Description of Work: I am a return customer for this business. I only use-top rated, professional, courteous, and legit companies which are A-rated on Angies List. Barak does not just live up to my expectations, but surpasses them. He shows up on time, makes excellent suggestions which have always saved me money, and performs the work perfectly. This time I needed my new house re-keyed. Barak did the job, made me a few extra keys at no charge, offered suggestions on improving security, and when he was done, he left the job-site perfectly clean. I wish more people were they good.

He changed the keys out for 8 doors, changed the lock on the mailbox and tuned up all the locks in the house at no extra charge (we have a lot of doors so this was great). All the doors and locks work as intended now. Will call them next time.

+ -1 moreOutstanding experience! I called on a Friday afternoon. He said he would be over in 10 minutes -- he was actually here is less time than that. He did a great job with my lock issue. He replaced the lock and coded it to work with the other lock on the door's key. Per the Angie's list offer he also did a bunch of free keys. So often I feel like I have to fight to get the Angie's List offer -- usually getting the line that its already priced in . . . . . . Barak also gave me a few great suggestions on getting replacement keys and a strategy to keep a spare where you can find it -- all really fantastic. It turns out he is a neighboe here in the Magnolia Wood section of Sherman Oaks --- even better. All-in-all an extreme good experience, I will call Barak again and recommend him to friends. It is so refreshing to get a service provider who offers a fair price and they delievers way more than promised at the same price.

Description of Work: I was having a terrible time installing a deadbolt I purchased at Home Depot. I called Barak and he came within half an hour, even though it was late evening. He installed the lock, fixed another lock, and rekeyed the locks so I could use the same key. He was friendly, polite, and completely professional. I will definitely use him again.

+ -1 moreWhat can I say – these guys are FANTASTIC. On time, responsive, and VERY affordable. And beyond that, they were genuinely nice. If you need a locksmith or anything done with a key or a lock, if you don’t use these guys you are missing out and paying more than you have to. The best I have ever worked with. They actually suggested a way for my different units to access a front gate with their own keys - so the tenants didnt have to have seperate keys for the gate - they charged e $5 for that! Fantastic, and a huge help to my tenants.

On the day of service, he arrived when expected and did an above-and-beyond job. We hired him to do a re-key (which went smoothly) on the home we just purchased and in addition to that, he went thru the house and outside and gave us some thoughts on safety and security enhancements as a courtesy. While going thru the house we happened to mention something we noted as a concern and he had recommendations for how to resolve the issue and also was kind enough to text later that afternoon with a recommendation for a trusted service provider. On a personal level, we found Barak to be kind and personable ... would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and plan to use him again when we make some lock-related upgrades to our new home.

When he went to re-key the sliding glass doors, he realized that he needed to get a different part. He left and came back an hour later with the part,no extra charge. + -1 moreWas told the locksmith would be there between 3 pm and 4 pm, and I told them it had to be more towards 3 pm because I had to go somewhere. Was then told they would be there at 3:30 pm. Guy came late at 4:15 pm and sure enough we couldn't get the necessary lock to finish the job because we ran out of time. They came back the following day to finish the job and charged me a "service charge" for coming back. When I complained about the service charge, rightfully saying if they were on time the previous day we would not need to have them come back, they told me they can get rid of the service charge but then they started adding up other charges that were even more expensive than the service charge! Also, their over the phone quote was much lower than the actual cost of the job, just like the previous post said -- they seem to freely add up extra costs when they are at the site. To top it all off the next day's appointment was at noon but they showed up late again at 12:30. What a bunch of clowns.
Description of Work: Had to rekey two exterior locks and two interior locks.

+ -1 moreThis morning our smart key lock all of a sudden stopped working. I called this one locksmith that was highly rated and he was nice but he wasn't able to make it. In a way I'm glad he couldn't make it because we wouldn't have met Barak. Barak was extremely friendly over the phone and did every thing possible to come fix our lock. He called me to let me know that he was able to arrive earlier than expected. He was very punctual, he was extremely personable and I loved the fact that he explained what he was going to do and provided us with options to fit our budget. I was amazed at how quickly he fixed our deadbolt . I would hire him again in a heart beat for his professionalism and for his refreshing personality. + -1 moreWe just moved into a new house and wanted the doors to be re-keyed for security. Barak showed up on time and went above and beyond our expectations. He worked fast and went over what he was doing every step of the way. He also reprogrammed our garage door clicker and gave us advice on security options for our sliding glass door. He also suggested a new lock for the front door since the existing one was a "light duty" version that was not appropriate for a single lock main door. We will call him again in the next couple of months to install a new stronger lock for the front door.
Description of Work: Barak re-keyed two doors and provided 6 keys (2 regular keys for the front door, two "Do Not Duplicate" keys for the front door, and two keys for the side door).

Barak came over really quick and right away went over door by door to look at our options to make my security better. One of my doors needed some adjustment and another one didn't have a key, Barak locksmith skills were proven to be excellent and my new home feel much more secure.
