He was very friendly and professional in the initial phases of the project. some of his crew were high quality and for the most part things were pregressing according to expectations. The problem I had, and why I eventually replaced him was that the change orders were priced totally differently than the original bid. His bid, which was quite competitive, didnt include any of the small stuff that was clearly expected of the job. It was clear this was how he operated. Get the job and then start charging for "extras". I finally snapped when I got a change order that had pricing for the same 1 gallon, 5 gallon, 15 gallon, 24" and 36" box plants from a previous order but the pricing was 50% more. I am talking about the exact same plants. He offered to correct it, but it was symtomatic of what was going on in all the billing...this was just a very specific example that was incontravertable.
Description of Work: I hired Brian Diamond to do the hardscape when I was builing my house.

It is about a $125000 contract. They haven't completed the job yet, we are still in process. They are there everyday; they've been there for months building fences and doing all the stone works. We've had four stonemasons working every day for six weeks and they're about half done with the stones. There are other guys doing fences, paths and planting. So, it is kind of a big job.
Description of Work: We are landscaping this entire thing so he is taking out trees, taking out shrubberies and doing all the hardscaping. He is doing all the low level lighting, tremendous amount of stone work for patios, pool coping and steps. He is putting in trees, shrubs, paths and fencing.
