In preparation for the installation I had to clear the first 10 feet of my garage. That was the most difficult aspect of the entire process. Two workers arrived on time Friday morning and had the new door, track and supports up by lunch. After they left I had to do some painting around the door frame but besides that clean up was minimal. If they had blown out my garage after they finished I would give them a perfect 10. The guys also gave me some tips about my 20 year-old garage door opener and changed the lightbulb for me. Very nice guys. Would recommend this company to anyone.

Got a deal through Groupon or Living Social, something like that. The service was fine, easy to make an appointment and service guy was on time. The only part I did not care for was the up-sell attempt at the end. The guy tried to tell me the door and tracks are old and needed to be replaced. When I declined to do this, he said, "OK I just hope it doesn't all off and fall on your head. Just want you to be safe." Oh please.

A+ from start to finish--very helpful and responsive over the phone; found several options for nearly-immediate service appointments; worked around our odd situation (the house is unoccupied and we currently live out of state, but workers needed access); offered advice on best option among several openers we'd selected; installed as agreeed; and sent a receipt by mail--PERFECT, Thank you!

After reading Angie's list, I drove to Chandler's showroom in Fremont. George was great. Without any kind of sales pressure, he showed me different products and explained the advantages of each. I knew the exact price and time line for installation. An inspection took place two days later to check measurements and set an installation date. The following week the crew arrived on time and completed the project in a couple of hours. I wish everything was this easy. I can see why they get rave reviews.

Chandler Garage Door Svc was responsive & showed up on time. Manny said it would take about an hour to change out the unit but actually he was done in about 1/2 the time. I was pleased with the service & Manny was very personable. Chandler will be my "go to" contractor for any service/maintenance/parts i require in the future. GOOD WORK!

They were very professional and punctual. Besides doing the Angie's List special I also paid extra for them to service the door on our detached garage in back of our house. That one required more work and the repairman was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. The door works much better than it ever has. We are so happy we found them on Angie's List!

When I called Chandler Garage Door Service, I spoke to a lady who gave me a quote over the phone. I had informed her that we had a broken sensor and a possible wall button that needed replacement. In addition, we wanted our weatherstripping on the bottom of that garage door and our second garage door to be replaced. She informed me that of the service cost, which would include replacement of the wall button but would not include the replacement of the sensor part or the weatherstripping. I understood and scheduled the appointment. On the scheduled day, the technician met with my husband- they did not have the sensor part, so they have to return to replace it. One of our openers broke. Chandler first came to inspect and diagnose. They estimated $150 to repair our unit, parts and labor; because it was 18 years old I asked what the expected life of an opener was, the technician said typically about 20 years. So thinking we could repair it only to have something else go out, I decided to simply replace the opener, which they said would cost $300 total.They had to return with a new unit, and came back and completed the work the following week. Only problem was that they left a one-button remote; we have two doors, same brand of opener, so I had asked if we could have a 2-button remote. When I called them the next day they agreed to come back and swap out the remotes; they also programmed the buttons in our car. no charge for the extra visit. Work was done well; they also inspected and adjusted the other opener in our garage and said it was fine.

It was an excellent experience. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. When I moved from my old place, I took the contact information with me and I will definitely use them in the future.

The call made to service writer was quite pleasant and informative. She gave a quote for a new garage door unit to replace mine, assuming it was entirely useless. The quote for a new unit was fine. When the service technician arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem of existing garage door unit to be the "end bell" and suggested I wouldn't need a new unit. Agreed. He replaced the part and my unit may last another 5+ years. Happy.

The two replacement panels were installed within a week of the original service call. Both the times the technician showed at the early end of the two hour time window. Installation went well, and the garage door was services again. Total time to install the new panels was two hours. Overall good service, good quality product.

The service person showed up on time. He provided service we requested for what we considered a good price. The techician did not try to sell us any components for the door since it was not damaged only had fallen off the guides. The technician did find that the cable for this door was too long and shortened it. We were very satisfied with the job performed.

The spring on our garage door broke, and we needed it fixed ASAP - the door couldn't open at all. we thought for sure we'd have to wait a few days to get an appointment, but we called anyway after looking them up on Angies List and they said they could send someone out in a couple of hours. Sure enough in a few hours the repair guy was here, he looked at the door, fixed the spring, did some other adjustments that helped the door open quiter and easier and he was done. Its been almost two months and the door worked great. Couldn't ask for better service.

Called the service to replace a broken roll up door spring. I was advised that both springs should be replaced as the unbroken spring was probably just as fatigued as the broken one. Went with the installers advise . Approximately 2 and 1/2 months later we experienced a roll up problem. I called the service and they sent a service person out within 3/4 of an hour. The serviceman determined that the wooden door required one size larger spring to correct the problem. The job was completed at no extra cost to us. We were very satisfied

It is great that they have a showroom so you can go checkout samples. There are other companies that are a little cheaper but I went with Chandler because of the overwhelming good rating they have on Angie's list and the helpful mechanic who came out to do the initial quote. My work went OK except for some subtle gotchas which are worth highlighting. I am not giving them the best rating because of these. 1. Angie's list entry says 'Free Estimates: Yes, But Ask For Details' - the detail is, they provide free estimates only for new garage doors. But this seems to be common practice. Some others I contacted get the details of what you are looking for over the phone and tell you upfront they only give free phone estimates. Chandler didn't do that. The mechanic who came to give the 'free' estimate wanted $80. I was able to get it waived after talking to the office. 2. They refused to apply the 10% coupon on Angie's list claiming it is only for 'repairs'. Technically correct but it left me disappointed. 3. They don't provide a written estimate before doing the work, only an invoice after the work is done. 4. Angie's list indicates Chandler takes VISA & MasterCard but they want 2% extra for credit cards. Angie's list should show this hidden charge.

We had chronic problems with our garage door opening and closing in a smooth manner. Other handymen had replaced rollers and remounted hinges bu the problems always returned. I was ready to replace the entire door. The Chandler serviceman was knowledgeable and helpful. He knew just what needed to be done and he provided us with some pointers on how to maintain the door.

They gave me a time window and came on time. They had a showroom and we went there. Having a showroom was really helpful as you can’t make out things by looking at the website. After looking at everything we upgraded things. They were friendly. Their service was good. Whatever they told us was true. They helped us. It was a really good service. I would use them in the future.

The knew immediately what was wrong. Fixed the problem and tightened some other things and greased everything. Works great now. The men were pleasant to work with and took care of things promptly.

Called several different companies to get an estimate on replacing an old garage door opener as well as adding a keypad entry. I had already bought the actual garage door opener. Decided on Chandler based on the reviews here (as well as on yelp). They were able to send someone over on the same day! Larry, the technician, came a bit late -- but still in the scheduled window time. Larry was very courteous and professional. He was very thorough in making sure all the parts were there before starting. He explained everything he was going to do and even gave me some general pointers on garage door maintenance. His work was detailed -- the wiring work was done crisp and tight. I'm a stickler for quality, detailed work -- and was impressed by the work done.
