.

I called Fred Morrow Plumbing on Wednesday afternoon requesting for a service call regarding a leak. Stal, the plumbing arrived within the hour. He was very friendly and professional, and provided excellent service.

I called Fred Morrow Plumbing this morning and they fixed the problem this afternoon. Rated an "A" accordingly. That says it all.

Agreed to install two 4" clean-outs. After work was done learned the clean-out installed on the west side of the house was only 3". Jim said it was because they ran out of 4" parts on the truck and it "didn't matter". After the hydrojetting, the camera revealed the roots were cleared but the inside surface of the short cast iron section was crumbling and falling off in chunks as the camera went through. I'm now left unclear if that section even survived the process. I went with Fred Morrow, the most expensive option, hoping for a top-notch outcome. Very disappointed. - After reading the response I've downgraded my rating from "D" to "F". We agreed on 4" cleanouts but 3" was installed - that is very simple and easy to understand. The response goes in circles but doesn't address the issue. Not only did I not get the 4" cleanouts I paid for, but the 3" cleanout on the 4" line does even not meet code. I expressed my dissatisfaction at the time and also in an email which was never responded to. They did get my wife on the phone (at work, during the day) - did not offer to correct anything but rather used that as an opportunity to misleadingly quote her out-of-context. We were set to do the full video inspection of the line after the work was done, but once the black section about halfway in was on the screen and not looking right Jim pulled the camera out and that was the end of the inspection. Lastly, the response also misleads saying that the snaking of the lines twice was included in the 3000.00. One I paid separately for. Any benefit of the doubt I could give this company is now gone after reading their deliberately crafted and misleading response. If you are thinking to use this company, BE WARNED! They misled a customer (me) and continue trying to mislead and confuse Angie's list subscribers with their response - that's the pattern of a company that can't be trusted.

I called Monday morning requesting services. Scheduled 9:30 appointment for work. Tony and Jose arrived right on time. They understood what was requested and got right to work. They had everything they needed on the truck. When they left and hour later all work was done to my total satisfaction. They were friendly and professional in there demeanor. I highly recommend them for any plumbing job.

My bathroom faucet had a slow leak. At 9AM I called Fred Morrow plumbing. At 11 AM plumber Pete arrived. After inspection he determined that I needed a new internal part. He left to purchase this part. He returned within 45 minutes. The part was inserted and all is working well.

Late on July 7th, the waste line backed up, so I called Fred Morrow the next morning and they came out first thing on the 9th. Mike was about as professional a tradesman as I could possibly imagine. Explained things well, courteous, efficient, right on time ... I need to eventually have a 4" waste line access installed, but Mike did what he could and successfully cleared the clog. He even helped a bit with my washing machine hose that was giving me problems before leaving, though it wasn't part of the call. And how often do I see an invoice written up by a tradesmen where hand printing is more than legible? It was flawless. When I can afford installing the 4" access, I will go directly to Fred Morrow. I've had a number of experiences with them in recent years, and each/every time it's top-notch, professional service! (If all tradesmen could attain this performance level, there would be no need for an Angie's List.)

Plumber showed up on time. Did the work very efficiently; left areas very clean. Very friendly and professional.

GREAT! The company and phoned in advance to confirm that we were ready. The plumber (Jose) showed up on time. His work was neat and clean. The price was fair and the job done to our satisfaction. If you remember Ghostbuster's "Who ya gonna call?" From now on we are only calling Fred Morrow for all our plumbing needs. It's just great to use a pro!

We started our morning with one toilet clogged, a second toilet backed up, and water coming up through our shower drain. Mike from Fred Morrow came to the house within an hour or two of our call, and he snaked out the line all the way to the street. He determined that roots were the cause of the blockage, and he cleaned out the line. We have used Fred Morrow before, and they continue to be reliable and competent and reasonably priced. We recommend them without reservation.

I was happy with the results and the price. Seems to be priced better than other plumbers I've used in the past, and although I am not a judge in these matters, I believe the work was done well. I will be hiring Fred again for future work.

I called in the morning to get one bathroom unclogged. Dasa (nice phone person) gave me an estimate and scheduled someone to come out that afternoon between 3 and 5. She had to double-check the time availability and I told her I had another bathroom and could wait a day. She confirmed same day 3 - 5 p.m. Two men arrived approx 3:40?, checked the problem. Went right to work. Unclogged the bathroom, and as a preventive measure, unclogged any debris from 2nd bathroom at the same time. Benny and Sergio made a plumbing problem seem less aggravating. Benny was so nice he even put up with my dogs before I could get them out of the way. The German Shepherd jumped at him while he was on the ground. If he was scared at first he didn't show it. "Jake" proceeded to lick his face until I could get him back in the kitchen where I put up a barrier (which Jake jumped). The plumbers were so incredibly patient throughout. Customer Service is very important to me. They get an A+.

They came on time, and they were professional. Everything was pretty good, and I haven't had an issues since the service was provided.

I have no complaints with them at all. They do a really good job. They are quite busy though so it’s harder to get appointments. I have recommended them to others as well.

The kitchen sink backed up on a Thursday night. I called on Friday morning to see if I could schedule someone for that day. The very helpful woman (Dasha?) who schedules the plumbers told me that I could have had someone come fix the kitchen sink only that day or I could wait until Monday to have a different person come who could fix both the kitchen sink and the leaky faucet in the utility sink. I had had the leaky faucet for a long time and decided this would be a good time to get it fixed. I decided that I could live with the clogged kitchen sink for the weekend in order to get both sinks fixed on Monday. Since the minimum billing was for an hour, and Dasha thought that it was possible that the plumber could fix both in that time, I essentially saved the cost of an extra service call to get the leaky faucet fixed. I did call some other plumbers to see if I could get someone to fix both sinks that day, and no one had availability. The cost of getting them fixed over the weekend was significantly higher both with Fred Morrow and the other plumbers. In the end, I was glad that I decided to have someone from Fred Morrow come on Monday. I scheduled an appointment first thing on Monday, and the plumber came right on time. He fixed both sinks. He told me why the washers on the utility sink had been stripped and told me what I needed to do to fix the stems for that faucet. He was professional and fast, and I haven't had any problems with either sink since he worked on them about three weeks ago now.

We came home one night to find our water meter box was flooded and spilling out onto the street. We called a couple different plumbers but eventually decided on Fred Morrow Plumbing, they were the most friendly and helpful on the phone. They came out the next day and replaced our pipe that had a leak in it. They were very quick and friendly about it, we will definitely be using them again for our plumbing needs.

We called for help in the afternoon and they came first thing the next morning. They were punctual, quickly figured out what needed to be done, did everything with impressive speed, and were out the door almost before they arrived! Plus they were impeccably neat, friendly, polite and professional. Top notch from A to Z. The best experience we've ever had with a plumber.

Tony arrived on time and removed his shoes so he wouldn't track dirt into the house. He completed the work within an hour. He was professional and efficient.
