Done in timely manner. Omar showed up on time, he was very professional and kept the area very clean. His second visit was equally professional. There was a little more to do than first expected, but he stayed until everything was done and did not change the price. We are using Fiddler for our chimney services from now on.

I scheduled the appointment the night before and James called me 30 mins prior to my appointment as requested. He was very professional and gave me a detailed inspection report as well as showed me pictures of the inside of my chimney. He also protected the entire area in front of the chimney before he cleaned it out, letting me know everything he was going to do before he did it. I would definitely recommend this company. Frank from Fiddler On The Roof came to do an overall inspection, as well as a cleaning. I put in a request for a first visit, and they were able to accommodate me. Frank called slightly after 8 to say he was on his way, and was at our home 20 minutes later. He was very friendly and professional, walking us through all the different points of inspection that he was going to do. We had a backdraft of smoke that would come into the home every time we lit a fire and he was very thorough in explaining why that was happening, and how to avoid that in the future. Frank was here for about an hour, and we couldn't be more pleased with the work he did. We will definitely be using this company for all our future fireplace needs!

The chimney cap blew off about 2 years ago in very strong winds and pieces of the crown came with it. Since the roof was a discontinued artificial shingle (American Chemwood) that couldn't be replaced, I was reluctant to have anyone walk on it to repair the chimney damage so we just stopped using the fireplace. About a week ago while sitting in the living room, we heard a thud in the fireplace. This week-end we started to smell a foul odor from the fireplace. The damper would not open all the way so I looked behind it with a digital inspection camera and saw animal fur and a piece of spark arrester screen. The speculation is that the rodent jumped off of the oak branches that had grown over the chimney and fell into the uncapped chimney pushing a screen down that was wedged inside - both landed on top of the closed damper, preventing it from opening all the way. I called this morning a little after 9 and talked to Reina, she said she would have someone out before noon. Enrique called at 10:30 and said that he was 1/2 hour away. Enrique and Ivan arrived at 11:00, they were very professional, friendly & capable. They walked very carefully on the roof to assess the needed repairs. Ivan was able to remove the rodent & screen from inside while Enrique was on the roof. They then repaired the crown, reset the chimney cap and trimmed the branches - there was no damage done to the roof. They cleaned up and were done by 11:45. I am very pleased to have this issue resolved so quickly & professionally - I shouldn't have waited so long to fix it! Lyneius Barber

The arrived on time and performed the inspection and cleaned the chimney. The chimney was very dirty and they cleaned it well. They gave us recommendations and estimate on repairs.

James came on time for the inspection of the fireplace. I told him what I wanted and he suggested the least expensive inspection for $50 which would be applied to any work needed to be done. He brought in tarps to cover the floor at the entrance to the attic. He returned after the inspection and showed me pictures of the firestop and the gaps as the house inspector showed me. I asked what it would cost and he told me $500 which was reasonable based on what the house inspector told me. James called 30 minutes before arriving and came on time for the main job. He had a helper. James then told me what tools they were using and how it would sound. They were up in the attic for approximately three or more hours, coming up and down to cut more wood or get other tools from the while it was raining. I could not be happier with the experience and the job. I liked James after speaking with him for just a few minutes. He was professional, informative and with a kindly friendliness. They worked without a break for over three hours, left no mess behind, especially since it was raining. He showed me pictures of the after work completed and three days latter I was e-mailed the pictures. If I had any more chimney work I hired this company without hesitation or reservation.

I called Fiddler on the Roof to have them inspect my gas and wood burning chimney and fireplace to see if I could make it a gas only fireplace. They contacted me immediately and scheduled an appointment. When they arrived (in a major storm on time) they did a preliminary inspection and told me that all I needed to do was install the gas logs and I would be set. They had a few options in their van so I selected the ones I wanted and within 30 minutes I had a fully functioning fireplace. The whole experience was so easy and pleasant, I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Fiddler On The Roof Chimney Service dismantled my wall furnace and cleaned it completely. James and Ivan where superb, very professional, explained what they going to do and did it!! James went on the roof, inspected the venting system and cleaned it. My wall furnace is working and I am so happy! James also inspected my fireplace and explained all options available to me, he didn't pressure me a sales pitch he simply explained what his needed and what I can do now and what I can do later. Needless, to say, in the near future I will call Fiddler On The Roof Chimney Service for my fireplace/chimney work.

We found Fiddler on the Roof on Angie's list. We called and they fit us in about a week later. The office personnel were wonderful to talk to. They said that James would be at the house between 8am and noon. James arrived and got right to work. My husband was not only impressed with manner in which he got the job done, but also his patience with questions we had for him and his patience with...our cat. Our cat who sat with James for nearly his entire visit and was also fascinated and impressed with the job. James was very careful to seal everything up with plastic so that the house didn't get covered in soot. We used our fireplace a few days later and we couldn't believe the difference between a clean and dirty fireplace. James and Fiddler did an great job.

I paid for inspection and chimney sweeping; have 3 fireplaces and one was to be cleaned; it is a wood stove insert. Cleaning was fine. However, the technician did not know about wood stoves and consistently gave me wrong information. He did not know what a catalytic combuster was. Told me that it was safe to use a gas fireplace that the gas company labeled as Do Not Use and a formal house inspector said was unsafe and ill-built. He dispsuted the licensed contractors' knowledge. He was young and thought he knew everything, but WAS quite pleasant; fortunately I have a free-standing wood stove in a cabin, so knew a thing or two. WAS going to get a price to revise the gas fireplace, but of course decided against it. He did not know the function of a wood stove gasket, and therefore was unable to replace, saying that buying gasket material is a special order. I'll just do it myself. Said that Fiddler on the Roof would contact me regarding gasket material and another catalytic combuster, but never heard anything back from them. He tried to sell me on a special coating for top of chimney - said there were cracks--but his lack of knowledge led me to believe that this is a "standard offering". Cleaning is fine but inspection, no way.

Very professional and courteous. One chimney was very old and hadn't been looked at in 7 years, and it had repairs done at that time. Frank was very knowledgeable and polite and explained the type of chimney structure and used a camera and monitor to inspect and show me all areas of concern I could easily see the gaps, missing filler etc. The newer chimney 25 years old was in very good shape after cleaning with the exception of the bottom panel being cracked and requiring replacement - no brainer. The total of all repairs to the older chimney will be $1700 but in the interest of safety and keeping the chimney functional as long as possible (a rental) we're opting to have all the work done. I can't comment on the price since I'm not knowledgable about typical costs, but it seems reasonable enough. Angies List reference got us 15% discount for the sweeps too.

We moved into a house with a broken chimney. We're not exactly sure what we are going to do about it yet, and options range from demolishing it to restoring it. We just had no idea what would need to be done or how much it would cost. A rep from Fiddler came over today and explained my options. It was very educational, just what I was looking for. They agreed to do a free estimate, since we really didn't need an inspection. We know the chimney is broken. These guys were really professional and courteous and obviously they know what they're doing. We will probably end up using this company when we do our repairs.

After being pleased with the professionalism & quality of workmanship when they cleaned my two chimneys, i scheduled them to repair, seal & refurbish both chimneys. My house was built in 1955 and although the craftsmanship is top notch, time, weather & natural disasters had caused some damage. After purchasing my home in 2012, i hadn't been able to use either fireplace due to some minor damage. Frank and his assistant came out on time and completed the job by days end, working non-stop. They were clean, quiet and extremely respectful of my home and pets. Frank thoroughly explained the work that had been done, showed me before and after photos, explained the 20 year warranty & answered my many questions. I couldn't be more pleased with this company.

Told us that a sweep wasn't needed so just performed an inspection. Awaiting estimates for the cost of potential repairs.

We took the highest rated chimney sweep company on Angie's list and used the 15% discount coupon. Omar came on time as planned. He was professional and spent about an hour. He had zero mess after he left. He suggested we don't wait 12 years to do this again and that Dura flame type logs are bad for the fireplace and real word is actually better. He took pictures inside the chimney and suggested we make safety repairs. He gave rough estimate of about $3,000. But no pressure to sign or move forward on the repairs. He suggested we clean the chimney every two years.

All went well, Omar from Fiddler came out earlier in the month to measue the chase cover. The chase cover had rusted out over the years and had a hole in it. After the chase cover was fabricated, he came back and removed the old chase cover, installed a new stainless rain cap/arrester and perform a Chimney sweep. Omar was very professional and did an outstanding job.

We had problems with our fireplace - there was a lot of smoke in the room whenever we lit the fireplace. Enrique Rodriguez from "Fiddler on the Roof" came and inspected both the fireplace and the chimney. He did a thorough inspection and let us know that no repairs were needed and the chimney did not need cleaning either. He ran a test and determined that the problem was due to cold air being trapped in the chimney. He told us on how to avoid this in the future. I appreciated his professionalism and the fact that he did not try to sell us any of their services that were not needed. We will call them next year to clean the chimney.
