Fiddler On The Roof Chimney Service

I wanted to make sure that our fireplace was in good working order for the remainder of the winter. I called Fiddler on the Roof based on the excellent reviews they had already received on Angie's List. The reviews are very much deserved. The technician showed up on time, did the inspection and let me know I didn't need a cleaning. He also spent some time showing me how to open and close the flue (turns out I'd been using the wrong lever and leaving it wide open). If you are looking for a chimney sweep, these are the folks to use.

I called regarding a special they had posted online for a cleaning and inspection. I had never used the fireplace since purchasing the home, so I wanted to make sure everything was good before using. He checked everything and said it was all good and did not require a cleaning, charging me less since the cleaning was not required.

I purchased the Big Deal and was very delighted with the service I received. The technician (Enrique Rodriguez) was on-time, knowledgeable and curious. He even adjusted the direction and air-flow setting for the gas burner free of charge. I was so impressed with the service I purchased a 2nd Big Deal for my mother and immediately called to scheudle an appointment and to specifically request Enrique.

They were prompt, very friendly and I'm very happy with the service and the result.

They were professional and knowledgable. The lady who answered the phone knows her trade, she is knowledgable. We were pleased they could come on Saturday. The man was right on time. He inspected the Chimney and was able to explain its condition. He also seems knowledgable. We paid $49.00 for an evaluation. The quote was a little too high for us. Thus we did not used their service.

The engineer arrived and serviced the chimney. He did a great job of using his camera to inspect the space and showed me the work that needed to be done on the camera screen that he brought with him. He then provided a clear estimate for the work and a guaranteed price for a year.

The are good. They did excellent service. They repaired some damage to the chimney.

Called the phone number provided on Angies List. I made contact with a person who said they do not do chimney service. Dont call this company for chimney service.

Marvin arrived on time to inspect the chimney. He installed a new chimney cap and even repaired two cracked concrete roof tiles damaged by the old cap that had been ripped loose by the winds and bounced down the roof tiles before falling into the pool.

The serviceman was prompt. He called a few minutes before he arrived to confirm the appointment. He brought tarps to protect the hearth and carpet. He used a ladder to access the chimney because I have a two story house. After cleaning the chimney he came inside with a vacuum to clean the residue from the chimney. He did an outstanding job.

I initially called to have the chimney cleaned and inspected. Jorge was prompt, polite and professional. He inspected and cleaned the chimney, and then cleaned up so well afterwards, that you would not know he had been here cleaning out years of soot. He showed me on camera the erosion of the chimney joints that needed to be fixed asap so that no trapped creosote would ignite a chimney fire, plus he showed me where the chimney cap and spark arrester should be, as it was missing. I rent a house so i called the landlady to inform her of the chimney repair needed. She approved and i requested Jorge to come back and do the repairs. He was again absolutely delightful, as was his assistant Omar, and they did a fantastic job which i saw for myself on camera. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with this company, and would use and trust no-one else.

The people from the company were friendly, professional, and knew what they were talking about. They did exactly what I needed them to do and they were quick to get it done. I'd most likely use them again in the future.

Fiddler on the Roof responded to my call for someone to come out and inspect my gas logs. We have never been able to use the gas logs in the fireplace, first because of a leak which was fixed, and then because we just didn't use it. It didn't seem to be ok. The receptionist that I spoke to very quickly gave me a date and time for the inspection. I had to take 1/2 day off work, but they were very prompt, and called within 15 to 20 minutes of their arrival. Enrique was the technician who did the inspection. He was extremely knowledgeable and as a prior home inspector was very helpful in telling me what to look for. He gave me a bid for their services, but then I also had to get my plumber out to reposition the gas valve. This was rather important as the valve was inside where the fire would be going. It was a good thing we never used it for that reason and for the fact that there was not enough clearance for the air and it was not up to code. I scheduled the plumber to come out which was an additional $600. This was of course well worth it. Then, I scheduled the rebuilding of the fireplace. This took a good part of the day. The technician who came to do this was very thorough, and he worked the entire four to five hours that he was here. He took out the back of the fireplace and enlarged it so that it would have a greater draw of air. Then he rebricked the back and painted it. He cleaned up when he was done. Then Enrique came out the next afternoon and was right on time and within an hour had finished the spark arrestor, repainted the back of the fireplace, laid the sand and the logs. It looked great!!! I was very pleased. Thank you for a job well done!!

It was a very informative visit and I learned considerably about th e"inner" workings of a fireplace and the chimeny. All my questios were answered with diagrams if needed as well as using the video camera to reinforce what the technician was explaining.

They were really good. They were really reliable. The roof put was very good. If somebody has a fireplace, in order to feed in air conditioning to replace the damper, they did an excellent job. When I called them about it, they had a guy come out, measure it and then he restored it. He cleaned up. The guy who worked here told me he took a test every two years with the state to make sure he was certified. Another company recommended them to me. Their price was good.

I called Fiddler on the Roof and was immediately welcomed by the person who answered. She was knowledgable and understood what needed to be repaired. She scheduled the repair within 2 days. About 45 minutes before the appointment, James called to check in and let us know he'd be there shortly. Arrived on time! He was pleasant, professional, informative. We feel safe, totally satisfied and ready to enjoy our fireplace for the holidays.

It was smooth, not messy and a pleasure to have someone in the home who knew what he was doing and wasn't trying to sell you what you really didn't need.

I played phone tag with Fiddler on the roof. Then he text me to get the address. I sent him the info but never heard back from him. I called again and left messages to see what was going on, but 4 days later still no reply. His voice mail says he is very busy. I guess too busy to work. Very unprofessional. Wouldn't hire him now if he said he would do the lowest priced job. No trust in him.

I had two chimneys that I wanted inspected and sweeped if necessary. The first was inspected and was found to be in good shape and did not need sweeping. The second was damaged as well as very dirty and was sweeped. They estimated the repair for the fireplace , advised on a few other items that needed attention and also quoted me an alternative to an open fireplace, which was an insert, at my request. I was happy with my outcome and am now investigating further insert quotes. I may end up going with them for that, too. I also used a coupon from Angie's List that they were happy to take.Chimney sweep and inspection.

It was great- they were fast and efficient and really as unobtrusive as a job of this sort could be.

I called them for a chimney sweep, because everytime we started a fire smoke would fill the room. George came out and was very polite and knowledgeable, he informed me of a better way to start a fire, for the size of the fireplace instead of piling logs together. He also said I didn't need a sweep because my chimney was clean. I was thankful for the honesty. After he climbed the roof to do the inspection, gave me some tips, I gave him $49.00 for the inspection (instead of close to $200 for a cleaning) and he was on his way! Thanks, guys!

An appointment was made to fit our schedule by a very polite person who explained exactly what the pricing and services would be. Enrique, the service person, was on time, professional, very knowledgeable and did a very clean job. He also advised us of some minor problems that either he could do or we could do ourselves; i.e., caulking, etc., which we elected to do ourselves. The cost ($159 with an Angie's List $10 discount ) was exactly what we were told it would be. We were very pleased with this technician and the company.

was dreading getting out chimneys swept and repaired; I had bad experiences in the past with other firms. Not only was the work done quickly and thoroughly the estimate was incredibly honest; I was expecting the 'bad news' that I had always been subjected to in years past. After Marvin did the video of the inside he pronounced the chimney in good shape; the other chimney did have problems but he returned a day later and fixed that one for about half of what I thought it was going to cost. I would recommend this company to everyone; what a pleasant surprise!
