Family run nursery. I have been shopping here for decades as have my predecessors. Always outstanding service, good selection, excellent advice which also includes free plant care sheets to take home. Fair pricing and flowers, herbs, roses and shrub plants are a very high quality and LAST.

I visited Sego twice before finally purchasing. Each time, I was quickly helped by members of the family that own the nursery. They proved to be VERY knowledgable, and honest in all their dealings with me, sometimes with the result that I didn't buy anything! I initially went thinking I would be buying CA Pepper Trees, but they talked me out of that (given some undesirable traits of the tree). They also walked me through every hedge plant they had, helping me to finally decide on the Podocarpus plants. When I came back the last itme, they again talked me out of buying a drip sprinkler system right away, until I'd planned the rest of the garden - again, I was impressed at how honest they were here, as I could easily have spent $100 on the wrong thing and been none the wiser. They loaded my truck with 12 beautiful plants, and gave me great advice on planting. The only drawback I can see if that they don't do delivery anymore, so I had to rent a truck from UHaul. That said, it was only an additional $40, so given the fact that Sego was already about 25-40% cheaper than other nurseries I'd called (Armstrong...), I still ended up ahead!

Sego Nursery Inc. is a family owned business who really knows what they are doing. If I was a person who consistently bought flowers I would be in there all the time. They remember who you are, the last things you bought, and are very helpful. An example of their helpfulness was when I was having problems with a plant not filling in correctly. They suggested a certain product that ended up solving my problems. They are just wonderful.
