+ -1 moreLozano was late, didn't show up for weeks, didn't call, made excuses. He billed them for thousands of dollars of work that either had to be redone or he never even performed. A job that he said would take about 8 weeks is now into it's second year. Your basic nightmare. But better, so much better than that, Lozano never pulled the permits. for which he had charged my daughter and her husband. They paid Lozano about $11,000 before they finally threw in the towel. They thought they would hire someone else to finish up and that's when we found out that it was going to be much more expensive to correct problems caused by Lozano. They have paid (again) for the permits and are going to have to do about $10,000.00 worth of work---if they are lucky. And we all hope that will be it. They have reported him to the State Contractors Board and are seeking payment from his bond. Unfortunately, they are not his only victims----makes a full recovery a problem. But, no worries, Jeff. For whatever reason, my husband, myself, our relatives, and friends all seemed to love to go to law school. We'll figure out something.
Description of Work: My daughter and her husband did a gut and renovation of their home in Davis. She and her husband did many aspects of the work themselves----anything that handy, talented and energetic people can do on their own, like tear down, structural reinforcement, flooring & cabinets. They hired Lozano to do the more complicated work that needed expertise, such as extending a room, repairing and putting in some new electrical, additional plumbing. (They hired other non-related contractors for other work like tiling, dry wall, and painting.)

Description of Work: After our kitchen remodel was abandoned by Ambience Designs, Jeff, the subcontractor on the job, put together a price to finish my project which was in budget. He did not make a lot of money on it, as he hardly charged us more than the materials, but did it our of the goodness of his heart. Another contractor's bid was $8000 more than Lozano bid, which we could not afford. Jeff finished the work and my kitchen is GORGEOUS. I a having him paint the rest of the house this week. He is attentive, communicative, and very very professional. He is especially good at granite!!!

+ 0 moreTimeliness and being on schedule and planning were not good. The detailing and finishing was not up to the standard what I wanted. Their pricing is good on some things and not so good on some things.
Description of Work: I used Lozano Construction to remodel the kitchen, bathroom, and painting work. They also did some molding work. They started the work last July and finished it in February this year.
