i lost my keys. called a couple of locksmiths and everyone i called gave me a price of $50 and up which is open loop for anybody. CK said about $150 so I decided on CK. there was no price increase after he did the work. and it came to $157 because i wanted a couple of extra keys.

I had a very good experience. Seemed honset and fair with the price I was charged (I checked with a few others) overal very pleased. I would be happy to use CK Locksmith again

I used this company because I purchased an Angie's List "deal." I was very satisfied with the level of service and the professionalism of the locksmith. She was on time, explained everything that she did and even did some courtesy extras. I highly recommend this company.

Avi did a great job. he came on time, called before arriving. immediatly gave me an estimate for the services i asked for. i chose what i want to do and he proceeded. their prices are high but i had an angie's deal coupon.

I purchased the Angie's List "Big Deal" for ABC Locksmith and promptly called to schedule an appointment as I need a locksmith within the next 24 hours. I was informed that they won't be able to send someone until Monday at the earliest (today is Thursday). I have never heard of such a turnaround from a locksmith, and they told me that they were just really busy and apologized.I hung up and called two separate locksmiths (that I found on Yelp) and both told me that they could be at my place within two hours. I paid a little more but got the job done.Clearly ABC does not want to be doing these coupons and have given them lowest priority. If this is the caliber of vendor that Angie's list presents through its deals, then Angie's list truly holds no value.I will never use ABC and will be canceling my Angie's List membership.

I bought a "Big Deal" with them for $49 for $100 worth of work. All I needed was for a handle on my front door to be better secured, or if necessary replaced. They made an appointment quickly and the tech came on time. He estimated a cost of $650 to replace the front door handle, which was, I thought, ridiculous. I asked if there was any way to fix the current one, and he came up with drilling a hole in the bottom and then adding a bolt. It took him about 20 minutes. The cost was $285.00, and then he deducted $100, so I paid $185 plus $49 for 20 minutes of work, where basically what he did was drill a hole and screw in a bolt. The work looks great, the tech was very nice; I am just disappointed in the price. The way the "Big Deal" was worded, I thought it would cost much less.

When I called to make the appointment, the scheduler said she didn't know anything about the deal on Angie's list. I asked if I could use both coupons, and she said she knew nothing about them and that I would have to ask the locksmith when they called me. She told me not to buy anything until I talked to them. I went ahead and made the appointment.The coupon on Angie's List said that I could get $75 in services for $35. It also said additional rekeys were $12. The locksmith never called ahead of time like the scheduler said they would. Instead, they showed up (on time). I told her about my deal on Angie's List and she said all she would do was give me the service call for free. She charged me $20 per lock for the rekey (a total of $200) and refused to honor the price online. I tried negotiating with her, but it didn't work. I had already taken the day off work for the job, so I just went ahead and had her do it. Today I noticed on my front door that the screws holding the lockset together are wrong. I have a fairly expensive oil-rubbed bronze set and it now has regular silver screws in it. I checked my other locks (same brand and finish) and all of those screws, and they are all bronze colored. So now on top of being overcharged, the locksmith lost my screws and I'm going to have to hunt down some new ones. :( I definitely would not recommend this company.

We weren’t happy with them at all. Their final price was incredibly high, and the guy who came out to our home was very aggressive with my husband.

Everything went well. They did the job as expected.

They replaced a couple locks. I was disappointed by the final cost, which ended up being over $500.00. I didn’t shop around beforehand, so I can’t compare their price to anyone else. Nonetheless, the cost seemed excessive. The work was done well, but I probably wouldn’t use their service again.

the locksmith arrived. told him what i wanted and he gave me an estimate. the estimate was very high, so i didn't go through with it. i lost the $29.00 which i paid angie's list in advance.

Avi called before he arrived and gave me and exact time of arrival. He was on time! Then he explained the type of lock I had on the door pros and cons. He stated he was not sure if he could fix the problem and if not he suggested various types of locks I could replace the broken one with. Also he looked at another door lock problem and was immediately able to identify the problem. He gave me an estimate for each before he began work. Forunately for me he was able to repair the lock quickly and efficiently (my dogs didn't even bark, LOL).

Not sure if it was ABC or their subcontractor, Alert Lock & Key -- but nonetheless the man who arrived, Avi, was very professional and knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. The on-location service call is $65 whether they perform the work or not. I chose to have them perform the work. He replaced the faulty deadbolt assembly, two new keys included. Well worth it and it was fast, about a half hour.

The company sent out a locksmith within an hour of my non-emergency call. The service to remove a broken key from my lock took less than five minutes to perform. This was part of an Angie's Big Deal. I felt the overall service was good, but do feel it was overpriced. I paid $50 over the original $75 value of the deal for a total of $85 ($35 plus $50) for $125 worth of service. I was disappointed at the high fee, but my bigger complaint is with Angie's List for not being clearer about what kind of service I would get for my $35 for $75 worth of service. Upon calling ABC again to register my dissatisfaction, they offered to refund the additional $50. An offer I accepted. The "How much did you spend?" field above reflects the original cost before the refund as this is what it would normally cost based on Angie's Big Deal plus the additional fee -after the refund, I paid a total of $35. (This is a revised review based on the fact that ABC Locksmiths was responsive to my complaint and refunded me the additional fee.)

No service at 1:30am for 24 hour service

AFTER MOVING IN I CALLED AND NICK CAME OUT TO RE-KEY MY LOCKS. HE IS A VERY HIGH PRESSURE SALESMAN AND AFTER NON-STOP SALES TALK, CONVINCED US TO GET NEW EXPENSIVE LOCKS WHEN A RE-KEY WOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT. AFTER REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE NEW LOCKS, WE DISCOVERED THE LOCKS DID NOT MATCH OUR DOOR KNOBS ON MOST OF THE DOORS. HE SHOWED US THE MATCH ON ONLY ONE DOOR (THAT ONE MATCHED). HE AND HIS HELPER (LEO) TOOK OUR OLD LOCKS WITHOUT ASKING AND DISPOSED OF THEM. WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE COLOR MATCH, THEY INSISTED THAT YOU COULD NOT MATCH THE COLOR WITH THAT BRAND. AFTER SHOPPING ON MY OWN I FOUND THE MATCH AND THEY WERE KIND ENOUGH TO CHARGE ME $150.00 TO REINSTALL! THE AGONY OF MOVING AND ALL THE DISTRACTIONS THAT COME WITH IT DO NOT NEED TO BE AGGRAVATED BY HIGH PRESSURE SALESMEN AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

DID A DECENT JOB, CHARGED ME WAY TOO MUCH FOR SIMPLY CHANGING THE LOCKS OF MY FRONT AND SIDE DOORS WITH NEW LOCKS, DOOR HANDLES, AND HARDWARE PURCHASED AS A SET AT LOWES.

SERVICE WAS PROMPT, WITHIN 1 HOUR OF WHEN I CALLED. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS POLITE, KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT NUMEROUS TYPES OF FRONT DOOR LOCKS. HE INSTALLED THE NEW LOCK WITHIN 1 HOUR, AND LEFT THE WORK SPACE VERY CLEAN.
