Right Way Garage Doors

Larry MacDonald came out and did routine maintenance on our garage door. This included lubrication, balance check, spring adjustment. Larry was on time and pleasant to work with. I would use Chandler again.

Their quote was good and they did not try to sell me more expensive door/opener that I do not need. They were punctual and professional for both the quote and the installation. The installation was well done. The only small mix-up was that the technician picked up mismatched panels of different styles. He finished the job with what he had and came back a few days later to swap out the incorrect panels.

We were very happy with the service, and they did a good job. The owner came right out and gave us an estimate. They were very responsive in terms of pricing, and installation, and we got it done quickly, and we are also looking at hiring them again to do another job for me. They were very responsive, in terms of scheduling.

We chose Chandler for work performed on the original redwood door of our Mackay home in August, 2013, because: 1) We liked the reviews on Angie's List, and Chandler offered a 10% discount for list members 2) The woman who answered our call in Chandler's office explained clearly and politely that there would be a charge for someone to come look at our non-working garage door and door opener. She also explained that if we chose Chandler to perform door repairs and/or to install a new opener, we would be credited for the initial visit against the costs for repairs/new opener. Staffers at other door repair businesses were very huffy and brusque about the service call charge, which is a logical industry practice, and not one I would have questioned, given the chance. However, there was such an obvious difference in the attitudes and consideration of the Chandler staffer, we chose them to at least do the preliminary "look over" to determine what needed to be done. 3) A friend who lives in San Jose had used Chandler to put a screw-driven door opener on a garage door similar to ours, and was happy with the install. 4) We were given a reasonable, onsite quote for replacing the 4 springs on the door and replacing the old garage door opener, and an appointment was set at the same time, for two weeks later (at our request). Manny, our installer, showed up within the time window, finished very close to his estimated completion time, was professional, friendly, courteous and attentive to keeping the work area neat and clean. When all was finished, Manny took the time to show us how the wall switches and remotes worked on the garage door opener, how to use the new manual lift, if needed, how the sensors for detecting door obstructions worked, etc. He reminded us to register the door opener to activate the warranty, too! Finally, Manny made sure that we were charged exactly as originally quoted, accepted our check for the given amount, and immediately emailed the receipt to us; we received the receipt before he left.

The door wasn't opening properly. They re-did the rollers and it has worked well ever since.

THE TECHNICIAN (EDGAR) ARRIVED EXACTLY WHEN SCHEDULED. ASSESSED THE SITUATION, REMOVED OLD OPENER AND INSTALLED THE NEW ONE. HE ADJUSTED EVERYTHING SO IT DIDN'T HIT MY TRUCK (CLOSE FIT) , REMOVED ALL THE OLD PARTS AND SWEPT THE GARAGE. DEMONSTRATED USAGE AND LEFT INSTRUCTIONS. ONLY TOOK A COUPLE OF HOURS. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Chandler Garage Door was very responsive to my request for a quote to install a new insulated garage door. They came out the day after I called them, took measurements and gave me a quote right on the spot. They confirmed that my opener didn't need to be replaced, just rehung. I got other estimates but Chandler was equal to the others and they seemed much more professional. The installers arrived on time (within 20 minutes of the start of their arrival window) and were friendly and very professional. Al and Daniel kept me informed of what they were doing every step of the way. They installed the new door, rehung the opener, cleaned up and were finished within 2-1/2 hours. Excellent job!

Arrived on time. Accepted multiple forms of payment. Gave my a price before starting work. Did a tidy and professional job. Finished more quickly than I had expected. Did not try to up-sell me. I did not compare prices as I knew it would be a small job.

We bought a house that had a old and unsafe door, so we knew we needed to have a new garage door installed before moving in. We checked with a couple of places and decided to go with Chandler Garage Door, mostly because of the positive reviews on Angieslist and because they were local. They answered all our questions about the garage doors, and we are very happy with our choice to go with them. They were friendly, knowledgable, prompt, courteous, and professional. The install was on time and went very smoothly. In fact, when they didn't have the remote we wanted in stock they simply upgraded us for free so that we can have our install on schedule. We would definitely use them again for garage door service.

Manny was on time and did all the work quickly and professionally. He gave me advice regarding the age of my door and showed me how to lubricate it periodically to keep it in good working order.

Our 1959 house has a 1982 garage door system. Amazing that it lasted as long as it did - over 30 years! On December 21, 2012, it started having problems. Chandler came out to give their opinion. It needed new springs right away. ($202.50). They also recommended replacing the garage door opener, as it was just barely making it. That would be $300. Well, $300 at Christmastime for something that wasn't yet REALLY broken was too much for me. We just replaced the springs. I should have listened to them. The door gasped it's dying breath only 1 week later. So I replaced the garage door opener on Jan 2nd. I should have done it all at once and saved myself the hassle of 2 separate visits. My point is, they knew what they were talking about, yet didn't ever try to force me into doing something I didn't think was necessary. They do great work for very fair prices. They will continue to be my go-to garage door guys.

Got a quote from this company through Angie's list. Very quick response to request for quote and a repair tech came out next day to do the repair. A bit disappointed that I had to ask for the Angie's list discount even though the customer service rep knew the request came through Angie's list. She also didn't seem too happy about giving the discount. Repair tech was very knowledgeable although he seemed to be in a big hurry to get the job done.

All appointments (quote, work) all on time. Professional. All went smoothly and better than expected.

I called Chandler Garage Doors because I had a problem with my garage door not closing properly. An appointment was made with a date and time window in a very professional manner...first positive experience.. The second positive eperience I had was that the Chandler sevice person was on time for the appointment. The Chandler service person (Edgar) was very friendly and professional. And, perhaps the most important positive experience was that he fixed my garage door problem in short order.

Everything in the process was good. Timely estimate, easy to schedule work, price was good, work looks great.

Chandler did an excellent job. The person they sent was late but called to let me know. They explained everything and answered all of my questions. They did the work in the amount of time estimated. The person was friendly and did not mind when my six year old son kept asking him questions. No pressure to sell more services. I was very happy with the quality of the work.

A couple parts of our garage door opener broke and Chandler sent in a couple of technicians. The first one diagnosed the problem for free and the second one repaired it. The second technician, Larry MacDonald, was particularly good. He was very honest in his assessment of the situation and gave me a lower quote for the parts than another technician. Some technicians are quite motivated to sell new doors and motors, but Larry told me that only two parts need to be repaired to restore the door to good working condition. He made sure the motor was in good condition, balanced the door, greased the hinges, and even waxed some rubbing parts that caused some squeaking that annoyed him. He also gave me some good advice on general upkeep. He was on time, very courteous, and worked efficiently in 1.5 hours to fix everything.

He came prepared. He was oiled it, greased it, and showed me how it had been installed wrong and showed me how to maintain it. He set an appointment, he got here on time, and he showed me what lubricants to buy for the garage door. He was really good and explained everything clearly to me!

Came out at promised time for quote. "Larry" was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Charged $80 just for the visit. But, did not come out within the "2-hour" window for the actual repair. Had to call them after the 2 hours, and that's when they told me they were going to be another 45 minutes! Disappointed they did not try to give me a discount for the trouble. Was VERY disappointed that they wouldn't accept my Angie's List coupon because they said the coupon says "repair" and this was a "replacement" Not sure about the quality yet, because only time will tell after I've used it for a while.

He did exactly what the deal said. It was perfect. I called them again after that. They performed the other service for me which was also excellent.

The crew was punctual and professional. They did the job very quickly, explaining maintenance and safety points as they did. I received the door that I had ordered, professionally installed and tested by a friendly crew who were more than willing to stop and answer any question that I asked. I was then instructed in the operation and maintenance proceedures and they then proceeded to clean up and leave the site as clean as it was before they arrived including the removal of the old garage door and its hardware. Overall it was a smooth and satisfying experience and the price was competitive. In return for a simple satisfaction survey I received a one hundred percent increase in the warranty period. I was very satified, to say the least. The door looks good and is operating flawlessly.
