Used camera to show me cracks and unsafe spots in chimney.

Enrique, accompanied by a trainee, arrived on-time. He promptly went about his business, inspecting my fireplace. He pointed out some visual cracks and other minor flaws. He then inspected the chimney from the rooftop deck. When he returned downstairs, he showed me some photographs on his camera that he had taken of my chimney. He explained that, in his opinion, the chimney did not need to be swept at this time. It was relatively clean, and the issues that existed were minor and could wait until a future visit. He charged me $49 for the inspection - it would have been $135 with the cleaning included. I appreciated that he did not try to hard sell me. He was professional and polite throughout the process. As a bonus, several days later, he emailed me the photos he had taken of my fireplace and chimney. I will certainly hire Fiddler on the Roof again. Specifically, I will request Enrique's service.

They did an excellent job, this is the second time that I have used this company. Highly professional, excellent job and great price!!

They were very flexible in their scheduling and we had to change the date of service once with no problem due to a work commitment. The day of the service, they called 30 minutes prior to their arrival and arrived within the 2-hour window they had given me. Upon arriving, they placed booties over their shoes before entering the home, then solved the issue in about 30-seconds. Seems I forgot how to set the gas valve from pilot to run. They did not want to charge us for the service, but we insisted. So, they charged $49 rather than the quoted $69. They were very professional, polite and prompt. We will use them again should we need additional services.

They were at the home for 2 hours each of the 2 visits. The company sent 1 person per visit. So far, it's been good; we're still in the process of removing the creosote. I was very pleased with them; however, I've seen ads for cheaper prices.

The cost was so high I decided not to upgrade my fireplace. I won't use it and I have put something attractive in the fireplace box instead.

The technician showed me the details of inside of the chimney through the camera, and explained how the cleaning is done. Every thing was clean afterwards.

I purchased a coupon. Very professional. I mean, he told me what was wrong and what the next course or action could be. They were very clean. He brought a lot of cleaning gear. He laid down a lot of rugs so it wouldn't get the house dirty so its very professional. The chimney inspection was good.

Jorge was scheduled the same day as our call. Was able to come earlier than scheduled after calling first to confirm. He was very careful to put down drop clothes, thoroughly cleaned and masked the fireplace. He explained what he was going to do. Took pictures of the inside of the chimney before and after which he showed us and very thoroughly cleaned the chimney. He was quick, efficient, clean and friendly. His equipment was clean and in good working condition. We would use him again and would recommend him.

They were very prompt and the service was good. We are happy with the service. He was also very tidy.

They were very thorough but I just wanted a cleaning and they couldn't clean it because they said they would not do it without getting several other things done first. They said it was not safe for them to clean it.

I called to set up an appointment for a chimney inspection and they arrived in less than an hour. Ivan and Irving were very professional and knowledgeable. Upon inspecting the chimney, I was advised that the chimney was installed incorrectly. Ivan provided me with several options to remediate this issue. He did not try to sale me something I did not need. He provided advise sound advice. I would call Fiddler on the Roof again should I require chimney services in the future.

Frank was professional and efficient. He is very knowledgeable about fireplaces and made a few good recommendations for us. We really appreciate his patience in explaining the recommendations. We will follow up with Fiddler on The Roof for other services and as for Frank. Job well done!

We have used Fiddler on the Roof three times in the past month - two for our fireplace and most recently to clean the dryer vent of lint. All three times of the service was outstanding. Frank, who performed the services all three times, was knowledgeable, polite, clean, thorough and punctual. For us, Fiddler on the Roof is truly a professional and well-run organization.

Their guy Frank came out and was very professional, punctual, honest and took great pride in his work. Everything was done cleanly and swiftly. I've already passed them onto a neighbor and I will definitely call them again if I need more chimney work.

Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic. It was one of the best bargains I think that I have ever gotten. There were two guys that came out. I have two fireplaces, both are able to be either gas or wood-burning, and we have one set up as gas, and the other one's set up as wood-burning. The house is sixteen years old, and we are the original owners. I said it was finally time to check this out and make sure my chimneys are still safe. So they checked out the gas one and said that it was fine. I had wanted to close the flue on it so I wouldn't lose on heat and A/C, but the explained to me that I can't do that because of a law, or code in the area that says that because it's a gas fireplace, the flue has to be in a constant open position, as a safety mechanism, and I wouldn't have known otherwise. They told me that the chimney was in pristine condition. They explained that I should keep the attachment that turns it on and off out of the wall, and up high, so that it wouldn't accidentally get bumped by one of my dogs and leak gas into the house, which was extremely helpful. Then, they checked my wood-burning fireplace, and it turns out it has cracks in various places where the ceramic wrap-around has cracked, which is unsafe and needs to be replaced. I would not have known this otherwise. Then they checked the rest of the chimney going all the way up. They worked really hard to try and get that flue to close, and even went out to the truck to get more stuff to try and work on it. They said that when it was inserted, the contractor put it in wrong, and there was no way to get it free so that it went up and down without really damaging the inside of your chimney. I said to just leave it, and that it was fine. One of the guys climbed on the roof and did all of that, and the chimney was fine except for this area that needed to be replaced at the bottom. Also, while they were up there, (I have a two story house) they brought me some pictures of some missing roof tiles, and told me that I had a couple cracked and missing tiles, and might need a roofer. I would not have known. They cleaned everything up perfectly. They were fantastic. I wanted to have them come back and replace the insert in the chimney.

They work efficient and professional. Their employee Frank was excellent.

This was fine but the price was a little high. It ended up costing more than the $99.

They originally said would have to come in two separate visits to assess what was wrong, then a second visit to repair but the tech that came was excellent and completed the job in his first visit. Very nice and professional. Made sure to keep my condo clean etc. Would use again!

They were great. Very professional, knowledgable and fair. They did not try to sell me, just gave me advice & options.

On-time, clean and complete. When asked "how bad the creosote build-up is" the response was "Not needed now but something to consider next year." I appreciated his assessment and honesty. No mess, no hassle and the fireplace/chimney is ready to use. Definitely calling the Fiddler next time.
