+ -1 moreThey only have 1 person that services this zip code so Fantastic Fan Co sent out a sub-contractor. The sub-contractor is not on Angie's List. The man that showed up seemed to have an attitude and I felt insulted. He did however fix the fan and also gave me an Angie's List discount.
Description of Work: They fixed the motor in my Casablanca fan.

Description of Work: Casablanca fans are great...except when they need repair. This company took the job. It took a while because parts had to be ordered. But, once they arrived, the job was completed to our satisfaction. Very skilled, knowledgeable and professional.

Description of Work: Ray K. of Fantastic Fans is competent and honest -- exactly what we were hoping for. We have high ceilings in most of our house. We installed two Casablanca fans in recent years. That has made a big difference in both our comfort and our heating/AC costs. Getting ready for holiday guests, we discovered problems with the lighting control of both fans. I found Fantastic Fans on Google. They had a nearby address. I called their '800' number. Kelly fielded my call and, after a few questions, told me that 'Ray' would call me to schedule and appointment. Ray called later that day [Friday] and scheduled a service call for early Monday morning. A few minutes later Ray called back and asked to move the service call an hour later. I said, 'Yes'. Frankly, I was glad to have it later, but that isn't the point. Point is: He didn't 'tell' me he had to change the time, he 'asked' me if a change would be OK That told me he honored his commitments. When I agreed, he thanked me sincerely. I felt respected as a customer. When he came to our house today, he was all business. Both fan lights are working now. Significantly, one of the repairs was relatively trivial. Ray made that trivial repair, and told us we did not need the more expensive repair we had authorized him to make. That saved us ~$150. So I'm back to 'competent' and 'honest'. Ray is really good at what he does. Full marks!

+ -1 moreI called the company and spoke with a very knowledgeable person who understood exactly the problem with our fan and who said she would have the service technician for our area, Ray, contact us. Ray called a few hours later and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He diagnosed the problem over the phone (same conclusion as the dispatcher). He arrived on time and repaired the fan quickly.
Description of Work: Repaired our Casablanca ceiling fan which had stopped working properly by changing the controller, installing a new three-way controller ,because they no longer make the parts for the model of the fan we have.

+ -1 moreRay came out early in the morning - right on time. He had quoted me a price of $100 to replace the chain because he had to take the light apart and put in a new switch. As he was leaving I asked if he would be willing to put in the dimmer switch I had sitting on the counter in the dining room. He was very accommodating and took care of it for another $30. The $130 price was worth it to us - now we can use the ceiling fan light and our dimmer is working!
Description of Work: Replace pull chain which had been yanked out of the ceiling fan. We also had him replace a dimmer I had purchased a week ago to replace a broken one in our dining room.

+ -1 moreThis company installs ceiling fans for Valley Breeze, where I purchased the fan. I had bought fans several years ago from Valley Breeze and had them installed by the same person who is listed on the contractors license for Fantastic Fan Service. When the workers arrived, I was surprised that they were from another company, so apparently Fantastic Fan is subcontracting at least some of their work. The installation went fine, although the fan does wobble a little at high speed. The price I paid was at the high end of the range I was given when I scheduled the appointment.

I had talked with him before about the fan and he told me there was one of two things and told me what to watch for, several months later we really knew. He came on time, had the correct replacement parts, had everything he needed. He explained thoroughly on how it would change the fan. It was very fair price and my fan is perfect again. It was a pleasure to work.
Description of Work: He repaired a vintage Casa Blanka ceiling fan.

+ -1 moreTHEY DID A COMPLETE AND THOROUGH JOB. THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE FAN ITSELF. THEY CAME BACK OUT AT NO CHARGE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEN WHEN THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED ON THE OTHER FAN, THEY AGAIN RETURNED AT NO COST.
Description of Work: INSTALLED TWO CEILING FANS IN MY SONS' ROOMS. THEY ALSO PUT IN REMOTE CONTROL SWITCHED FOR THE FANS. THE FANS WERE NOT EASY TO INSTALL AS THERE WAS NO ATTIC SPACE ABOVE.
