Fantastic. Marc Wilmers is a consummate professional. He replaced by entire upstairs and downstairs heating and air conditioning systems this week. It was a large job so I obtained a few bids for the work. Marc's bid was extremely competitive, and his proposal was very clearly written and more comprehensive than the other bids. Marc brought a team of 8 guys to do the work. They were very professional and courteous. I was impressed how efficient they were in their use of time. They arrived at 7 am. By 8 am they had disconnected all the old equipment on my roof and in my garage. A truck arrived to haul away the old equipment by 8 am and shortly thereafter a huge crane arrived. The crane lifted the old equipment off the roof and placed it into the haul away truck. Then the crane lifted the new equipment onto the roof. Then the team of 8 went to work connecting and adjusting the new equipment. Marc and his team finished all the work by 1:30 pm!! My family is extremely pleased with the new system and we are excited about the energy savings we can expect from replacing our 15 year old system. I highly recommend Marc Wilmers Heating & Air!

Marc and his team did an outstanding job for a very fair price. The team installed a complete HVAC system in basically half of a day with only smaller items leftover to accommodate the schedule of one of their experts. I would definitely recommend Marc to anyone who does not want to be oversold on HVAC needs and sold only what is necessary to solve to your needs, not the contractors!

I had four bids including Marc, and what made him stand out was his professionalism and exceptional customer service. He was punctual, explained everything making sure I understood his product, what to expect, and the pros and cons of certain equipment. He was very upfront and did not try to sell me additional services I did not need like the other bids, and his price quote is very reasonable. The other bids quoted me a much high price with the same service. On installation day, his team was exactly on time, actually came 10 minutes early. His whole team was very professional, provided good quality of service. I appreciated the fact that they all worked as a team. I had the electrician work the same day, and both Marc and my electrician were able to coordinate and work together smoothly. My house has very limited space on both sides of the house, and Marc was able to coordinate his team to lift the HUGE compressor to the back yard without damaging anything. His team not only were professional, but noticed a safety issue in the house and fixed it immediately. I thought the filter would be a tight fit and it looked as though another closet drawer would have to be removed, but they were able to adjust the opening without compromising the drawer space. Marc was at the site all day till the end. He actually finished sooner then I expected, he told me two days and it took only one day to complete. I would highly recommend Marc Wilmers for any of your AC/heating needs. I am very happy with Marc Wilmer and his team. Marc has a great personality, honest, has good work ethics, and is overall exceptional!

Ever since we moved into this house, we've dreamt of relocating the AC compressor. The builder placed it in a ridiculous location - right under the master bedroom deck, which is the only natural place to put a patio set. The old, loud AC would actually scare unsuspecting guests and there was no way to enjoy the outdoors if that thing was on. It was an old beast anyway. It had a good run of 15 years. Time for something newer, quieter, and more efficient. There was an ideal spot for the new compressor. Right next to the pool equipment along a mostly unused side yard. This puts it outside the dining room window, where we spend far less time. Ideal for the yard, but not so much electrical. The panel is on the opposite side of the house. I dreaded even getting estimates, I knew this was not going to be an easy or cheap project. A neighbor referred me to Marc. I also did some on-line research and I could find nothing but good reviews. I also called two other highly recommended contractors to get estimates. Contractor #1 came in at 12k, with basic quality single-stage equipment. Contractor #2 came in at 12k WITHOUT electrical work, for higher quality two-stage equipment (97% furnace) Marc gave me the option of 6700 for a 14.5 seer system, or 8600 for a 16 seer 2 stage Rheem system. Marc felt that the 14.5 seer system was the best "Bang for the buck", but compared to the other two contractors, I was able to both get a GREAT system AND a fantastic price, so I went for the 16 seer 2 stage. He put me on his schedule for the following week and told me to be ready for him Thursday at 7am. At 6:50am guys started arriving with the equipment. They were ready to go! By 7:30 there was an army of guys here attacking the old units and prepping the new ones. A sub-contracted, licensed electrician and his assistant were also assessing the challenge of getting power to the new location. The group worked together quickly to overcome several challenges. Access to get the new line-set into the attic was extremely tight, and Marc also called in some extra help to core a hole thorough a cinderblock wall. The electrician didn't catch any breaks. The old unit's wiring was not in the attic, he had to run new wiring all the way from the panel, up to the 2nd floor attic, across the attic, and back down the other side of the house. Despite all of these obstacles, by 1pm, the whole unit was connected, and the electrician had just completed the circuit. It was time to power it up! Marc invited me to come listen to the inaugural cycle-up of the new compressor. This new system is barely audible even when standing in front of it. From inside the house, there is no noise at all. The new variable speed furance also gently starts and stops. On its second cooling stage, there was a bit of a racket coming from the intake grille. The new system moves more air, but my old grille resonated with the new higher airflow. Marc promised to replace it later in the week. With such a comparatively low estimate, I wondered just how badly my bill would be "adjusted" upwards with the reality of how difficult this was to pull off had set in. It came time to pay, Marc just asked me for what he quoted! I gave the workers some extra, and Marc insisted that I give it to them directly. And Marc's guy came to replace the grate the next day as promised. I waffled for a bit about the "professionalism" grade. Marc doesn't like to waste time on formalities like detailed, written estimates. He's more "rock 'n roll". I had to ask for the details of exactly what I was buying which turned out to be excellent equipment. Let me be clear though, he is very prompt, and always does exactly what he says he's going to do. At the end of the day he does not try to sell you more than you need, and makes choices that are very much in your best interests. He's got a great crew of conscientious people working for him and I think integrity is worth a lot more than "professionalism". I don't think he could have possibly chosen a better system for me. The finishing work is left to me (painting conduits, patching holes). That's typical and is OK with me, especially for the price paid.
Description of Work: Installed a new 2-stage, 5 ton 16 SEER air conditioner system and 80% furnace into the attic. The compressor was relocated to the other side of the house using an exterior line-set cover, and new electrical was run from the panel to power it at the new location.
