+ -1 moreMr. Babb hooked up a propane line to the house for us in 2011 and came on another call sometime in 2012 or 2013. I like and trust him, but several months ago I wanted him to look at something else and he never responded to the message I left on his phone. I get the impression that he is not interested in jobs that a dedicated do-it-yourselfer could do, but that is only a guess. Now that I have moved out of Vacaville, I suppose I'll look for someone else.
Description of Work: Failed to respond to voice mail.

+ -1 moreI had used Barney at Affordable Plumbing twice before for other issues. One morning I had noticed water around my main sprinkler system valves once again, about the fourth time since I've lived here. Last September a maintenance person came out to replace a valve. Two years ago, a major plumbing company (who I'll never use again) replaced my water main and put on a regulator. Once before that I had still another problem. Each time water goes under my house! So, I figured that I'd call Affordable Plumbing this time since the other three people didn't resolve the problem by just adding components to the system. Barney replaced the entire unit with new valves and pvc pipes. He and his apprentice were out here for two hours. He was able to come first thing in the morning before going to another job. I would definitely use him again as he has been in business for a long time and he doesn't gouge you like the big companies do, or lie to you.
Description of Work: He replaced the valves and pvc pipe for my sprinkler system.

Description of Work: The faucet in our second bathroom only sent out hot water. I called Affordable Plumbing based upon the report on Angie's List. After talking with the gentleman, he said he didn't know if it would be worth his time to drive to our community to look at the problem (a drive of about 10 miles!!) but he would call me later in the morning. I never heard back from him. He could have been more diplomatic and stated he was too busy (hard to believe in this economy) and suggested I call another plumber. Had this been done I would have considered using him for any future needs, but I certainly won't now.
