They were competent, clean, and they were careful not to cause any damage. Their price was also very reasonable and I would use them again.

I contacted the Company and spoke to Tom directly. He was very professional and came out to give me an estimate the same day we spoke. He left me one of his books (which I dropped off later in the week) so I could review my options of adding additional trees in my yard. I did not end up having any work done since I had some limitations due to fact that tree I wanted to remove was considered city property. However, I would call the company back if I choose to do other add trees to my yard and would recommend the company to anyone who needed this service.

His crew is excellent. They are very professional and clean up after themselves. His prices are very reasonable. I even recommended him to my mother.

The magnolia tree in front was covering up my front windows and made it difficult to see out. Lemon tree was just growing too large, since it started out as a dwarf (albeit 35 years ago). The crew did a great job in thinning and reshaping both trees. I was pleased with the work, left the front and back yards clean, and worked very well as a team.

After I lost a couple limbs into my neighbors yard my neighbor had the City's code enforcement cite me to have trees trimmed back. I was only given 3 days to comply or face civil suit from city according to citation. Didn't have time to shop around. I had bad experiences in the past with other tree companies workers showing up & trying to squeeze more money (cash) above the estimate or they would leave & once I said no they all didn't speak English any more so I joined Angies List hoping to use reviews to get better service. Overall Tom Day's guys did a 8-9 job out of a possible 10, but I thought the price was too high. If the price was lower & they took all their lunch trash & drink bottles when they left I might have given them a 10. Wish I would've had more time to shop around a little.

The fallen branch showed signs of termites and I asked about treating the tree to get rid of the termites. Tom was professional and honest during the estimate. His knowledge of trees goes beyond any other arborist I've ever met. He suggested that my tree was very old and showed signs of scalding due to poor pruning. He estimated that it might live another 2 to 5 years and showed how some areas of the tree were already dead. He gave me an estimate to remove the tree and replace it with a new one and also suggested that I could leave the tree the way it is since it will continue to bear fruit for a few more seasons. I chose to let the tree finish the season since it already has quite a bit of fruit waiting to ripen but I will be sure to use Tom Day for all my future tree service.

He was very professional. They cut the trees well. The reason for me to go ahead with them is because they gave a competitive estimate. The job was professionally done and supervised. They were on schedule. I was pleased with their work. They did what I wanted. They used their professional expertise to do the work. I did not tell them everything. I just gave them some guidelines and they went ahead. I am very pleased with their work. The pricing was competitive but average. They were called on emergency so they had to cancel our appointment. They do emergency work.

Team showed up on time, worked quickly and professionally, and were responsive to my concerns and requests for what we wanted done. Very satisfied with overall results.

Tom arrived to give us an estimate 1 day after we had contacted him. His crew came out the next day and did a very good job quickly and professionally. The trees look great and they cleaned up every bit of debris.

We asked for them to come on a specific day and time range to give us an estimate and they were more than willing to oblige our request. They came in our requested time period and gave us a quote for the removal of a pine tree including the stump that was planted too close to the house. I also need a second large tree trimmed that was hard to get to behind the garage. They showed up the follow Monday and performed the work as requested. They did a great job with trimming the tree behind the garage; I would not have known it was trimmed if I didn't know how much it was overhanging the roof prior to trimming. They also did a great job at removing the stump and adjoining roots on the tree that was removed. I will definitely hire them again for any tree work I need taken care of.

Tom came out the same day I called. He scheduled the work for the next day, telling me that he would call if they couldn't come out first thing (8am). He was good as gold, calling me promptly the night before and informing me that I would be the third job of the day and to expect them around 11:00 or noon. Tom arrived with his crew on time, introduced me to his two gentlemen. They had already set up the large chipper and truck to haul the chips away. One gentlemen went up the tree about 40 feet, with a chainsaw and cut the limb completely off. He also cleared out other branches in the area to make it look better. Overall there were about 15 or 20 ten foot long limbs that they chainsawed up and chipped. Once they were done, they raked up the pine needles and disposed of them in the chipper as well. No muss, no fuss, no mess! They're wonderful. It was so exciting to watch as well. They are definitely experts at what they do.

They came out and did some tree service at our place recently. We were very impressed with the service. First of all they didn't use any chain saws for the trimming work. The entire trimming was done by hand. They even brought out a horticulturist to look at the trees and to make recommendations. Tom went above and beyond the call of duty in every aspect of the job. I would recommend them and I will use them again. As a bonus, they were very reasonable.

I was surprised at how pleased I was with this work. The crew was timely, responsive and respectful. I thought it was well worth the money for the work they did. The owner stopped by to check on things a few days later. I appreciated that. The crew did a great job on my trees, they did not turn my trees into ugly stumps which would not grow back nicely or naturally as so many tree trimmers do. Instead, they carefully took out the dead wood and cut back really heavy branches which might be dangerous.

This tree was a mess with crazy, crossing branches. The neighbors had hacked at the west side of the tree, since it went over their fence. Tom Day Tree Service came over and provided a free estimate the day after I first called. I then requested that they trim the tree and they came over the next week. The tree came out beautiful and is nicely clear of the high power lines. They left the tree with a nice shape, they cleaned up all the branches and they didn't stomp on the small plants that were planted under the tree. They were amazingly easy to deal with, everything went as expected with no hassle and no unpleasant surprises. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

They did a great job and kept the area very clean and clear that they were working in. The price they originally gave me was about $300.

The work got scheduled sooner than we thought it would. They arrived promptly and talked to us first to make sure they knew what we wanted. During the job they would ask questions and were very accepting of our input. We asked for some additional work that was not in the estimate and a reasonable price was added on. The cleanup was meticulous, they even swept our carport, which was pretty bad to begin with! They were very competent and extremely knowledgeable about trees and tree health. Tom is coming back to plant some trees for us and has given us valuable advice on what to plant.

THEY'RE VERY PROMPT. THEY'RE REALLY NICE. WE'VE USED THEM BEFORE SO WE'VE USED THEM MORE THAN ONCE. MY ONLY NEGATIVE THING, IS I DON'T BELIEVE THEY'RE LICENSED EVEN THOUGH THEY PUT THAT ON THEIR CARD. THEY'RE REALLY FAST.

I LIKED THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE VERY PICKY ABOUT MY TREES. THEY DON'T OVER DO IT, AND THEY CALL ME OUT TO HAVE ME DOUBLE CHECK IT BEFORE THEY GO ON, SO THEY DON'T MESS IT UP.

WHEN THEY COME, THEY GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE, AND THEY ALWAYS STICK TO THE PRICE. YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE PAYING FOR. THERE ARE NEVER ANY SURPRISES. THE WORKERS KNOW HOW TO TRIM EACH DIFFERENT TYPE OF TREE PROPERLY. THEY ALWAYS CLEAN UP EVERYTHING FROM YOUR YARD TO THE STREET. THEY ACTUALLY SWEEP UP THE STREET AFTER THEY DO THE SHREDDING IN THEIR CUTTER.

THE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. HE WAS A PLEASANT MAN, HE WAS VERY NICE. OUR NEIGHBORS SAID THEY LOOKED VERY GOOD. HE WAS VERY REASONABLE IN PRICE COMPARED TO OTHER ESTIMATES. HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING, HE WAS EXCELLENT. HE DIDN'T OVER-PRUNE. HE WAS VERY RESPONSIVE. HIS PUNCTUALITY WAS EXCELLENT. HE HAD ALL THE EQUIPMENT AND WAS WELL PREPARED. HE DIDN'T LEAVE A MESS AND HE WAS VERY CLEAN.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE I HAD DONE. THEY WERE VERY CLEAN. THEY HAVE DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY ARE VERY POLITE PEOPLE. THE SECRETARY WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT MY CONCERN.
