Overall, I had no problems. They did a fine job.

Fiddler came out to do Level 1 inspection. They were professional and did not pressure or try to scare us into having work done. We had a leak in our stone facade over brick chimney, and another company told me I needed to do $$$$ of repairs that still may not fix the leak (because the stone was a porous kind). We were waiting until the rainy season passed and until we saved enough money, so we did not have the recommended work done at that time. Our chimney didn't have a spark arrester, so we installed on ourselves. When summer came, we decided to get a second opinion. So glad Angie's List led us to Fiddler! Enrique came out and said he didn't find anything major that was wrong, and also told us that often installing a spark arrester would stop the leaks. He gave us a bid for the work and didn't pressure us at all. Instead, he recommended we just wait until rainy season came again and see if the chimney was still leaking. Very wise and conservative advice! I was very pleased with Enrique's professionalism and honesty! We will definitely call them if we end up needing our chimney repaired, but I feel like they already saved me $$$$!

We purchased the Big Deal and the company called US to schedule. Marvin arrived on time, covered the area around the fireplaces with drop cloths, brought in his equipment and inspected the chimneys from top to bottom. He went up on our VERY steeply pitched and high Tudor roof to inspect from above and used a camera. He cleaned the hearths. He explained the process as he worked and it was quite educational. We are very impressed with the professionalism and service and will definitely use their services again.

Chimney inspector arrived on time, was courteous, knowledgeable, explained clearly what he was doing and how he inspected the chimney. Showed me a picture of the inside of the chimney; advised that it was in good condition and there was no need for an annual inspection, but that a 2 -3 year interval would be fine unless I burned soft, oily woods such as pine that tend to leave more residue. Not only cleaned the chimney, but left no residue or mess--very clean. I will call them again for my next chimney inspection and cleaning.

THE SERVICE REP FOR FIDDLER ON THE ROOF WAS VERY QUALIFIED. HE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND CAME WITH ALL THE NECESSARY TOOLS...............HE PROTECTED ALL THE FURNITURE AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. HIS NAME WAS ENRIQUE RODRIGUEZ. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF SHOULD BE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE HIM AS AN EMPLOYEE. WHEN WE HAVE OUR NEXT CLEANING WE WILL USE FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.

Very communicative and took great pains to keep my house clean. They did a great job for a fair price and I will hire them again to do my chimney next winter.

The technician arrived punctually and had all the drop cloths, ladders and other equipment necesesary to do a thorough job without creating any dirt or mess in the house. At my request he replaced the spark arrester (I asked for one that was up to code), and I was pleased that he had the correct part on his truck. He passed the brush down the chimney twice for an extra-thorough cleaning, and afterward showed me the results with a remote-control camera. The fireplace has never drawn better.

I bought the Big Deal for chimney sweeping. James arrived our our house promptly at the appointment. He took a quick look a noticed the type of chimney we have, advised us that it's not usable due to fire hazard and explained the reason. He carefully placed blankets on the floor around the fireplace area to protect the floor. Since our fireplace was deemed unusable, we paid additional fees to have James dispose of the fake wood and capped off the chimney so we wouldn't have to worry about little furry friends entering through the chimney. James' work was good and he did it happily. I was happy with the service received from A Fiddler on the Roof.

They sent a camera up the chimney to determine what needed repair. I need to get two more estimates before I decide who to use to do the actual repair. I will use them again in the future.

I took advantage of the Big Deal. The guy showed on time. He was very tidy and he made sure that the fire place was cleaned. I would use him in the future.

James called me to let me know he was on his way. Showed up and was pleasant. Gave some good information about the what we needed or didn't need on the chimney. All very professional.

. There was the Angies List Big Deal on them which I used.. They came, cleaned the chimney and they were very neat. They came on time and they gave me an estimate for repairs. They looked inside the chimney with the camera and they found that there was a crack in it and recommended us not to use it till it is repaired. They gave me an estimate which costs a lot of money. So we decided we will not use it any more. The guy was very professional, and very pleasant. He cleaned up really well in the carpet area and did not make any mess in the living room. He left everything really nice. He luckily gave us information that has saved us possibly bringing our house down. The rear handle in the fire box is cracked and there were missing rivets in the flue pipe connections. So we could have burned down our house. This is a very old house. The guy was professional, clean and pleasant. He was on time and I thought the service was reasonably priced. The quote was $2350 to install a flue system. To repair the fire box handle it was $350. So the total was $2700. We opted not to use our fire place any more. We hardly used it anyway and it was not a big deal. It was something which we did once in a while for fun. So we decided that we can live without it. I would use them in the future.

I was very pleased with the results and signed up for an annual cleaning with the company. The young man who performed the work also took time to give me recommendations (and explain why) on how to better care for the fireplace and chimney. He was professional and pleasant.

They were extremely professional. They were clean and neat. They were very knowledgeable. The cleanup was perfect; there was not one speck of chimney dust in the house.

James called half an hour before the appointment to say he was on the way. He arrived promptly and went straight to work. He taped off the fireplace and went to the roof and cleaned the inside of the chimney from top to bottom. He then came back to the living room and thoroughly vacuumed the resulting debris from the fireplace and walls of the firebox and chimney. I thought he was through but he then proceeded to do an thorough inspection of the firebox and the entire chimney with a lighted camera...I was able to view the condition of the bricks and tiles in my chimney on his computer monitor! My home is older and I never knew you should have an inspection every 20 years or so. After the inspection James asked if I'f like him to replace my chimney cap which had blown away some time ago. He had one on his truck, installed it and now I no longer will worry about sparks, rain, varmits, leaves, etc. James also provided me with a full written inspection of the chimney. My home is about 60 years old and the chimney was in surprisingly good shape for the age. There were some holes and one broken tile and he recommended flue grouting repair with smoke chamber coating and patching in the fire box. He offered a special price as an Angie's List member - membership does have its rewards. I will consider his recommendation and hopefully work it into the budget soon! James deserves an A++ for giving me a much needed course in "Chimneys for Dummies" as well as doing a FABULOUS cleaning job!.

They actually came out twice; they were here last week and the week before. They did a good job and did good work. I would use them again.
