Complete Drywall Solutions

I first called Lorenzo during the week - and we setup an appointment for him to come over and review the house for an estimate on Saturday 3/23 at 11:00 AM. My husband and I stayed home all morning - and planned things around this appointment. Lorenzo did not show - up When i called him - he said he had to go to sacramento to visit his sister - so he couldnt come. He apologized - and we setup another appointment for Monday 3/25 at 7:00 PM On Monday - i called Lorenzo in the afternoon to confirm our appointment - and he tells me " I have another big job i'm doing - so i wont have time to do your job OR to give you an estimate - unless you start a month later"! I was obviously upset at his professionalism - he seemed to have no intention of calling me to even inform me of the above himseld!! Finally - I told him I would put this in a review - and at that - he said he would come at 7:00 to give me a quote! OK - well - he showed up promptly at 7:00 PM - and he seemed nice to talk to - so i was thinking maybe the above was just a one time thing.. He promised to get me a quote by tuesday 3/26 - morning. Tuesday morning - no quote i called him at 5:00 PM - he said I would get the quote by 9:00 PM Tuesday night - no quote FInally recieved the quote on 4/3!! and guess what? the quote was 4 times more than what every other drywall contractor i have contacted for the above job has given me.. You dont want to do this job ? I get it..

Lorenzo was very responsive and professional, and his pricing was very competitive. I was thoroughly impressed with his insistence on doing the right thing to make sure that I received the level of quality that I was expecting. His team was there to support that approach, and I couldn't be happier with the work they did. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a quality drywalling contractor.

I called a couple weeks ago for a quote on repairing the drywall or our garage ceiling. We had a leak and plumbers came and repaired the leak but left two holes in the ceiling. I had 3 companies come for quotes. Lorenzo the owner came and took pictures took 10 mins then emailed the quote. I picked him because he was very warm and professional and his quote was reasonable.I called him last week to schedule the work. We settled on today at 10am. He was at my home at 9:55, and stayed while the work was done. It was a seamless experience. I will call them again when needed.

I never heard back from him. But, since he was so nice and responsive on the phone, I thought I would give him another chance. He was relieved to hear from me since he said he lost my number and expressed his appreciation for the 2nd chance. We agreed on a day/time, but he never showed. This is rather disconcerting considering all the glowing reviews on here. But, who knows....sh*t happens and maybe I just hit him at a bad time. Nevertheless, this is my experience and I felt it important to provide my experience in case a trend develops.

This project went as well or better than any project I've had preformed in my 25 years at this address. Lorenzo Hernandez (the contractor) , provides excellent communication and kept me informed of all progress. He checked with me at the end of each day to see if I had any questions or issues with what had transpired each day. He also called me each morning (or met with me each morning) to outline the day's activities. The project took 5 days (as Lorenzo estimated). The work crew showed up on time each day. They were neat, polite and took good care of my property. The work site was kept clean and was left neat at the end of each day.

Great, Lorenzo was the first one to call me back and was always very responsive and profesional. Showed up on time, always called, always had a smile and they did good work.

Overall, I had a good experience with Complete Drywall. Lorenzo came out to give me an estimate quickly and responded to all my questions. He provided a detailed proposal, and I felt that as we walked through each room and he asked me questions about what finishes I wanted etc, that he was paying a lot more attention than the competing contractor who did the speed walkthrough and then just gave me a verbal number and randomly offered to lower it when I later mentioned I was thinking of going with someone else. I did end up changing my mind on a few things that resulted in us agreeing to a slightly higher price than originally agreed. But I definitely feel I got my moneys worth, and the add-ons were reasonable. He did not ding me or require change orders for every little thing that came up as we went. Lorenzo was quite easy to communicate with, though a little over-eager for me to be his next customer to rate him highly on Service Magic (where he has quite high ratings... I figured instead I would provide my rating here since there are none yet.) Though, I guess given a choice, I'd rather have someone who cares about me being a happy customer than someone who doesn't. And they did seem to care about me being happy. Lorenzo was very good about walking through the house with me at various stages and making sure that I was pleased. There were several times when I pointed out a little dent or area that I thought needed more attention, that he would then address without complaint. Sometimes this was just things that weren't yet done and were still going to get another coat or whatnot but not always, and he was very patient with me wanting to be very involved/informed along the way and taking lots of progress pictures. There were a few places that didn't come out perfectly. Mostly I attribute to this to poor planning on my part and a little lack of communication directly with the person who ended up doing the work. In one case, in the place where I wanted some smooth and some textured drywall, I did a relatively detailed drawing on the wall of where the cabinets would go, to locate said line. However, between me telling Lorenzo what I wanted and him trying to mark the critical line in red and then relay my desires to his brother and father, the masking didn't quite get done in the right way. I did notice this just before we got to that portion of the kitchen with the texturing, but failed to double check the precision of the line when they fixed it, and as a result didn't quite get the line where I wanted it. I wished I'd just told the brother directly since he ended up doing more of the actual work in that area (and was also easy to work with). In another case, I wanted some touch-up on my "secret" passageway. This wasn't in the original bid, and Lorenzo suggested that we wait til the end and see then. Between mostly being ready to leave and thus not having time to do multiple coats with touchup in between and not being able to speak directly with his father (who was very skilled and friendly, but didn't speak English much), I felt that I didn't really get what I was looking for in this area. On the other hand, in the case of some damage to a mirror during the rock-hanging process, Lorenzo was quite reasonable in adjusting the price or going out and replacing the mirror with one in kind. In fact, in general, I felt they did a pretty good job of all the care, masking, and cleanup required. I had no idea that texturing was really a process of literally flinging mud everywhere! And I never would have guesses it if I had only seen it afterwards, once the paper on the floor was removed and all the openings were uncovered. Overall, I am pleased with the quality of the job and intend to use them again when I get to phase two of the remodel.
