12/11/2020 The first time L K Plumbing came to our neighbors next door to fix their kitchen sink. The plumber broke our sink pipe while fixing the neighbors' pipe which flooded our kitchen. Unfortunately, the week after we scheduled an appointment to fix our leaking sink in the bathroom. We waited for them to come for two weeks without having hot water (for TWO WEEKS). When the scheduled time came, no one showed up or tried to reach us. When we called the company to find out what's going on they accused us of lying and not letting the plumber come in and fix the sink. The company and the staff are very unprofessional. Would not recommend. Deal with L K Plumbing at your own risk.

Description of Work: No problems with L K Plumbing at all. Their Technician was on time, friendly and very helpful. Gave me some hints and tips to save me money. Even drove to Home Depot to get the part that was needed right then and there.

Description of Work: They had fixed a leak in the shower earlier in the month and told me that I needed a new shower head. I bought one and they installed it. The plumber was prompt, polite, and skillful. He made sure that everything worked properly before he left and I have had no trouble since.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...... Apparently I dealt directly with the owner.....Eddie. I called the company yesterday to see when someone could come take a look at my gas heater that stopped working. The answering service (ugh) said someone would call me back to set an appointment. I got a call back in a reasonable time asking if I would be home the next day. I was told that I would get another call back to confirm the time. At 1pm the next day I still had not received a time, so my landlord called. I was then called by Eddie saying he would be right over. It took him 20 minutes. When he arrived he was on his cell phone talking to someone and telling them how stressed out he was. (nice) I could hear him through the door as he was talking on his cell phone in the hallway, so I'm sure all of the tenants heard his conversation. When he was done, he came in and I explained to him that my gas heater stopped working. He removed the cover, eyed it for less than 5 seconds, replaced it, and then informed me that the entire unit would need to be replaced!! NO, he did NOT try to light the pilot, or examine the unit AT ALL. He then moved on to my bathroom sink that had a slow drain. I called my landlord to tell her what he did as he rapidly threw my bathroom mat in the hallway. He must of overheard me tell the landlord that he didn't even try to light the pilot because he THEN decided to go back to inspect the gas heater. ( Clearly he thought he was dealing with some stupid woman who was going to let him take advantage of my landlord who is a sick elderly woman) I asked him why he was going to look at it again, since he already stated that it needed to be replaced. Then he proceeded to get aggressive and argumentative to the point that I told him to get out of my apartment!! I told him I was going to notify the owner and he proudly told me he was the owner. Lovely. (How the h*** do these kind of people make it in the business world? He refused to leave until he snaked my sink despite me telling him multiple times. I had to threaten him that I would call 911 if he didn't leave in 30 seconds. (time to get his belongings together) Yes, I went there. He left with 2 seconds to spare. Then he goes to the landlord to blame me! He told the landlord that I told HIM the unit needed to be replaced. UH....even IF that were true....WHO is the professional here? Shouldn't he have TRIED to fix the gas heater before taking a tenants word that the unit needed to be replaced. Which, by the way, I DID not state. This guy should not be in business with the way he behaved and clearly he has no issue with taking advantage of vulnerable people. Well, he won't be back in this apartment ever again!
Description of Work: He was supposed to inspect my gas heater to determine whether it was repairable or if it needed to be replaced. THAT, did not go as planned, because apparently, he could just GLANCE at it for 5 seconds and determine it needed to be replaced, without even trying to light the pilot! Fixing a slow drain in the bathroom sink took about 3-5 minutes....I will find out how much he billed my landlord for that and report back.

We have worked for the owner of this apartment building (not this Tenant) for approx. 5 years. We have never once had any issues with her or other tenants. We have been in buisness for over 30 years by referrals only - no advertisement at all, only word of mouth. The tenant/member who wrote this must not have anything better to do with her time than make false accusations. For starters, no one was on the phone tlaking about being stressed out. We were on the phone with a pipe manufacturer from back east that just returned the call about how much psi can a certain pipe withstand. If she translates that into "being stressed out" then that tells you a lot. When we arrived to her unit, she had said "somebody was out and this is an old unit and needs to be repalced". Keep in mind we have already repalced several units in this building in the past. The owner was not home so we could not verify what she, the owner not the tenant wanted. At the same time she was on the phone with the onsite manager talking about her slow drain, so without wasting anyone time we proceded to take a look at that then snake it out. While snaking the line the tenant stated saying to leave her unit or she was calling 911, The machine cable was in the line so quickly we removed it, clean up the sink and left. She calimed that the tech there "sceamed at her". That same take had laryngitis that day with no voice at all!!This woman must have had some screws loose that day.

It turned out very well. Everything was done well. If there was any problem, getting him back to address it was not difficult.
Description of Work: We redid our kitchen and he installed all of the plumbing. It was gutted so he started from scratch. I have continued to use him since, most recently he was out for something fairly minor.
