Description of Work: Don’t underestimate the value of a fair, honest estimate! When we first began looking for a general contractor in 2004 we got several estimates which varied considerably in price. We decided to call a local building inspector and ask for a referral to a reputable contractor. The first name we were given was Royce Construction, a local construction company with over 25 years of experience in the custom home market. We were told that Royce frequently met building code requirements and was honest and reliable. After meeting with him, we chose Royce as the general contractor given his extensive experience in the local market and familiarity with the permit process. Having served on Atascadero's planning commission; we knew Royce would have the inside track to keep the job on schedule and running smoothly. Royce explained every step of the construction process and always kept us abreast of new developments as each phase of the building progressed. He worked closely with us to make sure things were being done the way we wanted and made some great suggestions when we weren't sure how we wanted things, such as kitchen design or fixture placement. Royce gave us a fair price, delivered quality work, and kept our stress level down with his customer centric approach. He even finished the job just UNDER the budgeted price. Royce is a great professional builder with a varied background and understanding of the building process. He saved us time and money and I highly recommend his services. More recently, we bought a home in Paso Robles and once again we called Royce. He helped us renovate our master bathroom. We will definitely use him for all future additions and renovations.
