I was initially hesitant to do ANY custom work because I thought it would be a painful experience. I'm so glad I called this company! Michael gave me a clear, comprehensive and fair quote. The process was easy, the work was done on time and the my entertainment center looks truly beautiful. Could not recommend more!

The cabinet was made of unusual hollow doors, and it really took some doing to cut them a few inches shorter and finish them off nicely. Redmond Woodworks' (Michael Redmond) was patient and careful in removing the cabinet from our older kitchen, and kept me informed about when the work would be completed, and equally careful and professional about re-installing the cabinet. This was not a big job, but we still got great service.

After I contacted Michael Redmond he promptly came to measure the space for the cabinet, sent drawings and estimate the next day and asked for the exact TV brand/model to be super precise with the measurement for the TV space. Michael delivered a high quality cabinet that perfectly fits the space and looks attractive. We were given a choice for the top molding and Michael and his co-worker took the time to accurately install our TV and loudspeaker when they put the cabinet together. We were very pleased with his work and service!

Michael and Scott did a terrific job. Michael came to our home without charge to evaluate the project. He improved upon my design on the spot and offered to install the tv wall mount and the tv as part of the job. He offered a schedule that fit my needs just right: the new tv was delivered on a Friday and the install was set for the following Monday. Michael and Scott showed up on time for the install and finished in less time than estimated. The insert they created does the job perfectly. They were a pleasure to work with.

I hired Redmond Woodworks for two projects, construction of an interior door between my living room and den and construction of a built in bookcase around a closet door in my den. Both the door and the bookcase turned out beautifully and from start to finish I could not have been happier with my experience. Michael worked on both projects with his associate Scott and they arrived punctually, paid close attention to detail, cleaned up every speck of dust and were very nice to work with. Really appreciated the extra time they took to create designs that met my needs and fit into the existing architecture of my condo (historic building). The door matches the other doors in my unit and has a beautiful transom window above it to let light in through the rooms. They had some challenges with getting materials into my building (parking is difficult) and took all the obstacles in stride. I plan to hire Michael again for construction of another cabinet and eventually a kitchen remodel. I cannot recommend him highly enough for the quality of his work and one of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor.

Michael Redmond is fair, honorable and a craftsman. He pays close attention to detail, to the customer’s needs, budget and concerns. I have had contractors in my home before and they may have completed the job, but my house was filthy. Not this time. He contained the dust to the kitchen, protected the flooring, and cleaned up after the job was completed.

Michael Redmond instantly figured out what was wrong, explained it to me clearly, and solved it within a day. He was able to discuss the physics of the hinges, how they worked, and why they needed to be replaced in terms I could readily understand. In short, he was the cabinet geek I needed. If you need specialized cabinetry expertise, he's your man. After almost a year of frustration, I was delighted to find him and would hire him again in a heartbeat. Working in a tight space, Mr. Redmond secured the loose side and remounted the drawer slides so that everything is working very well. It was not a "standard" job. Redmond used ingenuity and patience to get the work done. He was pleasant to talk to during his work. He quoted me a reasonable hourly rate and then didn't want to charge me for all the time he spent. I pointed out that an agreement is an agreement and wanted to honor my part of the deal.

Overall very good. Experienced some delays, but this was not an issue for me. It was somewhat expected since it was a small job.

Beautifully. Michael spent a substantial amount of time meeting with us in person and corresponding on email to make sure he got the design precisely right. He created a beautiful piece with lots of thoughtful details. In addition, he was creative in helping us find solutions to the issues we were trying to address with the built-in. His work was professional, beautifully constructed, with an amazing attention to detail. We are having him build us a bar for our dining room next.

I came across Michael via CL and I'm bummed I didn't find him sooner! After dealing with other contractors who had poor communication and outrageous prices, it was a blessing to find Michael! He was able to work around my schedule and even worked over a holiday weekend. Try finding that level of service with a big company! He showed up on time, every time and was always quick to answer my calls and texts. When it came to cabinets, he was meticulous in preparation to ensure everything was dead level. The granite installer even commented how level everything was! That's not any easy task with a 30 yr old house! The project was finished on time and with no additional fees, even though he did a couple other tasks for me. Additionally, he explained everything, which I appreciated as I am an avid DIYer. Plus, he's just an all around nice guy! (He does not smoke and I don't think I saw him take a break) Bottom line: if you have cabinets that you need installed, call Michael NOW! Do it and you will be happy. Forget dealing with BLowes or Home Dontknow, they only care about getting the job done in the cheapest and quickest way. I had done a kitchen with HD years ago and wouldn't wish that experience on anyone!

Mr. Redmond's workmanship and abilities are exceptional. I am very pleased with the work, finish, and attention to detail. I have an older home with great woodwork and wanted craftsmanship to match the quality of it. His work easily met my high expectations. For woodworking, I have no hesitations recommending his company.

I went to Michael Redmond to have him construct an entertainment center. He was very patient and asked me detailed questions to determine what I wanted and my what expectations were. He then walked me thru different design and material options to find out what best suited my needs. He sketched out several designs to make sure I would be pleased with the finished product and provided samples of the types of wood I could choose from. Since I know nothing about building an entertainment center and only had vague ideas on what I wanted, I was very pleased to have someone so hands on and who really took a vested interest in making sure that I was happy with the finished product. He finished it within the time frame/ budget we had discussed and I couldn't be more happy with my entertainment center. It is a beautiful piece, built from gorgeous cherry wood and it suits my needs perfectly. I would definitely recommend him and would use him again for other custom woodwork projects.

Everything came out beautifully and on time. He worked with me to find the exact hardware for the armoire, and took great pains to make sure the wood grain matched on all of the pieces. This furniture will stand the test of time!
