Fiddler On The Roof Chimney Service

Purchased the service as an Angie's List "Big Deal." The service person arrived on time, was courteous, and professional. Advised that the chimney on the older house (built in 1950s) needed some sealing around the crown, where the cement had slight cracks. I asked if he could do that additional work for whatever additional cost it would be, but he said to call back during the summer when the company's schedule was less busy. I have not called back yet, but plan to.

Everything about the service was perfect. The price to do the suggested work to repair the lining noted after the video inspection seemed high, so I did not proceed with that work at the time.

The representative showed up on time and gave a thorough inspection and estimate of recommended repairs.

James arrived on time, and was friendly and professional. He explained exactly what he was going to do, and in what order. He provided us with a wealth of information regarding the "health" of our chimney. He also provided us with some options of how to remedy some of the trouble.He was not pushy, at all! That was appreciated! I would have no hesitation calling, or recommending Fiddler on the Roof! The experience was great from start to finish

One man came to perform the service and he got started immediately. He spent quite a bit of time sealing up the fireplace so that ashes would not enter the room and make a mess. He got up on the roof and did the job. When he was finished he cleaned it all up and then told me about some possible future repairs. He showed me a crack on the fireplace floor that needed attention. He was not pushy about the repairs, but wanted me to know what to expect in the future.

This is the second time I have used Fiddler on the Roof Chimney Service for 2 different homes. Both experiences were positive. The technicians were prompt and performed the service in a timely fashion with excellent clean-up. I would highly recommend Fiddler on the Roof Chimney Service.

They were professional and got the job done fast. They were friendly.

I have used this company twice. First, when I bought our home, we had them come to do an inspection and cleaning. The serviceman arrived and was pleasant, professional and very friendly. He cleaned the chimney reported no damage and that was that. Two years later, I called them again for a cleaning and inspection and they found damage so severe they told us it would be a serious fire hazard to use our fireplace without several thousands of dollars of repairs to the chimney. We were slightly suspect of the size of the damage appearing so suddenly and our neighbors had recently complained to us that they felt they had been conned by a different chimney company, paying for repairs they hadn't needed. In any case, we didn't have the money so so we didn't use our fireplace. A few months after that, they called us again offering to make the repairs of cheaper. Shortly thereafter, Angie's List published an article on chimney repair scams that followed our experience with this company to the letter. Now we just became suspect. Probably to no fault of this company who has been otherwise pleasant and professional. I don't know if our chimney legitimately has damage or not. Why? Because paying $200 for an inspection from a second or third company only to still not know whether they too are running the same scam just seems like more frustration than it's worth. If I'm cold, I'll wear another sweatshirt.

The service professional was very detailed and thorough. He explained everything he did and why it needed to be done. I would definately use them again. Great job!

They know what they are doing, and are very clean. They are family owned, and do excellent work. They also have a fair prices. They do not try and pressure you to do work that is not needed.

The service went well and they even told us one ofthe chimneys didn't need cleaning.

Excellent work all around. Would absolutely use them again. Only my second Angies list referral that i have used and it did not disappoint.

I was going to have them clean my chimney, but upon inspection they discovered that it was in a dangerous state of disrepair. Sadly, the original home inspector I used when I bought the house did not catch this. Even though I did not use Fiddler on the Roof for any additional services, they were definitely worth what I paid. The guy who came out was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Bravo guys!

Workman was punctual, professional and explained the repair clearly. It turned out that both chimneys were badly corroded and rusted and needed additional work. 30years of salt from the ocean will do that. He returned the next day with all necessary parts and the work was done quickly. He took pictures so I didn't have to go on roof to inspect work. He gave good advice about the safety and condition of the chimneys and fireplaces overall. He also cleaned out the dryer vents. The price wasn't cheap but neither was the work. I consider it fair given the professionalism and very good service. A pleasure to do business with and I'd definitely use again.

They were really good. I've also used them for other services, and I am very satisfied with the work they have done. They are very honest people.

As mentioned above, the technician arrived on time and completed the work within the time estimated. There were no problems whatsoever.

Enrique showed up, on time, clean and professional. He was very knowlegeable and did the job with no muss or fuss. He walked us thru the video inspection and took the time to really check things out. He explained our options for the future and was on his way. He even offerd to repair our chimney for us if he wins this next big lotto drawing ;) Can't think of a single thing to complain about.

Fireplace has an electric ignition switch which was not working. George (Jorge) came out and because the model number was not on unit he took picture to take to his boss and try to determine the manufacturer. George was prompt, on time and professional.
